a california bank robbery ended with three people dead including a woman taken hostage, the person forced a woman and two other people into their vehicle and led police on a chase through stockton exchanging gun fire the whole way. two hostages were thrown before the tires were thrown out. the third hostage was used as a human shield and killed. the survivor suspect will face charges when released from the hospital. the plane crash in the ukraine, threw off investors. do you is down 100 points and microsoft announced the biggest layoff in company history, that means 18,000 people will be out of a job. that represents 14% of their staff, they are trying to cut

vitarelli. >> reporter: one after leaving amsterdam, malaysian airlines says that flight 17 disappeared over the air space over eastern ukraine, 30 miles from the russian border, moments ago a government official told abc news that the u.s. believes that a complex surface to air missile brought down the jet at cruising altitude. it remains unclear if the missile was fired from inside ukrainian territory or russian territory. and there are questions on who fired it. >> a burning inferno of molten metal. the scene is horrific and remains scattered across a wide area in the eastern ukraine village, and 280 passengers and 15 crew members were on board. the plane appears to have broken up on impact.
