trying to determine what happened. there was another police shooting on the 2300 block of paige street, now a man is on his way to temple hospital after being shot by a police officer here in the strawberry mansion section. we'll bring you much more information as it becomes available. now a buck county and non-profit is targeted by thieves for a third time in 18 months. the salvation army is hit by thieves. and now police hope they can track down the suspects responsible. >> we have a group of thieves that stole thousands of dollars from that bucks county nonprofit. >> it's the third time this united way was burglarized. amy buckman joins us with more. >> we are behind the offices of the united way of buck county. this is where their air conditioner used to be, clearly

it is gone and this is one of the thefts that police are investigating. >> i thought it was terrible. especially for the united way, they give things away to people and all. >> that is the reaction for falls town residents after learning that thieves stole an air conditioning unit from the offices of the bucks county unite the way. >> the staff came in and the breakers were blown in the building and they started to investigate what the problems were and the air conditioning unit was totally gone. even with insurance, the air conditioner will cost $3,000 to replace. it's not the first place that the united way has been targeted. twice in less than two years, thiefs have broken into this storage shed where they keep donations from retailers that are pleasant to help the county's needy. >> we had individuals come and break the doors off the shed and then came back a second time and use the bolt cutters and took

off the locks and chain. >> they cut off this heavy chain to get into the shed. wow. >> while the charts is trying to get donations to replace the stolen items, falls township police have stepped up patrols to stop the air conditioner thefts. homes and even a church has been burglarized. >> they appear to be scrappers, they are taking the air conditioners for scrap. >> they say keep the area well lit around your air conditioning area, allowing your neighbors and passersby to spot suspicious activity. >> the scrappers that stole this unit got somewhere between $150 and $300 for it and it will cost $3,000 to replace it. the united way is looking to replace the air conditioning.
