from the scene. chris sowers is here with a look at the accuweather forecast. better than yesterday. >> reporter: better than yesterday, that's all that matters, unless your down the jeer shore, that's worse than yesterday. but you're clearing down there, so good news there. as we look live on sky 6 take a look at the camden waterfront. you can see the skies beginning to brighten up a little bit now. we're seeing most of thely cloudy conditions, we're improving as the moisture begins to pull away. here's what's left of the heavier downpours we saw earlier this morning from the beaches from wildwood to seaside heights, a lot of moisture, again, pulling away. the heavier cells indicated by the yellow also and oranges are out to sea at this point. here's some of the downpours we saw. some of it was quite impressive from atlantic city to brigantine northward through beach haven. beach haven an inch same thing for surf city. not much of the viewing area

picked up the downpours and shower activity, but those of you that did, it came down at a pretty good clip. forecast for today, whatever shower activity you're seeing on the beaches that will start to clear and skies will brighten up. 72 degrees by 9:00 a.m., lunchtime, 78. by 3:00 p.m. there's the anticipated high of 42. at thisat that point we'll see a combination of sun and clouds and 6:00 p.m., upper 70s. looks better than yesterday, not as hot and not nearly as humid and now it looks like only one day of heavier thunderstorms. an improvement in the seven-day forecast. i'll have the details when i come back in just a bit. >> the big story on "action news" this sunday morning, new information in the crash of the downed malaysia airline also flight in eastern ukraine. rebel separatists have recovered the black boxes and say they will hand them over to the international civil aviation.

this news comes after armed rebels removed the bodies from the crash site and driving away. russian news reports that the bodies were taken to a russian controlled city. >> reporter: outside the airport where flight 17 departed a makeshift memorial for the nearly 300 victims. the families anxiously awaiting any news about their loved one remains have been located. the growing chorus of voices around the world demanding that russia and the pro russian rebels that control the site participate with the investigation. >> my fear they will say they will help, but on the ground, interference with the site, the investigators and the treatment of bodies will continue. >> reporter: le dump prime

camden county, overnight in east belmawr. it housed a gym called sleek and slernld. residents escaped without injuries. the red cross is assisting them. police have taken the driver into custody. officials still need to inspect the buildings. in center city be, a biker lost control of his motorcycle and hit a car at broad and walnut at 2:30. the impact of the crash sent the motorcycle careening on to the sidewalk and throwing him on to the road. >> a 4-year-old boy remains hospitalized at children's hospital after he fell from a second floor window. it happened on the 5400 block of malcom street in southwest philadelphia. the little boy was rushed to chop in critical condition with a number of head injuries. investwiig thet theinsa t ll cared for. >> the family is so quiet they take care of children, she

always walking them. chef a lot of help it's a quiet humble family. >> police continue to investigate what led to the boy falling out of that window. >> a northwestern pennsylvania boy is beginning to bounce back after he was found bruised and nearly starved to death. the boy weighed 25 pounds and look like a skeleton when he was removed from the home in greeneville. the child was being home schooled and allowed outside on the back porch where he would eat bugs. one doctor described the boy's condition as the worst case of medical neglect she had ever seen. >> punish her like that and see what it's like. he is a child, you don't punish them that way. there's no excuse to it, none at all. i hope god in heaven hears and puts her away forever. >> three other children in the

home were removed. the mother and grandparents were charged with assault and false imprisonment and other offenses. the boy is in pretty quicktive custody and gained 20 pounds since being removed on june 6th. the university of pittsburgh has the highest instate tuition for is raising again. it will go up 4%. that's much less than temple university which announced a 10% hike last week. pit and temple say cuts in state aid are driving the tuition hike. still they have a record-number of applicants for the 3900 openings in the freshman class. >> a relic of the recently canonized of pope john paul ii is on display. it's on display between masses at the cathedral. st. john paul ii died in 2005

the garden state parkway is right here, i'll draw a line just like that. it's from atlantic city through seaside heights and point pleasant beach in belmawr. we have that one little area east of the atlantic city airport that continues to pick up the rain. some of it is coming down heavily. you can see it indicated by the shades of yellow and orange. brigantine picking up a heavier downpour. beach haven abbey surf city heavy -- and surf city picking up heavy rain. 72 in philadelphia. the humidity came up a little bit. millville, 72. boardwalk in atlantic city, a sticky 70 degrees. dover, 72, be it's humid down here. north and west of the city, the dewpoints haven't come up just yet. it feels pretty refreshing. this storm system continues to

pull away on the back edge of this. we're seeing cloud cover across the delaware valley. look what's going on south and west. we get into the mason dixon line, the appalachians, everything is starting to clear out here, we're forecasting a mostly cloudy day and sunny breaks. surface maps looks like, are as that low departs this high will take over, it will keep the humidity fairly comfortable. it will be more sticky than yesterday. when you look at the bigger picture, especially this time of year, it's not too bad. we are expecting sunshine from time to time. monday we'll have more sunshine. it's tuesday when these warm fronts punch through that will open the door to another round of heat and humidity, although not as hot and humid as what it appeared to be yesterday. so there's good news there. future tracker 6 the idea is for these clouds to wisk away and

condition at chop. police say the investigation into what happened continues this morning, no names have been released. reporting at chop university city kenneth moten channel 6 "action news." >> philadelphia police are looking for the man who gunned down a man in the west oak lane section of the city. the action cam was at the scene a little after midnight, the 2100 block of spencer street. when pliz -- arrived the victim was lying in the street. he was pronounced at the hospital. >> police are looking for a driver who hit a pedestrian and took off. it happened at high and north 27th street. the victim was taken to cooper university medical center with serious injuries. investigators are trying to put together a vehicle description. police are investigating a crash in west philadelphia that seriously injured a man. it happened around 10:00 at 47th and cedar avenue. a truck and motorcycle collided.

the motorcyclist was taken to university of pennsylvania hospital with critical injuries. the investigation is on going. >> five people were hurt when a hot air balloon hit power lines and exploded. it was attempting to land in quintin, massachusetts. the balloon crashed into the power lines causing two large explosion, five people suffered burns and 600 people lost power because of the crash. >> ted cruz said the way to solve the crisis on southern border is to stop giving amnesty. the would you also said those crossing into -- the white house said those crossing into the u.s. won't qualify. cruz tells many kids think they will get am amnesty.
