meteorologist, david murphy is here now. what do you think for tonight. the showers should take off and go south of the region. but a little out there to talk about. there are a couple of showers around and obviously it's not raining everywhere. what is coming down is fairly light, although can you see in the middle of this batch of precip east of the malvern. you can see the yellow opening up and heading towards philadelphia over the next 15 to 20 minutes. a broken pattern of precipitation, there is a little bit more looking to push towards the east. this stuff by baltimore pushed towards delaware county, and some of it falls apart, and we
12:15 pm
have the broken pattern of precipitation. and mainly light and as the day goes on this may fall apart or push to the south. as we look outside, we have sky 6, that has been out all day, showing the clouds moving in the last couple of hours, here is the picture from lower merion, pennsylvania, but the sunshine from earlier this morning has begun to fall behind the clouds. 75 in philadelphia, dew point 61, the winds are breezy out of the northwest at 10. 70s in the north and west and this is an indication of a frontal boundary sagging over the region, this front is expected to continue to drop this way and these numbers will bounce back up behind it a little bit. but the general flow of that front is from north to south. future tracker has breaks in the clouds again with sun returning. there is a chance of spotty showers or thunderstorms around but the model doesn't want to
12:16 pm
put much in and in most cases you should be dry ougt. allentown will allow for the spotty storm or shower. 82 and clouds and sun, 73 in the water off atlantic city and on the beach 83, a lot of spots along the coast getting into the low 80s, we have to allow for a spotty shower or storm. and as i mentioned at the top of the half hour, bertha is off the coast and we are getting rip currents, if you get caught in one go north or south along the beach. 86 is the high, clouds and sun and a spotty shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. and we'll toss it another one this evening and i think we are dry ougt. the phillies tonight, a good chance of being dry, great idea to check out storm tracker 6 before you head out. 81 for the first pitch and 76 in the ninth inning, and same story

in bethlehem for musikfest. steely dan at 8:30, 72 and a light north wind and a small chance of getting wet. rick and sara mentioned this, we have a couple of hurricanes out in the pacific, both of whom will come close to honolulu but they may be tropical storm storms before you get there, if you have travel plans to the great state of hawaii, keep your eye on the forecast. 86 and clouds and sun and spotty showers are around and most of that is tapering off this evening. sunny and nice and 83 and partly sunny on saturday, and a nice batch of weather coming. and low 80s on saturday and sunday a rain maker is to our south, some of those models want to push it into our region, and the european wants to keep it to the south and keep us dry. >> that is the way we are leaning, probably dry this weekend.
12:18 pm
can you go wrong with the european, good to know. thank you david. that will do it for "action news" at noon, don't forget "action news" at 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00. for david murphy and sara bloomquist, have a nice afternoon. see you tonight. i'm j-a-n-e and i have copd.
