encounter. >> good morning out there, it is 4:30 on this friday, i'm tamala edwards with eva pilgrim. matt is off. first up let's find out about a gorgeous weekend coming our way from accuweather and head over to david murphy. today will be no problems weather wise day. we have cloud cover and rain overnight missing the area for the most part and moving away from us and nothing but high pressure on the way today.way we have a flow out of the northwest that's cooling us down and dropped the humidity. 66 degrees in philadelphia. 61 in wilmington. and we've dipped into the 50s in a couple of spots like allentown, reading and lancaster. 63 in trenton and 67 in sea isle city. we expect plenty of sunshine up over the horizon between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00. the temperatures holding in the upper 60s until 8:00 a.m.

mainly clear and comfortable this morning. 71 degrees by 9:00 a.m., 79 by noon, this afternoon's high around 3:00 will be 84. with low humidity it's a gorgeous day on tap and we're still holding on to the low 80s by 6:00 p.m. if you have plans to be out on the town this evening, things are looking good. we have chance in the weekend forecast. there could thunderstorms popping at times, tam i'll have details on that coming up. >> we're following a breaking story from south jersey. police are searching for a killer after a pizza delivery man found a woman's body on the side of the road. the discovery was made in winslow township, camden county. the action cam was at a second scene at a nearby home. police are searching for a known suspect who took off in the victim's car. we'll stay on top of this story and bring you details as they come in.

we're getting more details on the shooting inside fitzgerald mercy hospital. investigators are trying to learn what dead up to the shooting. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live in darby with the very latest, good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, we're starting to learn more built gunman, "action news" spoke to his ex-wife. he described an abusive relationship where he threatened to kill her if she tried to leave. she said he is violent and unpredictable and belongs in jail for good. >> he was very controlling and very violent. >> reporter: words from the former wife of richard plotts who asked that we not use her name. a massive response to mercy wellness center.

plotts shot and killed hunt, the doctor pulled his own gun and exchanged gunfire. dr. sillerman was grazed in the head and plotts was shot three times. >> he was physically abusive and mentally abusive, and from the many times he was in and out of jail i never saw him change from that, so i'm not surprised. >> investigators say it's possible that plotts may have issues with the doctor over his treatment plan. >> i feel very, very bad that i know him and he brought harm to somebody and their family. >> plotts underwent surgery at the hospital of the university of pennsylvania. coming up in the next half-hour hear from investigators and people who were there at the scene. katherinekatherine scott channe6 "action news." >> for the latest on the

tuesday, wednesday and thursday, refreshing weather on the way again. three taxes workers are nursing hundreds of stings from an african hone bee attack. one of the men was stung at least a thousand times. three firefighters called to the scene were taken to the hospital to be checked out for bee stings. a beekeeper said the bees came from the hive the size of a basketball and said it could hold 50,000 bees. an alleged home intruder is dead and authorities are deciding if the 80-year-old homeowner should be charged in the case. the dead suspect andrea miller pleaded for his life. the homeowner said not to shoot her because she was unarmed. miller and the accomplice beat up the homeowner despite a broken collarbone he fought
