the wider picture shows the upper level feature that will be in the process of pulling in later this afternoon at it is will trigger showers and thunderstorms late in the day. 74 degrees, millville, 73. wilmington, 72. allentown, 73 him. trenton, 72 degrees, it's sticky out there, even not numbers look refreshing, it's not really warm, the humidity is so high it doesn't feel that refreshing. cloudy, that's the call for the rest of the afternoon. there could be a shower or thunderstorm that develop especially across the far western suburbs. some of those could produce drenching downpours, some of the forecast moldses are showing one to two -- modelings are showing one to two inches west of philadelphia. when i come back i'll have the seven-day forecast which features more showers and storms monday and tuesday. >> when these changes come stay on top of it with 6abc.com.

there you'll find the hourly and seven-day forecast and the video from our "action news" meteorologists. him. we begin with breaking news this noon, police in upper darby are investigating the death of a woman inside a home. just before 7:30, officers responded to the call to check the well-being of the woman who lives in this house on the # thousand block of -- 7,000 block of emerson avenue. >> we go upstairs in the second floor bedroom laying in the bed is a woman, 38-year-old woman obviously dead, she's got a towel thrown over her head. >> detectives are in the early stages of their investigation. as of right now, they don't know how the woman died, well, of course, keep you updated as we learn more. the search is on this noon for the second person wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 3-year-old girl.

she was killed sitting on a porch in etting street in grays ferry. doug lags -- douglas wood is being held without bail after tynirah borum was struck in a chest by a stray bullet that was fired during a fight between two men. >> she was a beautiful child, a gift from god. >> last night members of the community remembered the little girl during a vigil. amnesty international called attention to her death during a rally in center city. >> the search is on for two men who led police on a chase dragging an officer after trying to break into a fruit smoothy truck. the man tried to break into the truck on widener street in olney. the officer got out of his

patrol car to question the man, he jumped into a vehicle owmed by another man -- occupied by another man and drove off. the officer grabbed the door and was dragged half a block. the officer who was dragdz has a few -- who was dragdz has a few scrapes but is okay. u.n. head said the israelis struck a school in gaza. israeli military said they are plan to go redeploy troops along the gaza border for a new phase of the operation. israel has scaled down it's presence in gaza and urge palestinians in certain neighborhoods to return home. >> operations are underwade in liberia, to bring the second

the eagles are holding an open training for fans today. warm and sticky, but not all that terrible considering the time of the year. 74 in philadelphia, 72 in wilmington, dover and millville, both showing 73. lancaster, 72 and sticky 70 degrees for the poconos. winds speeds generally out of the east. 10 miles per hour in wildwood, 8 miles per hour in atlantic city and 8 miles per hour in philadelphia. we'll see gentle breeze throughout the day. we'll not see anything too terribly wind. although with that said with this upper level feature which i have marked off on storm tracker 6 live double scan, as that pulls through it will create thunderstorms some of those could produce big winds in excess of 40, to had to 45 miler hour. right now we're quiet, that low is quite a ways back, as that approaches we'll see the thunderstorms flare up again. cruel see clouds out there, you may see breaks a little bit of

sunshine, but for the most part it's a cloudy day from this point on. future tracker 6 shows that little disturbance closing in. le later on 5:00, 6:00 p.m., the suburbs will see the pop-up showers or thunderstorms. doesn't look like the city or south jersey will see anything from this feature. the northwestern suburbs you guys will see heavy downpours later on. 8:00 p.m. this evening, you can see the heavy showers and thunderstorms north and west of the city. if you're traveling into beth home for the -- bethlehem for the musikfest there could downpours around, make sure you have an umbrella with you maybe a poncho because it looks like there could showers out there. monday we'll start out with a combination of sun and clouds, once again it will be sticky out there, there could be that chance of a shower or thunderstorm. but it doesn't look like it's going to be as widespread as what we've been dealing with

over the last couple of days. look at the rainfall totals, doesn't look like much south and east of the city, when you get underneath those storms you could see anything from an inch to an inch and a quarter. poconos this afternoon the rails starts at 1:00 p.m. looks like it will be okay, but toward the end, showers and thunderstorms look like they will get closer, i'm not sure it will impact the race, but it's a close call. the jersey shore, it's not a beach day, if you're trying to catch a tan. 77 degrees, lots of clouds and maybe the occasional drizzle. a couple of showers and sticky, as well with winds out the east/southeast. philadelphia, mostly cloudy, after thunderstorm possible, winds out of the south at 5 to 15 miles per hour. overnight mostly cloudy skies, perhaps an leftover evening shower or thunderstorm. 64 in the out lying suburbs, 68 for center city. 86 degrees for monday and

that's the trigger this afternoon, that will create the showers and thunderstorms. the good news not everyone will see them. probably they are staying to areas west of the city. place like allentown, lancaster, you are under the gun for the heavy showers and storms later on. 6:30, the model shows this blossoming, you can see the reds and the marines starting to -- maroons starting to develop. by 8:30, all the activity is pushing into the lehigh valley. allentown and bethlehem, there could storms for those of you going to musikfest. by 10:30 it's out of here. tomorrow morning there's a combination of sun and clouds and afternoon thunderstorm once again. down in the carribean, this is tropical storm better better. unorganized, magnum stained winds are 45 miles per hour. moving to the northwest at 21 miles per hour, pressure

reading 1,012 millibars. if you're breaking in the bahamas, they will be impactedded by heavy rains and lots of clouds. most of the strongest wind gusts will stay away from the shoreline. monday and tuesday that upper level feature will knock this out to sea, looks like we'll steer clear of the system. maybe it provides the coast with a few rip current by wednesday and rougher than normal seas, that would be about it. 77 degrees down the jersey shore. cloudy and areas of patchy drizzle. philadelphia, thunderstorms is possible, high of 81. mainly cloudy overnight tonight evening thunderstorm. 64 in the outlying suburbs, 68 for center city. up in bethlehem, musikfest,
