"action news" about her efforts to fight off two younger intruders. >> police believe gunshots came from a car near the passyunk avenue bridge. they closed the bridge westbound to search for crews. it back open. a worker at a nearby refinery reported hearing gun shots at 5:00 a.m., when police arrived they found ten shell casings along the 3100 block of passyunk avenue, but no shooting victims. police are looking at surveillance cameras to see if they picked you mean the incident of the shooting. >> let's go to david murphy and matt pellman, hi guys. >> reporter: high we have breaks this morning as the early clouds are blocking the sunshine. we have clearing to the west. we are expecting clouds and sun and more sun the farther west

good news, passyunk avenue has reopened. they had the lanes blocked off for a little while because of the shooting investigation out there. all lanes open in east direction. no need to follow the detours that we talked about a bit go. there's the bridge open the schuylkill expressway as you head toward the airport. let's go to i-95 southbound buildings traffic, by allegheny heading toward girard and eventually center city. we're starting to tap the brakes, but we're not jammed at this point. we're watching a handful of problems like a couple of water main breaks. there's one in montgomery county red rambler drive at wisteria lane. portions of merion avenue and norma road is closed. we have down poles in chalfonte

closing lime kiln. use bristol instead. another one in newtown is closing eagle road. winslow township, camden county, pump branch road blocking the right lane by the wawa. >> a crash in new castle county delaware involving a car and pick up truck left one man dead and injured another. the action cam was at the scene at marsh road and washington street in brandywine hundred. the pick up went out of control and landed on the roof. the driver was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. the car slammed into the tree. that driver is in the hospital in stable condition. police are trying to determine what caused the accident. police in berks county say a horrific case of child ray abuse has left a baby in a coma

[laughter] >> reporter: they punched her a second time and then she fell to her knees and blacked out. >> i'm sore, i'm shocked that it happened to me, because i didn't ever think this would happen to me. >> reporter: the men fled through the back door with a tv stuffed in a suitcase. she is thankful to be alive and trying to keep in good spirits. >> i'm trying to not to be down, depressed, i'm happy about

>> some homeowners in camden say another property owner is causing their windows to crack and the their walls to buckle. neighbors say the property owner is doing illegal construction work and that work has caused their homes to shift. a spokesperson for the city told "action news" the construction and buildings bureau has launched an investigation. he is required to higher an engineer to determine what repairs are needed for his

camden county, the downed pole over here, white horse pipe eastbound punch branch road is out of there. >> police are investigating a mysterious shooting along the passyunk avenue bridge in south philadelphia. a refinery worker nearby reported the gunshots at 5:00 a.m. police found ten shell casings along the westbound lanes, but didn't find any shooting victims. investigators are checking surveillance cameras to see if they picked up images of the shootings. chilling details about the texas gunman killing spree and the lone survivor who stopped him from killing again. this is the surveillance video of killer who surrendered to police. he has been identified as ronald lee haskill. his 515-year-old daughter was shot in the head she survived

given to her by her deceased husband. the action cam was on the 100 block of east 22nd street in wilmington, delaware. a 27-year-old man was shot several times and pronounced at the hospital. police are trying to determine a motive. philadelphia police say they will soon charge a man withholding his live-in girlfriend hostage for a day and raping her. only "action news" was on the 100 block of queen lane in germantown when officers freed the 27-year-old woman. investigator say they found her in the bathroom gagged with her wrists bound. her 40-year-old boyfriend handcuffed in the police van surrendered after the s.w.a.t team arrived. >> she did have a row romantic relationship with the male. however we are getting information that she tried break it off. >> their relationship was

are forming to the south of philadelphia. it is down the shore. there's the closeup view. we have several recent lightning strikes, a lot of this is back in the eastern shore of maryland. i wouldn't be surprised to hear a rumble of thunder in cape may at ken central delaware. this is creeping up the coast. notice how there's a second cell that's formed in northern cape may county. unstable down south and thunderstorms in the process of forming now. as we look outside we have a mix of clouds and sun, up north of the storm activity we're looking decent. 74 degrees, the dewpoint has nudged down from 68 to 67678 that's a good un-- 67, that's a good sign. winds are light at 3 miles per hour. here's future tracker 6, again, most of our action during the day is down south. i don't know that it's raining down there all day, but a good

house road between jacksonville and hat borough road. bristol is the way to go inside. we have milling and paving work in bucks county along 413 and point pleasant pike watch out for restrictions starting at 9:00 a.m. you want to use 413 instead of eagle road through newtown, bucks county. eagle is closed because of another downed pole. meanwhile, looking at the big picture shows our early morning delays are popping up for sure on the schuylkill expressway westbound side unlucky 13 miles per hour as you travel past city avenue. passyunk avenue bridge reopened after that earlier police activity. you see speeds in the 20 on i-95. slow going southbound from ben franklin bridge to girard. >> a deer attacked a woman in a western pennsylvania parking lot. she ran into the animal when she left the her win williams store

she snapped the picture of the deer foaming at the mouth. two men at a nearby fast food restaurant went over to help her. wildlife officials say the deer tested positive for rabies. the man of a missing delaware woman is asking for the public's help in locating her. investigators have announced no new leads in the case. trainer has been missing since june 30th. police are investigating her disappearance as a possible abduction. >> a woman and her boyfriend are charged with hit-and-run accident in delaware county that left a bicyclist severely injured. mccrae struck the bicyclist and
