happened outside the hospital. tam is off, nydia han joins us. >> good morning, let's head over to david murphy, good morning to you, david. >> reporter: good morning, matt and nydia. we had showers that donald most of the area but -- dodged most of the area, but did hit south jersey and delaware. temperatures are warm this morning, 76 degrees in philadelphia. 74 in wilmington, 72 in trenton. 74 in sea isle city. if you're up in allentown or out toward reading you're in the 60s partly cloudy skies mild conditions temperatures in the 70s, a little bit on the sticky side. as we roll through the day, 77 degrees by 9:00 a.m. 83 by noon, 84 by 3:00 p.m., i think we'll hit that 86-degree high earlier in the afternoon, 2:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. we're down to 80. there's a chance of a spotty

girl daughter called 911 despite being shot in the head, she managed i.d. the shooter. the gunman and his wife are estranged and all the children were theirs. the wounded 15-year-old girl told authorities he planned to go to the grandparents home and kill them. that tip intercepted the suspect. >> we stationed the constable deputies on the street about five minutes after we did that, he comes driving up. >> reporter: the man fled the scene followed by 2 dozen vehicles. an armored vehicle rammed into his car. after hours of negotiations, the man emerged from his car and was arrested. taman bradley abc news

washington. the search continues for a shooter who gunned down a man in the middle of the street. the action cam was on the 100 block of east 22nd street in wilmington, delaware. a 27-year-old man was shot several times and pronounced at the hospital. police are trying to figure out what might have motivated the shooting. the red cross is helping # # -- 7 victims from an overnight house fire. the crews contained the fire to the basement of the home. no jitters were reported. the -- no injuries were reported. the cause is under investigation. the search is on for two armed and brazen bandits who attacked a 91-year-old woman in philadelphia. she left the senior center and opened the door and walked in on two men burglarizing her home. the men attacked her, but she fought back, you'll hear from washington coming up at

5:00 a.m. >> philadelphia police say they will charge a man for holding his live-in girlfriend hostage and raping her. "action news" was on green lane in germantown when officers freed the 27-year-old woman. she found her in the bathroom gagged with her wrists bound. her 40-year-old boyfriend surrendered shortly after a s.w.a.t team arrived. >> she did have a romantic relationship with this male. however we are getting information that she tried break off the relationship. >> the relationship was on the rocks, they were always arguing and fighting. >> he is a nice guy artist and liked antiques, gentle person. >> the woman is being evaluated at the hospital. police have not released the name of the suspect. >> city officials released the names of residents in southwest

without electricity. peco outage number is down to just over 8,000 customers. the majority in chester county at the height of the storm, more than 200,000 peco customers had lost electricity, so the that's down significantly. >> the weather looking better today, in a lot of ways. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows you all the rain this morning is off the coast. you might hear thunder rumble in off the water as thunderstorms pull away from you. as we look outside we have sky 6 there's the airport. looks like a dry morning if you're flying out of the philadelphia. 76 degrees currently in the city, you're dewpoint still up there at 68. so we're starting out the morning rather humid, but we expect the humidity to dip a little bit during the day. winds southwest at 3 miles per hour, they will turn around a little bit out of the northeast.

future tracker shows me between now and noon there's a chance of showers in the south jersey and southern delaware region, in particular. as we go through the rest of the afternoon it's mainly dry and most of our significant rain will be closer to the coast. there could be pop-up showers here or there, as we go through the evening hours. doesn't look all that bad on future tracker in terms of rain today. the best chance is in south jersey and delaware. 71 degrees in philadelphia. 81 by 2:00 p.m. we hit that high of 86 degrees before sliding back to 81. if you're down the shore or southern delaware the humidity might take longer before it starts to feel less humid. everybody is in the 80s today. the closer you get to the coast, the closer you get to 80 on the

nose. some of the models are putting in a little bit of a pop-up sprinkle or shower at times in the afternoon. it doesn't look like much, i wouldn't cancel plans for tomorrow or tomorrow night. clouds and sun today, 86 degrees, a spotty shower or thunderstorm possible. most of the action centered in south jersey and delaware, although something could pop in pennsylvania later on this evening. nice and warm, then, on friday, 87 degrees, again we're allowing for a slight chance of a a little bit of rain, most of the day is dry and it's generally nice. saturday, partly sunny, probably dry 87 degrees is the high there. that's the 6abc union game at ppl park at night and the phillies home, too, should be a good night for all of that. sunday high of 88 there's a couple of afternoon thunderstorms beginning to pop on sunday, monday, hot, 92 degrees, unsettled could be strong storms on monday afternoon and evening.
