let's head to meteorologist, david murphy. good morning, david. >> good morning, guys. and we have a fair amount of sunshine on the way early today from the looks of it. we may see some clouds build a little bit later in the day and we will be looking at a very spotty thunderstorm popping up. 71 degrees right now in philadelphia and we're still holding onto that humidity from yesterday so it is a bit muggy this morning. 66 in trenton, 67 in wilmington, 64 in atlantic city, 69 in sea isle city. you might run into some patchy fog in spots around the region this morning. and as we head out the door we are looking at mainly clear skies with some areas seeing some of that cloud cover i just showed you. 69 degrees by 6:00 and by 8:00 just showed you. so, it does get on the mild side quickly today. and in fact we're going to see those numbers climb. by noon we'll be at 83, 89 is your high at 3 o'clock and then 84 at 6 o'clock. humidity will tend to sag a little bit as the day goes on and there is that chance of the spotty thunderstorm popping up in a couple of spots. we also have a couple of issues here, air quality would be the main one, unhealthy for

sensitive groups especially in southeastern pennsylvania and urban centers. the state of delaware is posting thisly i would be careful limiting my outdoor activity if i have asthma or. a senior citizen. moody blues. partly cloudy, moderately humid at the sort and just a slight chance of a spotty storm. i think you're probably okay. we'll be back with the changes coming up in the seven-day forecast, matt in a couple minutes. >> see you in a bit. thank you david. firefighters have be working along with utility crews and a crane at the scene of a house collapse in camden. a car crash caused the structure to fall to the ground. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live at tenth and linden streets with more on what happened overnight and what is happening now. katherine. >> reporter: matt, one woman and one man from that car crash were taken to the hospital in critical condition. emergency responders were right across the street when that house start d to collapse and you can see right now it's just rubble. everybody is pretty much cleared out.

there's still some police holding the scene. demolition crews were called in to take down the remaining structure. you can see the banged up car, the downed pole and debris spilling into the street from the house. the roof is slandering down. it was a mess. chopper six was overhead last night soon after this all happened. police and fires crews were surrounding the scene around 11 o'clock last night, authorities were called out to the intersection of tenth and linden in camden. the car had lost control and hit the house, spun out, took down several light poles. the driver and passenger were trapped inside that car. rescue crews were in the process of freeing the pair from the car when the house right across the street start d to collapse. the house was being renovated. there was no one inside at the time. utility crews were called in to shut off the utilities. other crews were inspecting the damage and making sure there was no one inside the house then heavy equipment was brought in for demolition. no first responders were

injured but again the man and woman from that initial crash remain at the hospital in critical condition. we're live in camden, katherine scott, channel 6 "action news." matt. >> thank you, katherine. new this morning, a delaware county family that is on vacation has no home to return to. fire gutted their house on camely lane in chadds ford overnight. the flames were already rage willing firefighters arrived and there weren't any fire hydrants nearby. plus, the home is on a hill in a wooded area. within an hour the home was gone. no word yet on a cause. >> philadelphia police say they have arrested the man who shot and killed three-year-old tynirah did during a shootout. officers nabbed brandon ruffin in germantown. little tynirah was hit by a stray bullet on friday night on a grays ferry street while a neighbor was braiding her hair. police quickly arrested douglas woods in connection with the shooting but they say ruffin fired the shot that

killed the three-year-old. erin o'hearn will have more on the investigation in our next half hour. >> yet another ceasefire went into effect a few hours ago in the middle east. israeli ground troops have withdrawn from gaza. let's take a life look at gaza right now and as you can see s-it is quiet, smoke no longer billowing from some of these buildings. israel and hamas have agreed a 72 hour or three day long halt of host tilts and it continues to hold. both sides plan to hold indirect talks in egypt on a broader peace proposal. hamas wants israel and egypt to lift their seven year old blockade of the gaza border. israel wants hamas to disarm. nearly 1900 palestinians have been killed in the month long war. 67 israelis have died. >> the second american aide worker diagnosed with the ebola virus is now on a plane from west africa to atlanta and we are learning more about the medical treatment for her

and the american doctor battling the disease. here's apc's tahman bradley. >> reporter: this morning doctors are fighting to save the lives of two americans infected with eastbound remarks nancy writebol is said to be improving after receiving a dose of an experimental drug. the 59-year-old missionary from charlotte was in liberia helping to dee contaminate doctors and got sick. >> she was eating a little bit, able to take in fluid. so, you know, we're cautiously optimistic. >> reporter: according to the president of writebol's missionary group, nancy's condition has improved enough to make special requests. >> she asked for her favorite liberian meal of potato soup and coffee. >> reporter: dr. kent brantly who arrived in the u.s. on saturday in a full bio suit is also taking the experimental drug and we've learned his fever is lower. it's not clear if the experimental treatment is the reason the americans are improving. ebola has already killed almost 900 people in three african countries, only

71 degrees in sea isle city. and as we take a look at future tracker 6 we are looking at a lack of precipitation through most of the day, although as we get into the afternoon and evening there is that chance of a pop-up spotty shower around and maybe a thunderstorm here or there. looks like most of you probably miss out then but it's something you'll have to keep your eyes on. as we take a look at allentown's forecast, 88 degrees, a mix of sun and clouds. there's the chance of a late storm. possibly in the afternoon and early evening. of course music fest is on tonight with the moody blues. i think the chances are pretty good you miss out and that owe on that but worth keeping your eyes on the skies. 78 degrees by noon, 84 degrees 3 o'clock, patchy fog, u.v. index a little on the high side when the sun is out. today's high in philadelphia, 89 degrees, a mix of sun and clouds, a spotty thunderstorm can't be ruled out. there you see how the numbers are going to climb today. we get up to 86 degrees by 5 o'clock, 83 by 11:00 so basically in the 80's.

some urban sends might touch 90 by 3 o'clock this afternoon. in philadelphia going for an official high of 89. hurricane bertha off the coast has been downgrade d to a tropical storm. the winds in the latest update in the last couple minutes have knocked that storm down to a 65 miles per hour wind. it does look like this is going to be passing us by as a tropical storm today well off the coast splitting the difference between bermuda and the east coast of the united states. but we are going to have one effect over the next couple days. that storm will be strong enough to churn some pretty good waivers on the ocean so be careful of rip currents down the shore both today and tomorrow. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, 89 degrees, very warm this afternoon and humidity definitely a factor this morning but getting a little bit less humid as the day goes on and we have that thunderstorm chance this afternoon in a couple of neighborhoods. tomorrow a mix of clouds and sun a-better high of 84 although there's probably a better chance of thunderstorms around. not expecting these to be severe in most cases but that

will be something to watch. then on thursday sunny and nice, a high of 84. friday partly sunny, 83 and the weekend is really looking good. saturday mostly sunny, 84 and sunday still nice with a high of 85 degrees. really looks like a good looking weekend and a fair amount of sunshine and then by monday, 85 degrees and there's the chance of another thunderstorm popping up. got the union saturday night, the phillies coming up seven straight nights. >> music fest. >> yeah, right. a lot of stuff going on. >> thanks, david. city inspectors warning some homeowners in southwest philadelphia to make plans to move out. roughly 150 homes in the eastwick section are having structural problems. sherri thomas hired engineers and they told her -- >> there is no solution. they said that the houses are sinking and they shouldn't have been built and they were built on some kind of silt from the schuylkill. >> eastwick was part of an urban renewal project. it was once swampy land.

in the morning msp could give you some problems. houston thundershowers, thundershowers in denver, thundershowers in salt lake city. san francisco could see some thundershowers today causing delays going to sfo. at lax the low cloud cover sort of like fog but a little higher could cause a delay in flights there. should clear out later on today. eva back to you. >> two women who were nearly killed on the tracks tracks by a freight train are now facing charges. it happened last month on a trestle bridge in indiana. the women survived by laying flat on the tracks. the train which recorded the near tragedy passed over them by mere inches. a conviction fortress passing could result in a six month jail sentence and a $1,000 fine sponge little leaguers are headed to virginia to defend south jersey. the action cam caught the marlton reds hard at work. the team holds the title for the cal rip kin middle atlantic regional championship.
