roar and i ran over to my left side without looking, the van came up and hit the back presence. the car crashed into the fruit stand before crashing into a grove of trees on the far end. >> i saw the kids on the ground and everything, a woman on the ground crying, her cloths ripped off them. >> reporter: police say the began at cumberland when a realtor was getting back in her car. two men approached her with gun that forced her in the car and took control. they lost control of the vehicle, miss williams fight for her life, while mills brown was up-- miss brown was upgraded to stable. the city is asking for the public's help to catch the two men responsible, a black male and hispanic male both in their

at east ontario street in the kensington section of the city. when firefighters arrived flames were shooting from the first floor of the row home. the woman is expected to be okay. no word on what sparked the blaze. the state department closed the u.s. embassies in libya and evacuated american staffers. all staffers are safely in tunisia. this marks the second time in a little more than three years that washington has closed the embassy in libya. >> a 12 hour humanitarian cease-fire between israel and hamas continues this morning. residents are using the cease-fire to stock up on supplies and survey the devastation. 900 palestinians mostly civilians and 40 israelis have

it's pushing east and into the airport and over the delaware valley here within the next half-hour, and again, after that, looks like the rest of the day should be already with a combination of sun and clouds. once we get through this original batch, the day is not that bad. slight chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm. it's only a 20% channels. the main activity is focused on sunday. the frontal systems shift over the delaware valley. that will trigger heavy thunderstorms, spc, storm prediction center has the entire area in a slight risk of severe weather. there's a thunderstorm threat for monday, as will, at least during the morning hours. the reinforcing cold front kicks that out of here and cold front comes through with a canadian high pressure system behind it. wait until you see what it does to our temperatures tuesday and beyond. sun and clouds after the morning

it feels great. >> a flight at los angeles international airport left travelers stranded for days. the netherlands flight was trying to depart for london, and technical problems were discovered and it finally departed yesterday afternoon. a flight was turned back over u.s. coming from canada, because of a passenger. and then police stormed the plane in toronto. flight 772 was turned around over west virginia as i want was bound for panama industry. an agitated passenger directly threatened the aircraft. police charged the man with uttering threats and endangering

groom police in south jersey have made an arrest in the murder of a woman, kevin ambrose was arrested by u.s. marshals in atlantic city, he was accused of killing jennifer bonco. a pizza delivery man discovered her body alongside a road in winslow township. a philadelphia police officer once criticized helped save three people from a fire. jonathan josie jumped into action he was in the area on a police matter and called it in and ran to alert the people inside. >> he observed what he was going on, kicked in the front door, alerted the occupants to

get out. >> if he hadn't been on the job, i don't think they would have survived. >> reporter: lieutenant josey took a man into custody at the scene, police have not charged him yet as they investigate whether there was a firebombing, as for josie you may remember he was once fired from the police force after he was scene striking a woman after the puerto rican day parade in september 2011. he was eight quitted -- acquitted of assault and got his job back. american red cross is urgently asking for donation. right now blood banks are 80,000 points short and won't make it through the summer. organizers are asking folks torched a local blood drive and donate. two more donors per drive would get them through the crunch. a three day summer music festival continues, the exponential musikfest val has 30

>> good morning, sky6 live hd taking a live look at philadelphia international for us this morning. 9:25, 72 degrees, you can see those dark clouds sitting at the top of your screen. there are some heavy showers in parts of our area, meteorologist chris sowers will have a full look at the accuweather forecast in just a few minutes. the phillies general manager is making it clear that ryan howard's days in philadelphia are not numbered. jeff skeverski has that and more on eagles camp. >> reporter: ryan howard benched again last night. is this just a break or are the phillies trying to break time with him howard has been given zero indication that the phils are going to trade him. reuben amaro said he expects howard to be on the roster as the first baseman.

>> right now on "action news," storm tracker 6 live double scan live shows heavy showers push you go through parts of the area. let's head outside to chris sowers where the rain has started on our city avenue location. >> reporter: actually it's pouring. i think this puts an end to the weekend winning streak we've been seeing for two months now. let's go back over to storm tracker 6 live double scan. we have a couple of heavier showers pushing through the delaware valley this morning, as you can see indicated by the yellows, organs and reds. we have a heavy cell over the city and northern kent county. we'll zoom into the one over the city. king of prussia it's coming down at a pretty good clip. moving into the jenkintown,

moving east along the pennsylvania turnpike. frankford will see heavier downpours briefly. it will across the over the delaware river into cherry hill in the next half-hour or so. once we get past this shower activity, most of the day actually looks okay with clouds giving way to sunshine. we'll say morning showers, 735 degrees right now. lunchtime, 82 degrees, skies beginning to brighten up at that point. 5:00 p.m., not too bad, combination of sun and clouds, gradual increase in humidity, temperatures around 83 degrees coming off a high of 86. if you're planning on hitting the shore, you'll have to deal with showers over the next couple of hours, and a lot of cloud cover, but down there, as well, it will clear out for sunshine before the day is out. 82 in cape may.

a memorial is growing at allegheny and germantown avenue in tioga where the children died right in front of their mother. a carjacked suv blew a tire and plowed into the fruit stand. it is carjacker took off leave the kids to dry. the mother's sister made a plea. >> they need to come forward, maybe they know something, somebody might know something, whatever happened out here today, whoever did it, i don't know, i don't know what to say right now. whoever did it, they need to turn themselves in. >> a 110,000-dollar reward is posted for the arrest and conviction of the car jack son.

the vatican tells "action news" there is no official confirmation that the pope will visit the world family conference. the vatican and the philadelphia archdiocese says there's no such confirmation, archbishop chaput was compressing his hope that the pope would attend. a new app tells the story when jersey town recovers from super-storm sandy. the boardwalk app for sandy launched last week. the boardwalk was heavily damaged by sandy and later by fire. the app was created by a group of radio producers. the eagles are back in training camp in south philadelphia, but there's also excitement inside the link with upgrades for fans.
