into the apartment, she is in critical condition. a philadelphia police officer is on desk duty after shooting a suspect in the strawberry mansion section. this happened on the 3200 block of page street yesterday afternoon. officers were surrounding a home looking for a man in connection with an earlier shooting. investigator say the alleged gunman came out of the home and pointed the gun at the police, they say when the officer fired. the officer who shot him turned over the gun to superfluous spending an investigation. our katherine scott will have a live report just ahead at 5:00 a.m. new this morning, police arrest a man for a brutal assault on a woman in southwest philadelphia. it may not have been the first time. the woman was walking down the the street, when attacker came you mean behined her and tried to choke her. a police task force heard her

every now and then there could be a pop-up shower or thunderstorm that will pop through. that's the 7:00 a.m. view, mainly north of philadelphia. keep your eyes on that later today and the evening. 68 degrees, by 8:00 a.m., that's not too shabby. 78 by 11, 82 by 2:00, high of 84 around 4:00 p.m. before we are back to 82 by 5. the spotty thunderstorm mainly north, hopefully most of you miss out on that. high temperatures, 83 in trenton, 84 in philadelphia and wilmington. down the upper 70s at the shore, light winds with the mix of sun and clouds, we'll go back and forth between the sun and clouds today. tomorrow a couple of features will be conspiring to make us cloudier, there's a boundary off to the north that's been sitting by us. tomorrow there's a showers and thunderstorms developing.
