meteorologist, david murphy has the accuweather forecast. good morning, david. >> good morning, guys. it is a little bit cool out there as we are in the 60's but we also have clear skies, low humidity, really kind of refreshing as you step outside and there's cloud cover out to the west you can see it's falling apart. over all expecting sunshine today with perhaps an occasional passing cloud. 66 degrees is the current temperature in philadelphia. if you're in allentown you're stepping outside to 60 so that will feel cool. 59 out in lancaster, 63 in wilmington and 67 in sea isle city and on the boardwalk in ac. heading out the door then this morning, cool, refreshing, not much wind, 64 by 6:00 and 66 by 8:00 a.m. pretty pleasant start to your day. it looks like it will stay on the pleasant side today. lots of sunshine early, perhaps a few clouds every now and then, particularly as we go later into the afternoon. 68 by 9:00, 75 by noon. a great morning to get out and get errands done or do whatever you need to do. by 3 o'clock that's your high of 80 and 74 by 6 o'clock. we are look tag fair amount of sunshine today and it's going to get warm later on but we'll

"action news" reporter katherine scott is live from where another vigil will take place later today. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam. the community is certainly come together to remember these children and the case has even caught the attention of nba great and former philadelphia 76er charles barkley who has offered to pay for the funerals for these three children. the family will be holding another vigil here at allegheny and germantown tonight where this happened here in tioga and you can see the memorial for them is growing. people have been coming from all over the city to remember

the siblings 10 year old thomas reed, 15 year old keieara williams and seven year old terrence moore. their mother was critically injured and a family friend. two men stole the car hitting the family who was selling fruit on a street corner for a church fundraiser. the two men were arraigned overnight and denied bail. charges come after a three day manhunt. a reward of more than one hundred thousand dollars was offered. witnesses and others who saw the aftermath of the crash said seeing the victims in the grass last friday drove them to speak up. >> you had to do something. you just couldn't stand there and not feel nothing. you know, it hurted to see them babies laying there. >> we have three young people who are dead and critically injured individuals based on a senseless act and we have to make sure it never happens again. >> and back here live where you can see people have been leaving today loons and stuffed animals. there are lit candles here at

this memorial. city council president darryl clark was out here last night. he says the city owns this lot where the crash happened and they're considering making a permanent memorial. tonight's vigil begins at 6:00 p.m. we are live in tioga, katherine scott, channel 6 "action news." >> katherine thank you for that. and we have extensive coverage on the carjacking online with the latest on the suspects, charges and the victims. >> the search is on in delaware county for the wawa customer who coldcocked another man at the cold cut sandwich counter. upper darby police believe the 47-year-old victim was ogling the attacker's daughter. >> there was an argument that ensues. the gentleman who is getting the sandwich denies looking at this guy's daughter and the guy sucker punches him. >> the victim is being treated forehead wounds an possible concussion. it happened at the wawa on 69th street near patterson avenue sunday evening. upper darby police hope someone recognizes the attacker seen here who left in a sedan, possibly a ford

model. >> delaware county authorities are asking for your help finding a bank robbery suspect. detectives say the man in these photos targeted the wells fargo bank on chester pike in sharon hill on friday. he used a note to threaten a tell and demand big bills with no dye pack. if you recognize this man call sharon hill police at the flub on your screen. happening today the ntsb will wrap up its investigation into the 2012 train derailment in paulsboro new jersey. the national transportation safety board will determine the probable cause of the incident. a conrail freighter dumped around 20,000 gallons of vinyl chloride into mantua creek. many residents reported health problems in the weeks after that incident. >> israel is stepping up its offensive in gaza once again. watch as explosions rattle a reporter. >> very quickly we've already taken the windows out of this side of the building.

>> israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu is warning of a prolonged military campaign in gaza. he wants to destroy tunnels he believes hamas uses to funnel weapons. gaza's electricity company says two israeli tank shells hit a power station fuel tank overnight. israel is also attacking homes of hamas leaders. hamas says it has determination for a long fight. the european union will impose new economic sanctions against russia this week. the penalties are over russia's military support of separatists in ukraine. the west says russia supplied rebels with the missile system that shot down a malaysia airlines flight in ukraine. the plane's black boxes indicate missile shrapnel destroyed the plane. the white house backs the new eu sanctions. >> time to take that first look at business. a new study says, listen to this, that a third of americans are dealing with debt collectors. the urban institute finds 77 million people say they've

>> a tornado kicked up dirt while damaging farmland in colorado. you're taking a look at video of one of several twisters reported in the state yesterday. a funnel cloud spotted just north of denver national airport forced passengers to have to take shelter in the concourses. and a rare tornado cut a 2-mile path of destruction north of boston. the national weather service confirmed an ef-2 twister touched down in revere yesterday. trees and power lines were knocked down. no one was seriously hurt.

dry. we're looking after plenty of sunshine today occasionally mixing with some clouds. 66 by 8 o'clock, 73 by 11 o'clock and by 2 o'clock 78 degrees with a lie of 80 probably around 3 o'clock. we'll slide back to 77 by 5 o'clock. a warm afternoon high. most of the time we'll be in the 70's with low humidity. high temperatures across the region, 79 in wilmington, 78 in trenton, 78 millville, 79 in dover and 75 in cape may with a seven and a seven on the beach in atlantic city. as we take a look at tomorrow, future tracker not showing us all that much going on. there will probably be a few clouds here or there but looks like another nice day. we'll just get a little bit warmer. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, refresh dag with a high of 80 degrees. use sunscreen if you'll be outside. otherwise no real weather issues. tomorrow partly sunny and nice, little warmer with a high of 84 but still pleasant. on thursday we'll probably feel it get a little more humid, a high of 85. it now appears we'll stay dry and then friday warm and humid, 85 and friday is the

chance where we might see a thunderstorm returning to the action and then saturday and sunday we're still looking at low to mid 80's. it will probably be a bit on the humid side and there is that chance of a scattered thunderstorm both days. at this point i can't say that any of these days are going to be total washouts. items it's just a thunderstorm or shower around probably later in the day and in the evening most of these days but there is that chance with a stalled frontal boundary nearby. and then on monday we'll stay unsettled with a high of 86 degrees an shower or a thunderstorm can't be ruled out there as well. so, we are transitioning back to a little bit bumpier and slightly more humid weather as we go through thursday and friday but today and tomorrow both look great and today with there 80-degree high below average and really comfortable. >> we'll enjoy it. thank you david. here's a new video into "action news," dramatic video of a car careening into a florida automotive shop. the owner of the shop paul broman was working on a k a 90

year old passenger was killed. his 88 year old wife was driving and is in serious condition. police say it is not clear what caused the driver to lose control of her car and crash. >> new this morning it turns out dating web site ok cupid has been performing some of the same psychological experiments on its users that landed facebook in hot water recently. "action news reporter erin oh schenn at the big board this morning with more of the details. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam. the site has been candid about this experiment it conducted on its love seeking users. it altered compatibility scores of its users based on how they answered a series of questions on the site. so, among users who were just 30 percent compatible they had a 10 percent chance of engaging in a conversation but when ok cupid duped users who had a low combat tact telling them their score was actually 90 percent that number rose to 17 percent -- 17 percent chance of having an online conversation. the experiment worked in the other direction as well. if users were given a low

by as they do some resurfacing work but they should be out of there soon. for now stay left as you come north away from the blue route as you go towards the airport. let's go over to the schuylkill near spring garden street. overnight work crews in eastbound lanes are gone. part of the road is milled so you can expect a bit that of bumpy ride. still no delays coming from the western suburbs if you're heading towards center city. matt. >> i know that and it is not good for the axles of your vehicle. thank you for the auditory explanation, tam. time for your travel forecast. take a look at the surface summary here at the big board. lots of green across the country and that is g you see a little red and orange. on the coastline of california. hm. wonder what that means for people who are traveling to lax, also san francisco international airport. well, lax actually looks good but san francisco get that low cloud cover that you typically see over there and that could cause a delay in flights heading there but it should clear out in the afternoon. notice up and down the east

coast looking pretty good including around here. great weather in philadelphia so no delays expected from boston all the way down to atlanta. but down in florida the typical thundershowers could cause delays particularly at miami international airport. thundershowers expected in dallas and houston. out here in the midwest chicago and detroit could see thundershowers later today but as you notice we do not have minneapolis posted so looks good for minneapolis saint paul travelers and finally out here in the rocky mountain states denver salt lake city and out in the desert las vegas could see thundershowers but phoenix looking good from sky harbor international. tam back to you. >> matt naacp you. houston police are looking for a doggie door burglar caught on camera failing at an attempt to steal a bike. surveillance video shows a burglary suspect making his way into the home and he didn't bother to disguise himself. the homeowners were out of town during that break in. the brazen bandit tried to steal a bike but seemed to have trouble riding it. he ended up not getting away with anything he still has not been arrested.

new this morning there's been an outpouring of support for a mother in south carolina who faces a felony charge for letting her child play alone in a park. debra harrell had to spend 17 days in jail following her arrest last month. the single mother let her nine year old daughter spend time in a playground near the mcdonalds where she was working at the time. volunteers come to the park to provide free lunches for children they said they didn't see a need to report the situation to police but under south carolina law leaving children unattended can be considered criminal. >> this is new on "action news." new york city police are looking into whether an officer went too far while busting a pregnant woman for illegal grilling. an east new york avenue casey group released these photos showing 27 year old roseann miller struggling with an officer who appears to have her in a choke hold. police responded to the brooklyn home over the weekend because miller was grilling on a public sidewalk. that is against the law. a fight broke out that ended with her, her brother and husband all in handcuffs.

>> gun maker smith and wesson is accused of bribing foreign officials to win contracts and has agreed to settle over the claims. the company has agreed to pay a $2 million fine to the u.s. government. the security and exchange commission says smith and wesson made improper payments to officials in pakistan, indonesia and other countries while trying to sell firearms to law enforcers and military agencies. >> an r. kelly concert scheduled to open a columbus ohio festival has been canceled because of backlash over the singer's past. soon after announcing he was headlining the show complaints poured in about his unseemly legal history.

in 2002 the sing are was indicted on 21 counts of making child pornography. kelly was found not guilty of those charges in 2008. the organizers decide d to pull him from the lineup. mike the situation sorentino has quite a bit of a situation on his hands. the former "jersey shore" star will complete three months of anger management counseling. it's part of a deal to settle an assault charge after police arrested him for fighting with his brother at their tanning salon. it was actually his mother who knocked sorentino out. he and his brother co-own the salon. >> living up to his name. >> quite a situation. >> 4:57. see last night including a stabbing at a philadelphia home. police hall off two people in handcuffs overnight. >> a driver fleeing an accident loses control and ends up in the delaware river trapped inside a sinking car. it's 5:00 a.m. on this tuesday july 29th. >> a plan is stabbed multiple times outside a home in philadelphia overnight and police take two people into custody. >> police credit a philadelphia community for leading them to two suspects in a deadly carjacking case you. >> might want to grab something with long sleeves before you head out the door. accuweather is tracking a cool start this morning. >> and i'm okay with that. let's find out more about that with david murphy. he's got that accuweather and karen rogers is taking a look at traffic. good morning to both of you. >> i want to say we had one or two days maybe about a week ago that were like this and we got another one this morning and another one tomorrow so a couple mornings that are going to start out cool and comfortable. we'll also see plenty of sunshine over the horizon quickly as the cloud cover out to the west is really falling apart. we've got dry air in place helping that to happen. how are the numbers this morning? not bad. 66 degrees in philadelphia and allentown just in the last couple of minutes has slipped back down into the upper 50's. probably even cooler tomorrow morning. 60 degrees in reading, 62 in
