was shot down. his grandfather was visiting his sister in new jersey where quinn lived as a child. he tried to hold back tears when he talked about the tragedy. >> it's so senseless what happened. you realize it's always fate you cannot escape. pure fate. quinn had dual dutch american citizenship. he was just 19 years old. emotions ran high at a rally held on the benjamin franklin parkway. ukrainian americans mourned the victims and condemned those responsible for shooting down the blame. they put the blame on one person, vladimir putin. dann cuellar has more. >> listener to us, take your bloody hands off ukraine. they gathered at 19th and parkway under a large banner

scattered across atlantic city boulevard in ocean county. one police vehicle had serious back end damage the other slammed into a street sign. firefighters had to pull one of the officers from his cruiser, two other people were hurt, there's no word on any of the victims' condition or who caused the crash. new jersey state police are involving a crash involving a fire truck it happened on 676 it was responding to a call when it collided with the car, four people inside the vehicle had minor injuries. no firefighters were hurt. the truck had its warning light and siren on at the time of the accident. a fast-moving fire killed two women in atlantic city. a two-alarm blaze started last night in the apartment building on providence avenue. one woman said as she picked up the phone to call for help, the

fire was out of control. >> i saw the flames, i called 911 i picked up the phone, it was out of control. it went too quickly. >> the victims are a woman believed to be in her 20s and an orderly woman. the fire stretched from the basement to the roof. the cause is under investigation. family and friends of a murdered 23-year-old woman held a memorial service for her, police say arjaro was beaten and her body was stuffed in a duffle bag. jeremiah jackson is charged with her murder and is being held without bail. the coast guard has suspended the search for a missing swimmer. he was reportedly swimming in the ocean for the first time.

officials say they had to rescue four other swimmers from the rough waters yesterday. philadelphia police are looking for a robber who assaulted and employee at a lawndale business. it happened in the 7200 block of rising sun avenue yesterday afternoon. police say the suspect pistol whipped a 60-year-old employee before running off with two firearms, the employee is at albert einstein hospital in stable condition. suspects knocked over tombstones and monuments at the historic river view cemetary. 6 years ago a group of volunteers spent thousands of hours restoring it, now they are looking at an estimated $25,000 in repairs. there's much more to come on "action news" saturday morning. it's being billed always the

july standards, it will be comfortable and temperatures will be below average, you'll have to deal with shades of gray from time to time. 71 degrees back in philadelphia. look at the dewpoint. that's fantastic, considering we're all the way up into the mid to low 70s. now we're down in the 50s, wind are calm, pressure reading 30.22 inches. 71 in philadelphia. 63 in trenton. 65 in allentown. they are in the 50s in the poconos. 57. ville -- millville, 64. wilmington, is 1 degrees milder than yesterday at this time. the reason is because of the high clouds that are moving in at 15 to 20,000 feet. this traps all the heat that the sun provided yesterday close to the ground, that's why the air is milder this morning. but it will act just the opposite later this afternoon, it will prevent the sun from heating things up and,

therefore, temperature will be cooler than average. we'll benefit later on. it should be a nice, comfortable day. the wider view shows we're dealing with two systems. one pushing through the spine of the appalachians. that's passing by to the north. we'll not have to deal with that. this system developing off the coast of the carolinas, that will work its way north out to sea. both will provide cloud cover today, tonight abbey for the first part of tomorrow, but all the moisture should steer clear of the delaware valley. the lone exception would be maybe a spotty shower first thing tomorrow morning on the beach from atlantic city to wildwood. if you do see that shower it would be very early tomorrow morning, it would be very light and it wouldn't last long. the surface maps act like this. high pressure in control, all the heat out hear across the atlantic. we won't see any of that. as we head into sunday, the frontal system is close by, we're talking about cloud cover out there.

more sunshine than what you see today. monday, this is when we start to warm things up, comfortable in the humidity department, although the humidity may creep up just a little bit. it's tuesday and wednesday, where these warm front punch through, the heat returns and the humidity returns and there's nuisance pop up heavy showers and thunderstorms return as well. the poconos, 75 degrees, that's beautiful for july, clouds and sun for sunday, 75 as well. the jersey shore ocean temperatures are starting to rebound a little bit. it's getting a little bit milder. 67. delaware bay, 79 that's unbelievable. clouds and sun, uv index moderate. clouds and sun, sunday, 77 degrees, in philadelphia, 82 mostly cloudy, but pleasant, we'll take that. low humidity, winds out of the east 5 to 10. temperatures are hanging out most of the time in the upper 70s. by 3:00 p.m. there's our high of 82 degrees.

unrestricted access to the crash sight. more than 2 dozen officials arrived yesterday, but rebels reportedly only allowed them to conduct a superficial inspection. the u.n. said the missile likely to bring down the jet was fired from pro russian territory. the rebels are trained and supported by russia and the separatists initially thought they shot down a military transport before they realized it was a jetliner. in russia, it was denied that russia could be behind the attack. president obama implied that russia bears responsibility for the tragedy. >> a group of separatists can't shoot down military transport planes or claim they shoot down

been displaced by a fire that spread from an adjoining home. this is the scene of 3300 block of amber street in the port richmond neighborhood. firefighters made quick work of the flames in a vacant home, but not before it jumped to the home next-door. one mosque leader is in custody an another on the run after they try to to cut off a man's hand with a machete. two mosque leaders approached the victim after mourning prayer services and accused him of stealing jars of money. police say the men dragged the victim to the back of the mosque and attempted to cut off his hand with a two foot machete. the victim was severely consult and taken to the hospital. merv mitchell was arrested and

charged. police are looking for the other mosque leader. police are dealing with a case of double murder in strawberry mansion. detectives are questioning two persons of interest in the death of rufous and gladys perry. they were found dead in their home on north spangler street. i appears gladys suffocated and it appears her husband suffered a heart attack while trying to hurt her. a dog in delaware county survived a brutal attack, and officials are hoping she can find a loving home. wearing a pretty pretty pre this pitbull is recovering. the young dog was stabbed repeatedly with a sharp object possibly a knife. these pictures tell the story. >> deep lacerations all over
