block of north spangler street early yesterday morning, and sources tell "action news" that it appears that gladys was suffocated. they think roofus suffered a heart attack while coming to her aid. family and friend of a murdered 23 year-old woman held a memorial service for her tonight. laura araujo was remembered at her church tabernacle of the holy spirit in frankford. police say araujo was beaten, strangled and her body stuffed in the duffle bag. 22-year old jeremiah jackson has been arrested and charged with murder and being held without bail. philadelphia police are looking for a robber who assaulted an employee at a lawn dale business late this afternoon. the incident happened at stewart's stamps and stuff in the 7200 block of rising sun avenue. police say that the suspect pistol whipped a 60 year-old employee before running off with at least two firearms. the victim is at einstein medical center in stable

condition. within person was taken to the hospital, after a stabbing tonight in bridgeport, montgomery county. police were called to the 800 block of dekalb street at 5:00 o'clock. they found one victim bleeding from the chest, police have not released the condition, they say that this appears to be a domestic dispute, no charges have have yet to be filed. tonight the coastguard suspended its search for missing swimmer off the coast of ocean county. the the 25 year-old man, went missing, at island state beach park at noon today. the man from france was reportedly swimming in the ocean for the first time. officials say they also had a rescue four other swimmers from the the rough waters today. the single mother who had lunch with president obama stopped by our studios today. janet benjamin of newark, delaware wrote to obama over a year ago. she detailed her struggles as a single mother working full-time and going to school full-time. she lives paycheck to paycheck

2,000 fire fighter battling blaze's cross the state of washington. wild fire racing through rural section in the northern part of the state has destroyed 200 homes, 650 residents' vac waited a head of the approaching flames, multiple fires have now burned, 260 square miles. next the the story of a dog that has endured and survived a brutal attack by a human. now officials are hoping she can find a home with people who will love her. can find justice for lovey. >> reporter: if caught the person responsible for this could face animal cruelty charges, as for lovey her health, continues to improve as workers here at delco spca are caring for her. they say their goal, it is to get her 100 percent so that she can be placed up for adoption and put with the loving family. in the delaware county spca, sharrie williams for channel six "action news". police in wilmington are trying to track down vandals who damage a cemetery. the suspects knocked overdosens of tomb stones and monuments in the historic river view cemetery. cemetery was founded almost 150 years ago, and it had fallen into disrepair but six years ago a group of volunteers spent thousands of hours restoring it. now they are looking at a $25,000 repair bill. get arrested in evesham, new jersey and it will likely be recorded. the department has added to its arsenal of crime fighting tools.
