later. i'm alicia vitarelli. in the news, more deadly violence in gaza as secretary of state john kerry heads cairo. and a driver of an s.u.v. loses control and slams into a pole in chester county. the big story is still developing, the search for a boater missing in the atlantic ocean. members of the coast guard returned to keep this morning to look for 45 year old andrew bittle. a search began last night after a friend swam to shore after an accident with their boat in the water. and we have the latest on the search efforts. >> the search continues and the coast guard is here as well as the state police. out behind me here is a small 23-foot state police vessel, one of two involved in the search at this point. it has been 12 hours now, so the

presufferings -- presuming that it is a recovery effort. as the sun came up they continued to find the operator of a pontoon boat, both were thrown about 11:30 last night. it struck one of the buoys and the impact had them end up in the water and the boat continued until it hit a jetty. >> they hit this buoy and i was about to go to bed and i live across the street and i heard a big thud. then i heard "help, help" screaming and i knew that serviit was somebody in the water. and he was screaming the friend's name. i hope i get it ride, it was a little traumatic, it was like andy, andy. >> missing is 45 year old andrew

bittle. it does not have an address for the man. this area known for crossshethe. intensively it is tricky with the currents because you have the ocean coming from my right, the bay on the left. it's very difficult to navigate. >> we are told by two sources that the missing man is associated with a local marine i can't here in the area of the shore. he should be very familiar with the waters we are told, although at this point they still have not recovered a body or located the missing man at this point. the search continues and the state police are saying they intend to bring in sonar to continue the search under water. live in longport, john rawlins channel 6 "action news." chopper 6 hd over another developing story in chester county. an s.u.v. ran off the road and snapped a pole just before

11:00. part of the pole came down on the vehicle here on the 1000 block of wilmington pike. and there is no word on the condition of the driver who may have been trapped in the vehicle. avoid the 1000 block of willington pike this afternoon as police continue the investigation. philadelphia police successfully dealt with an armed man who barricaded himself inside of a vehicle in the fishtown section. near the intersection of sepviva and berks street at 8:45 a.m. the police were able to resolve the situation with one gunshot fired in less than a half-hour no one was hurt. that man was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation. turning to our weather, this afternoon we'll get to enjoy at least one more day of all of this gorgeous sunshine that's kind of left over from the weekend. looking at cape may, a beautiful day to hit the beach if you are lucky enough to be there this

monday. there are changes ahead in the accuweather forecast. with the details we head to david murphy joining us outside with a look ahead in all of the sunshine. >> you are right, pretty nice afternoon building across the region. if you are into summertime weather look at the satellite. we have a morning full of sunshine across the region. now you see a little cloud cover to the west and i can see some of that filtering through as the afternoon goes on. i don't think we will get much worse than partly sunny skies going through the rest of the day. enough sun to certainly remind you to keep the sunscreen handy. the u.v. index high. if you are at the pool, beach or walking around outside, it is important to lather up with the sunscreen. and 82 degrees now in philadelphia. most of the area in the 70s, but most suburbs in the 80s much too much longer. the dewpoint, we will talk about that quickly. any time we have a dewpoint over 60 that's what we start to call humid air. some spots not feeling it but
