wind that came through last night. it crushed a car and damaged the other. this kind of damage is not widespread, the storm seemed to pick and choose the targets but nor those in the target's bull's-eye, it was bad. >> the spot that got hit was hit hard. this massive tree toppled and crushed donna ruth's car, all she heard was the wind and a snap. >> i looked outside and the tree was all over the cor. i just moved here and my husband just passed away, i'm not feeling good about this. >> tammy says she didn't realize that the top of a massive tree crushed her above the ground pool when she went to get it ready for her grandkids. >> i went out side to turn on

this morning's storms. we have one storm moving to the northern fringe of baltimore, it's slowly moving off to the east at 20 to 25 miles per hour. if it holds together it could push into northern newcastle county. because the atmosphere is still warm and muggy. there is still a slight risk for severe weather, and if anything pops north and west of philadelphia through the lehigh valley, there is no severe thunderstorm watch or warning in affect at this time. 88 in philadelphia, and 88 in dover, again the sea breeze is kicking in only in the 70s at the shore and with many folks still without power and if you had no power, it's uncomfortable with the dew points, ranging into the lower 70s and 60s to the south, oppressive to the south but drier air and cooler dew points coming in from the north. we have a nice change coming for the end of the week, we'll have

the full forecast coming up in just a little bit. we are talking about how tens of thousands of people are going out power again today. that means no air conditioning on a sticky, summer day. nora muchanic continues our coverage in burlington county. there was some heavy damage there as well? >> there was indeed, the storm did not last long but created real damage, that is a 50-60 foot tree it came down in seconds and waffled everything in its path and it's a miracle nobody was hurt. >> it's a lot of history and a lot of shade that is gone. >> kevin and becky are surveying the damage that was caused by a giant ash tree in their backyard that fell and crushed everything it fell on. >> we lost at least one boat and a car or truck, it actually blew out all the tires and we can't even get to it yet.

the chancellor was summoned to address those alligations. a carjacking and robbery in wilmington ended when one of suspects crash nood a dart bus, it was enough to send both vehicles on the sidewalk. police say the car had run a stop sign and the suspect had to be cut out of the wreckage. he is a convicted felon and a suspect in a robbery just hours before this crash. eva pilgram will have more on a live report tonight at 5:00. >> still ahead, the man famous for leading new orleans through hurricane katrina is in prison.

former mayor of new orleans is now heading to prison. a judge handed down a 10 year sentence for ray nagin for bribery and other corruption charges. including the chaotic aftermath of hurricane katrina. the democrat said he didn't do anything wrong and after learning his punishment, he said i trust god will work all of this out. stocks were higher after comments from the fed eased

with temperatures in the low to mid-80s, anywhere north and west of philadelphia, 88 in center city, and as we slide to the south, delaware mid-80s and 85 in bridgeton and right along the shore we have the sea brees just like the last two days kicking in and holding the temperatures in the upper 70s. the wind comes in off the water and stabilizes the atmosphere especially along the shore. 92 in willing ton and 94 in philadelphia not as high as yesterday but enough that it has some energy in the atmosphere, fuel that any of the storms that develop could turn to the side. they have issued these watches, a half hour ago they said they would not issue a watch and now there is a watch out. this is something we have to follow until 10ek, most of the area with the exception of cape may coin. that means the potential is

there, it's not a definite, the potential is there for storms that do pop, and like last night it would be locally damaging windses. the watches are issues for our area all the way into northern new england and parts of washington and baltimore. there is a line that is trying to develop and it's broken at this present time. as we look at future tracker at 6:00, future tracker not so much agreeing with the way, can you see not much is happening at 6:00 there is one or two cells that are trying to develop, you done have the squall line that future tracker showed beautifully yesterday taz was pushing in. most of the area is generally quiet and there will be some random downpours to develop, but even at 11:00, there are storms that fire and that is because the front is passing through and at 7:30 tomorrow morning, the front sinks to the south and clouds lag behind i-95 and left

android devices. >> it took atlantic city police hours to arrest a naked man inside a home after firing at officers, it started when neighbors living along the 600 block of elderon avenue, when police arrived. after more than 90 minutes of negotiations, he was quickly captured and take and to the hop for evaluation, no word on charges he will face, a burlington county woman is accused of stealing $45,000 from her travel agency customers. they say that christine hazelton ran a travel agency out of her home, she sold at least eight people travel packages for an overseas trip to england and then told them it was canceled and did not refund their money.

>> a man is accused of hiding heroin in his child's diaper. michael penn was originally arrested for shoplifting yesterday. when officers approached him they noticed him slip something into the child's pants, they found 16 bags of heroin inside of the baby's diaper, penn is free on bail and the child is staying with another family member. the cleanup continues in delaware coin after the storms that moved through last night. downed utility poles blocked traffic near providence avenue. and a close call outside of the providence hospital when a pole came down next to that minivan there. fortunately the family was inside of the building with their dog.
