police connerd a suspect gunman who has lock himself inside of his car. here are the the details. police say that he has shot and killed, six people, four of whom were children. police believe that the victims were relatives of the gunman, authorities say that the shooting resulted from a domestic problem. specifically, a break up in the family, that lived inside of the house. police chased the suspect after the shootings and intercepted him 3 miles from the shooting scene and at this hour the standoff, continues tonight. in fact, we now can go to a live picture of that street where police have cornered this shooting suspect for a long period of time now, and word is and we're trying to see this along with you, that police officer, members of the swat team, are now out of their special vehicles and approaching the koran foot. hard to see because it is so dark. but we are trying to discern what is happening, on the

retired elementary schoolteacher was treated. she has lived here for 50 years and has never had any problems, until today. >> i'm better now then i was earlier today. >> reporter: bruised and sore, 91 year-old ought bring washington is recovering from a scary situation. it was 2:00 in the afternoon, she had been at senior center when she return to her home in philadelphia's cobbs creek neighborhood. she opened up the door and walked in on two men burglarizing her home. >> unaudible. >> that is the hard part of about it. i put the key in the lock, and i opened up the door and then something went over my head, and over my face. >> reporter: men then snatched her jewelry off of her fingers >> they grabbed both of my hand, they slipped my rings. >> reporter: her head still covered, one of the men punched the 91 year-old in the mouth but washington for the back. >> somebody put their hand up, to my face or something, they

put their finger out and i bit the finger. >> reporter: washington was hit again, and then fell to her knees, blacking out. >> i'm sore first. i'm shocked that it happened to me because i never thought this would happen to me, and mad at the same time. >> reporter: meanwhile the men fled out of the back door with a tv stuffed into a suitcase. that suitcase was later found in a nearby alley. outing, upbeat woman, she's thankful to be alive, but she hopes that the young men are caught. >> i hope they find them, and despite my injuries and despite i try to keep a good spirit about everything. and ask the lord to keep me for another day. >> reporter: the now, detectives have processed this home, looking for any fingerprint but they tell us that the men were wearing some type of a gloves on their fingers. meanwhile, one of the rings that was stolen has been

"action news" caught up with this peco crew on county line road in saybrook in radnor township. 16,000 peco customers are still in the dark. the that majority of those without power are in chester county. the at the height of the storm last night, more than 200,000 peco customers were without

electricity. sky six is live, in center city philadelphia tonight as the delaware valley largely escaped a second night of stormy weather. lets get the latest from double scan radar and meteorologist cecily tynan. >> jim, fortunately we did not get any repeat performance of last night with the gusty squall line of thunderstorms moving through. storm tracker six double scan showing we are storm free. we did have some showers and thunderstorms across the shore. they have moved off coast. about an hour ago. but there is a cluster of some thunderstorms in the northern lehigh valley and in the poconos this one line working across route 611 heading east. two lightening strikes associated with this in the past 15 minutes. also some showers near slatington. they are not severe, however, earlier this evening, between 5:00 and 6:00 we did have some severe storms in northampton county. that was reporting hail an inch in diameter. that is quarter sized and moore township reporting hail the size of pink --

owner was working on a truck when the fuel spill somehow ignited. the home owner was hospitalized with minor burns, a fire fighter working at the scene suffered from heat exhaustion. the parents of the four children who died in last weekend's fire, poured out their emotions to philadelphia city officials to day. councilman johnson, held a meeting to discuss the circumstances, surrounding the blaze. residents of the 6500 block of gesner street in southwest philadelphia, have said that the emergency response was too slow. fire officials, reject that saying crew is a arrived within three minutes but these grieving parents say that is not enough. >> the city is saying that we are out there, for accurate information, are we stupid. we lost four kids? i want them to say i'm sorry, i'm with y'all. >> liberia's ambassador to the united states was also there tonight.

a buckling foundation wall toys blame for collapse of the two row homes in the cobbs creek section of philadelphia the department of licenses and inspections says that a party wall dividing 6015 and 6017 spruce street collapsed on monday, causing the buildings to cave-in. fortunately nobody was hurt. a contractor must now demolish what is left of the houses within 30 days and inspectors say that the surrounding homes are safe. philadelphia police say a woman was held hostage by her boyfriend tonight in germantown and subjected to unspeakable violence. live at the scene of the 100 block of queen lane is "action news" reporter, kenneth moton, kenneth? >> reporter: jim, police are still holding this scene for the special victims unit which is getting a search warrant right now for this home near germantown avenue. at this hour the victim is being treated for her injuries, and man suspect of attacking her is being held at svu. only "action news" was there moments after philadelphia

police, freed the 27 year-old germantown woman who they say was bound, gagged, and raped on queen lane. investigators say it appears her 40 year-old live in boyfriend whom we spotted handcuffed and loaded in the back of the police van is responsible. >> so sad, because she is a nice person and for what i have seen i thought he was a nice person. >> reporter: police got a tip call about the woman being held hostage. just after 6:00 p.m. officers say they encountered the suspect who threatened to shoot them if they walk through the door. five minutes later and after swat was called in the man walk out and surrendered. the victim was discover in the back bathroom, a piece of cloth within her mouth and her wrist were bound so tightly that there was severe breezing. >> she did have a romantic relationship with this male, they lived together as boyfriend and girlfriend. however, we're also getting information that she tried to break off this relationship. >> reporter: a friend of the couple sat outside the home surprised as police guarded the front door.
