taste of bertha, the storm is well offshore but creating heavy surf and rough waves, surprising seasoned swimmers. >> i wasn't expecting it, it was not that big a wave but it knocked me over and we have come here for years, this is the toughest waves i have ever been in. >> a big wave hit everyone and a lot of people went under, i was trying to get up and i sprained my leg. >> the wave of energy tumbles people around and they get pulled out. waist deep only! >> lifeguards are on high alert and so are parents. >> everybody is on edge watching, even when you are standing there the water is going crisscross, it's pulling your feet.

report tonight. chopper 6 hd is over a nasty crash here in atlantic county. buena vista county. a car and truck collided here and there may be people trapped in the wreckage. you can take a look at the accident scene here, emergency officials are on the scene and looking into what caused the crash and the extent of the injuries. this have area is shut down for a while and will be shut down until further notice. we'll keep an eye on this situation here along route 54 in atlantic county and bring you more information as it becomes available. a north philadelphia woman was viciously attacked on her doorstep. on the 1500 block of north 18th street, the woman was about to open her front door when three

men came up behind her and started hitting her, she told police they were after her cell phone but after beating her for more than a minute, the men gave up. if you recognize the men detectives would like to hear from you. one teenager accused of carjacking an eldery woman and locking her in the trunk of a car last year has pleaded guilty. "action news" is following the story. he admitted to carjacking and kidnapping and conspiracy, and she and several other girls took 89-year-old margaret smith after she agreed to give them a ride to milford. they left smith in the trunk for to days without water or food or her medication. and then they dumped her barefoot into a cemetery. a 20-year-old man and his female passenger were critically injured when their car slammed

into a vacant house in camden overnight. this is the scene at 10 and and lyndon street. the car lost control and took out several light poles before hitting the house, the impact was so severe the house had to be torn down due to structural damage, the cause of crash is under investigation. >> philadelphia police are looking for this man, 72-year-old william newhouse, is he missing from roxborough memorial hospital. he was admitted on friday for treatment for dementia and whereas found missing yesterday afternoon. he is 6'2", 225 pounds with gray hair and the picture is on your screen. if you have seen william newhouse call authorities. in berks county, two employees at a school for kids with disabilities are facing charges for assaulting a student and trying to cover it up. it happened at paramount academy in april, it involved ishmael
