weekends in a row of dry weather. it will be more humid as we move into sunday, there will be cloud cover this weekend, most of us should stay dry. 72 degrees presently in philadelphia. low humidity levels. wilmington, 69. millville, 66. sea isle city, 66. poconos 60 degrees, actually dropped into the upper 50s -- upper 40s, low 50s. it was chilly couple of days ago. trenton, 64, reading 65. lancaster, 65. we have moisture to the west moving toward the north away from the delaware valley. we'll pick up the cloud cover, the sun should shine through a lot of high, thin clouds, for the most part we're looking at a mostly cloudy day. we'll see a high of 82 which is well below the average for this time of year, it will not be as

bright as some of you may like to see for the weekend. we're dealing with a lot of the weekend clouds, this is typically we're moving into the hottest portion of the year around the delaware valley. starting monday, right through the latter half of the month of july, that is typically the hottest part of the year for us, and right on cue it will turn hotter with thunderstorms developing, you know the routine. some of the storms could produce big gusting wind and drenching downpours. when i step back inside i'll talk about the shore and the poconos and the upcoming weekend and focus on the storms in the seven-day forecast. eva? >> the big story this saturday morning is the latest into the investigation into the downed malaysia airline passenger jet. this morning world leaders are calling on prosian reb crashe tu

talked about the tragedy. >> it's so senseless, you realize it is fate you cannot escape. pure fate. >> reporter: quinn had dual dutch/american citizenship. he was just 19 years old. emotions ran high at a rally held on the benjamin franklin parkway last night. ukraine americans mourned the victims and condemned those responsible for shooting down the plane and they put the blame solely on one person, vladimir putin. dann cuellar has more. >> russia, listener to us, take your -- listen to us, take your bloody hands off ukraine. >> reporter: they gathered behind a large banner which read stopped putin's terror. they held posters. >> putin is behind this insane scenario with the downing of the

malaysian airplane. our hearts go out to the all the in the -- innocent victims. >> reporter: while there's no evidence directly linking putin and the russian government to the tragedy, they want the world and the u.s. to take action. >> we hope our senators and congressmen and president obama will take firm stems -- steps to punish russia. the. >> they should send military to ukraine to train them. >> reporter: some lit candle for the victims of the mh flight 17. the archdiocese of philadelphia, they offered prayers not just for the victims, but a sense of decency for those responsible for such evil. >> saddens me very much, as we pray we pray for the victims and we pray for their conversion

some sensibility and appreciation of life. >> reporter: so in the wake of the unspeakable loss, the fast-moving developments are being closely monitored by ukrainians here. they believe the world is being drawn into the conflict with russia and they hope the world takes action. along the parkway in center city, dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> the coverage of the crash of malaysia airlines flight continues on the 6abc app. we'll alert you to the new developments as the story unfolds. you can download the app for free for your apple and android device. a nasty wreck in new jersey sends four people to the hospital including two police officers. the action cam found two advance and patrol cars scattered across atlantic boulevard in ocean county. firefighters had to pull one of the officers from the cruiser.

two other people were hurt, there's no word on any of the victims' conditions or who caused the crash. new jersey state police are investigating a crash involving a fire truck it happened on route 676 near the morgan boulevard exit. the ladder truck was responding to a call when it collided with the car. no firefighters were hurt. the truck had it's warning lights and siren on at the time of the accident. a fast-moving fire kills two women in atlantic city. the two-alarm blaze started last night at an apartment building on preserve dense avenue. one nader -- providence avenue. one neighbor said as she picked up the phone, the fire went out of the control. >> twenty too quickly. >> one woman is believed to be in her 20s and the other

orderly. firefighters say the fire stretched from the buildings' basement to the roof. the cause is under investigation. friends and family of a murdered 23-year-old woman was remembered at her church, the tabernacle of the holy spirit. plils say she was beaten and -- police say she was beaten and strangled and her body stuffed into a duffle bag. thousands of damage was caused at the historic river view cemetary. that cemetary was founded almost 150 years ago. it fell into disrepair. 6 years ago a group of volunteers spent thousands of hours restoring it. now they are looking at an estimated $25,000 in reprayers. the phillies let a lead on

>> firefighters in western pennsylvania pulled out all the stops to save a boy who got stuck inside a steel beam on a bridge. 20 different agencies worked for two hours to free the 14-year-old from the ben franklin bridge bridge. he is not out of the woods yet, the teen's father said he plans to ground his son for pulling this stunt. might be in a little trouble. >> reporter: just a little bit. it appears i missed quite a bit

>> reporter: welcome back, everyone, 7:24 saturday morning, you're looking at satellite and radar, we have a lot of cloud cover across the mid atlantic this morning. a couple of areas of moisture one to the west another one starting to develop to the south. now, if everything goes according to plan if the forecast models are suggesting, all this will miss us. this low right here should push off to the northeast. there could be a spritz or sprinkle on the beach, but i would say 95% of this steers clear and pushes out to sea. this system right here will push to the north and the east and move away from the region. the outer fringes getting as far east as that. we avoid the moisture, but we'll see clouds today and at least tomorrow morning before the skies brighten tomorrow morning.

humid again. the weekend looks good, depending on howfl about the clouds. we'll see clouds out there today. temperatures will be fantastic for july standards. 82 degrees, the normal is 87. 70 degrees in ship bottom. if you're heading to the beaches you'll see a lot of cloud cover down there, as well. beach haven, 70 degrees, windy out of the east, northwest at 5 miles per hour. we're expecting waivings of 3 to 4 feet later this afternoon. if you're doing boating it becomes shoppy s.a.t day wears on. -- choppy as the day wears on. with the onshore wind developing that will keep temperatures on the sand in the 70s today. now, i think this model is a little bit too chilly. i don't think wildwood will be 72 degrees by 3:00 p.m. but you'll be around 74, or 75. it will be a cooler day than

investigators to conduct a partial and superficial inspection. meantime the u.n. reiterated that the missile to bring down the jet was likely fired from pro russian separatists. samantha powers said the rebels are trained by russia. they bragged about shooting down a military transport before they realized it was a passenger jet liner. president obama implied russia bears responsibility for the tragedy. >> group of separatists can't shoot down military transmit planes or they claim shoot down fighter jets without sophisticate the equipment and sophisticated training and that is coming from russia. >> 298 people were killed when the missile brought down the

kind of put a lid on the oppressive heat and humidity we saw last weekend. it comes right back as we move into next week. the jet stream starts to bulge and pushes into canada the muggies return and we could have our third heat wave of the year starting with tuesday with highs in the 90s, kutztown, 80 degrees, lancaster, 80 degrees, reading, 82. lots of high clouds, low humidity levels. glassboro, 82. dover, 778. there will be sunshine, but it's filtered, lots of high clouds. and right there on the sand it will become breezy as the day wears on. ocean temperature, 67 degrees for the beaches. although the delaware bay the water temperature is 79 degrees, it's like bath water. jersey shore, clouds and sun, 76 degrees today. maybe up an degree tomorrow, 77, clouds giving way to sunshine for sunday. winds out of the east at 10 to 20 miles per hour.
