accuweather seven-day forecast. i like that the cooloff is strategically planned for the week. >> reporter: so you can get you're beach time in. let's go to sky 6, look this gorgeous shot, the sun rising over the platt bridge. there's a band of rain pushing through central pennsylvania this morning, some of that could survive the journey over the mountains and push into the far western suburbs in the next couple of hours. outside of that, most of the day is dry and fairly comfortable with a slight increase in humidity. wilmington, 68. trenton, 64. allentown, 60. poconos 56. millville, 61. we have very low dewpoints so it's nice and refreshing out there. that will change over the next 48 hours. once this slips through. a lot of this green will fizzle out, once this moisture swings

through, it's a warm front it will open the door to another bout of warmer temperatures and increased humidity levels. forecast, again, not a bad day, combination of sun and clouds, it will turn more humid, and we're shooting for a high of 86 degrees, tomorrow becomes increasingly more active. form prediction center has us in a slight risk for severe weather, they are talking about the potential for damaging winds and large hail. when i come back we'll talk about that and i will the cool down in the seven day. >> philadelphia police need your help in tracking down a suspect that ended in a crash that killed three children. 1 $10,000 reward is -- 100,000-dollar reward is being offered. >> that's my son, you took him away from me, turn yourself in. >> reporter: the emotional plea from the sister of the

children's mother, and the father of joseph reid one of three children killed in the horrific crash. >> it's speakable. especially since we're talking about some kids and adults that was trying to do good. >> it happened at the intersection of germantown and allegheny. williams and her son joseph and 15-year-old terrance william were helping thelma brown sell fruit to raise money for the parish. suddenly the toyota for runner, suv that was carjacked blew a tire that was trying to make a turn at a high rate of speed. >> i heard this pow, and i ran over to my left side and the van came up to the back fence and park. >> reporter: the car crashed

through the fruit stand scattering the victim's bodies. >> i saw the kids on the ground. a woman on the ground crying her clothes ripped off hem. >> reporter: police say it began at 6th and cumberland when a 45-year-old realtor was approached by two men with guns who forced her in and took control. they were traveling at a high rate of speed when they crashed. a small memorial of candle burns for the city. a city is looking for a black male and hispanic male both in their 20s. >> the mayor is heart broken that this has happened. but needs the public to speak up. >> reporter: the realtor is in

confirmation that pope francis will visit philadelphia next year. archbishop charles chaput told the crowd that he would attend. there is no such welcomation, but archbishop was merely hoping that the pope would attend. a 12 hour humanitarian cease-fire started overnight between israel and had hamas. it called for hamas to stop firing rockets into israel. it will continue to search for and destroy tunnels. the idea to let humanitarian aid make its way through the war zone. secretary of state john kerry is

in the region trying to negotiate for longer peace. a crowd you of palestinian supporters gathered outside the israeli consulate to protest the on going violence and death of civilians. some marched across jfk boulevard at 19th with palestinian flags while other also chanted for the u.s. to change it's support of israel. president obama is asking central american leaders for help with the influx of children and families crossing the border obama said they all have put the children and their families at risk. >> we are in partnership with each of those countries to find ways to improve security and

season. >> reporter: almost looks like fog rolling in, but it's dust. you've seen pictures of the old dust storms back in the 1930s. you can get sand accumulating that high easily from those dust storms, not good, very dry out there. let's go live on sky 6. there's the sun rising. looks like a tranquil morning in cape may. temperatures are on the comfortable side. we're 69 degrees at this hour down the jersey shore. the humidity levels are fairly tolerable. that will increase as the next couple of days move on in. 69 in philadelphia. 64 in trenton. 63 in allentown. the numbers are very, very refreshing this morning. poconos into the 50s, millville, 61. dover are 65. those numbers could be much more oppressive, considering the time of year. dewpoints showing it will become

more oppressive as we move toward sunday and monday. 70s feels like new orleans. sunday and monday we'll be in the steam bath, but the numbers drop off as the cold front punches through. this 61 will come early in the day. we'll hang out in the 50s, wednesday, thursday, abbey friday, a nice refreshing change is on the way. here's the satellite and radar composite, a little batch of moisture pushing through central portions of pennsylvania this morning. 95% of that fizzles out before it makes it into the western suburbs. warm front off to the southwest, it will be a warmer day with highs in the mid 80s. come sunday the wmpt punches through -- warm front punches through it will move up into new england. a heavy thunderstorm is possible throughout the day. same thing for monday as these

frontal systems stall over the delaware valley. you on are two of those could be strong with heavy downpours. the reinforcing front kicks the first front out. once the secondary front pushes through, it will feel like september with highs barely cracking 80 degrees. tomorrow the big concern is the thunderstorm threat. some of them could be strong to severe whether damaging winds and hail and drenching downpours. today is a good one, quiet out there, we have sun and clouds, it's the high, thin clouds where the sun shines through it. you'll still get your tan if you're sitting on the beaches this afternoon. come tomorrow it's a different story. we bands of heavier thundershowers during the morning hours into the afternoon. there will be drenching downpours and strong gusty

"action news" was on the scene. 100 block of east ontario street in the city's kensington section. firefighters were called to the home at 2:45 this morning, whtdz arrived flames -- when they arrived flames were shooting from the first floor of the row home. the woman is at episcopal hospital and expected to be okay. there's no sign of the carjackers who killed three

children in a hit-and-run crash. meanwhile, a memorial is growing at germantown avenue and tioga where where the children died in front of the mother. the kids were collecting money for their church. the carjackers took off leaving them to die. the kid's mother, a neighbor and carjacking victim are hospitalized. the mother's sister made a plea. >> i don't have much to say, they need to come forward, maybe they can know something or somebody might know something, whatever happened out here, whoever did it -- i don't know what to say right now. whoever did it, they need to come forward. >> 1,110,000-dollar reward is

man who did it. >> reporter: dennis hunt's sister, teresa hunt was shot dead at the hands of richard plotts. she loomed larnlg in the family -- large in the family she called her mother teresa. >> she stood up for what she believed in, and good hearted. these are crime scene photos of the bloody aftermath the broken window shattered by ten shots fired in the small psychiatric office at mercy fitzgerald. investigators say plotts was angry the hospital posted signs it was gun free. he shot hunt in the head and turned the gun on the psychiatrist dr. lee silver man, who quickly pulled his own gun

and shot plots 3 times. >> when you're coming into the facility and you have bullets in your pocket and revolver in your waistband there's only one intent that's to reload, that's why you have the bullets. the intent to reload. >> reporter: hunt and others say dr. silverman likely controlled the carnage. sources say other guns were found in his apartment, it appears the career criminal was a horder. dennis hunt doesn't understand why his sister was shot especially after a nun at mercy fitzgerald told him this. >> she has done so much for me, it makes it all the harder.

morning about the future of the second largest employer in new jersey. military cuts could eventually threaten joints base mcguire mcguire-dix-lakehurst and they ten thousand jobs. >> reporter: when local officials heard in february that the feds are looking to reduce the military assets and eliminate the casey ten aircraft fleet, be they took notice. mcguire, dix lakehurst are looking to make sure this base stays open and off the chopping block. >> we consider this a real threat particularly since the main mission is under threat. >> reporter: the joint base is the only try service base in the country. it pumps almost $7 billion into the economy and employees

brief heavier showers starting to develop in advance of the bigger cluster that's pushing through. all this is diving toward the southeast. it will be brief and short-lived. later this afternoon we're expecting nothing more than combination of sun and clouds. maybe the next hour, hour and a half you'll see the activity and then it's smooth sailing. it will be a warmer day, gradual increase in humidity. this warm front punches through tomorrow, cruel notice a big change in the humidity, feels like a steam bath, that helps to trigger the heavy thunderstorms. some of the storms tomorrow produce the heavier downpours, maybe a good gust of winds and we'll see small hail out of the thunderstorms tomorrow. the pattern lingers through monday with the frontal system stalled over the delaware valley. it will feel have been july-like with the air temperatures feeling warmer than the actual air temperatures. the front right there, i know

it's hard to see, that front right there. that will punch through monday evening into tuesday morning, that sweeps all the muggy air out to sea. we have a huge canadian high setting up shop. that will provide nice weather for the rest of the workweek. today, most of the areas will be dry, it's tomorrow, we'll have to pay attention to the radars. tomorrow, showers and thunderstorms, drenching downpours possible. today is the better of the two weekend days. as we look at the storms, we have a good bet we'll see strong winds, there could occasional power outages, there's a moderate risk for large hail and low risk for isolated tornados that's for tomorrow. today for the poconos, sun and clouds, 77 degrees, tomorrow watch out for the pop-up
