why, worse of the system is moving in our direction. sunday night i'm walter perez with sarah bloomquist. big story on "action news" is a strong line of thunderstorms coming our way. >> many areas will see rain and continuing right in the start of the workweek. meteorologist melissa magee is live at the big board with the latest from double scan radar, melissa. >> sarah, things were relatively quiet throughout the day as we were tracking those storms across interior section oz have the northeast and they are starting to make progress to the south and east. we can see that on storm six live, double scan radar. precipitation is north and west of the i-95 corridor but inching closer at this 11:00 o'clock hour. severe thunderstorm warning to go tell but the. it stays up until 11:45 south and west of philadelphia drexel hill included in that severe thunderstorm warning down to chester, wilmington and bear, and newark, delaware. as we move further to the south where we're still tracking threat of severe weather with the severe thunderstorm warning posted for southern areas of new castle county, even as we move

your apple and android devices. to you to breaking news out of montgomery county, dozens of people have been asked to leave their homes because of some sort of a mysterious odor. it was first reported around 7:15 tonight. here on the 4200 block of gorsky lane in skippack township. however, officials still are not exactly clear what they are dealing w "action news" reporter annie mccormack has been on the scene all night and has latest from officials now. >> we had readings, high reading of hydrogen cyanide and as we started to check the houses next to it, and next to it, we have readings, in about a hundred or so houses in the development. >> reporter: what is exactly it is remains a in mystery. >> we actually don't think it is hydrogen cyanide we think it is another chemical masking the the meters, the hazmat team is here to go testing. >> reporter: residents including a pregnant woman and kids waited near emergency vehicles as crews check homes, fire officials say hazmat crews tested levels inside of homes, after residents

reported an odor possibly of gas. matt logan's wife made the call to 911. >> i told her to get the kids out and get kids out and call 191 and they evacuated the whole road rorrer. >> reporter: their home had readings from the basement to the top floor. so did many other homes in the development. logan's wife and kids drove themselves to the hospital to get tested as a precaution and were released. officials urged their neighbors to do the same. around 9:00 p.m. buses came to assist in evacuation toss skippack elementary school, many resident decided to wait outside of their homes. >> they kept levels, and they said we had a one point something. our neighbor had three-point something. so, they told us, open our windows and evacuate and stay outside. >> reporter: at this hour they have expanded perimeter they are looking the at. originally a larger pipeline from texas eastern transmission was thought to be a possible source, but that has been ruled out. and, now as for hydrogen cyanide they tell us it can be fatal but not at levels they

are seeing here tonight. for now reporting from skippack township, annie mccormack for channel six "action news". crash with the paratransit bus sent five people to the hospital today in north philadelphia action cam was on the scene there this afternoon as a driver was arrested for dui after crashing, into that septa paratransit bus. the collision happened at the the intersection of sixth and cambria streets when this car ran a red light. impact flipped the bus which clipped a pole that felon top of the pedestrian. neighbors rushed to help three passengers and a driver inside of the bus. >> a lady had lacerations to the forehead, cross the top of her head. she was bleeding pretty profusely there were two old wore man that were also bleeding, but the injuries didn't seem life threatening. >> passengers, pedestrian and the bus driver were all hospitalized, but officials tell us that they are all expect to be okay. meantime at our delaware news room search continues for the driver who struck a man in new port earlier this morning. authorities say that the 49

year-old victim was hit by a car as he stood on west new port pike, in harding avenue. the driver kept on going. victim was flown to christiana hospital where he remains in critical condition. investigators are working on a description of the car involved. authorities in jersey city say that the man who murdered a rookie police officer this morning, did it to become famous. investigators say 27 year-old lawrence campbell snatched a gun from an armed security guard at walgreens some one called 911 to report a robbery in progress. the officer melvin santiago and his partner responded to the scene. jersey city's mayor says campbell was not there to rob anyone, he was there to kill. >> lawrence campbell approached a vehicle that was in the parking lot at the the walgreens, pol guyed for his conduct inside the walgreens and told that witness that to watch the the news, he would be famous. >> authorities say that campbell shot santiago at point blank range, after that,

officers shot and killed campbell. he was also wanted for a previous homicide. it is work night like any other at trump plaza hotel and casino but come tomorrow 1,000 employees will be looking for a new job. this closure is just the latest blow to atlantic city's casino industry. kenneth moton now has more. >> reporter: lights are still on at trump plaza hotel and casino but hundreds of workers are preparing for a stone called reality monday morning. pink slips are on the way, delivering another blow to atlantic city. >> i am an employee of a casino, so i understand as far as, putting time in, i have been here 20 years and i have seen a lot of changes. >> reporter: union for casino workers say trump is expected to notify more than 1,000 employees that the doors will close honor around september 16th. the atlantic club closed in january, putting 1700 people out of work. revel is filing for bankruptcy again and it will close september 1st, if there is no buyer. 3100 plus jobs are on the

action radar we have had a pretty strong cold front, that has been stretched out from new england down across areas in pennsylvania, back through the ohio valley. thinks the the first frontal boundary that is expected to move through. it will continue to do so for the rest of tonight but there is a reenforcing shot of a secondary cold front across the lower great lakes and that is poised to move in our direction as we get into monday afternoon. future tracker six has you covered for the rest of the overnight hours. we are tracking showers, mainly across south jersey. as we wake up tomorrow morning at 6:00 in the morning, most locations will be dry with the exception of atlantic city and wildwood, but as things refire you have that building heat and humidity and another frontal boundary on the move. 3:00 in the afternoon these showers and storms will be popping autopsy cross much of the region which why is the storm prediction center has placed news that slight risk of finding severe weather. we will talk about the headlines, earlier this week. it is staying unsettled on monday as we are calling for gusty winds, and the possibility of hail, and flash flooding is another
