with david murphy good morning. >> reporter: good morning we have the main cloudy cover that is south of us in advance of a southern system that will stay south of us through the weekend. 73 degrees in philadelphia. 59 in wilmington, 53 in allentown. not as windy, but cool to start out. at noon we'll be in the upper 70s the high is 84 at 3:00 p.m. 81 at 6:00 p.m., similar to yesterday with a lot of the sunshine and occasional clouds popping in. le you mean -- up at musikfest, the main stage is alan jackson. start at the concert, 72. end up in the 60s. >> reporter: we have an accident in conshohocken a truck ran into the guardrail. the truck is over there, we had

emergency workers and two lanes are getting by, this is the blue route northbound approaching ridge pike in conshohocken. it's creating a jam-up. we're jammed from the schuylkill expressway to ridge pike northbound on the blue route. we have an accident in salford township, montgomery county clump road and whites mill road. le watch for that accident this morning. washington township, the accident investigation has cleared, delsea drive shut down, that would have been tough. it was just reopened. things are looking better here. as we step outside with our camera in new jersey that's 42 northbound no delay just yet looking good at creek road. tam. >> thank you, karen. we're starting with this developing story, a massive fire forced residents out of the montgomery county apartment

building overnight. it broke out in the dead of night at 2:00 a.m., katherine scott is live on the scene with the latest. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, the red cross is on the scene here, there are 8 units in that apartment buildings where the fire broke out. the red cross is assisting five families that's ten people and a dog. one woman is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. there's quite a bit of damage from the overnight fire. firefighters were initially called before 2:00 a.m. to the woods apartment complex on the 700 block of west lincoln drive in ambler, upper dublin township. when firefighters arrived at least one apartment was on fire. they could see the flames from the outside of the buildings. the resident from the apartment was out on the balcony. eventuallily she went back inside, she was rescued by firefighters. neighbors say the flames were fierce. >> flames were bad, i'm telling you what, they were shooting out from the side and up, it was

just like like a volcano. it was bad. >> reporter: back here live, now that it's getting brighter. you can get a look at the debris from the fire overnight. the fire was largely concentrated in the end unit. firefighters say they were able to minimize the fire from spreading, but there's smoke in other apartments. 8 units in this apartment building that firefighters say are affected one way or the other, red cross are asking ten people and a dog at this time. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> thank you, katherine. new this morning, a nasty crash in south jersey sent two people to the hospital overnight. the action cam was on the 200 block of delsea drive washington township gloucester county. the two cars collided after 1:00 a.m. two people were trapped and had to be rescued from one of the vehicles. one was flown to the hospital, the other was taken by ambulance. no word on what caused the

as it's gotten brighter you can get a better look at the damage that remains after the fire in upper dublin township. the fire broke all the at 2:00 a.m. in the woods apartment complex on the 700 block of west lincoln drive in ambler. when firefighters arrived they could see the flames from the outside of the building and the resident in the apartment where it seems to have began it was out on the balcony. people could hear her screaming. eventually she went back into the apartments and she was rescued by firefighters. the fire was placed under control in 35 minutes. it was mainly concentrated in the end unit. firefighters were able to minimize the fire from spreading. >> it was in one apartment, but this complex is very prone to fire spread. so we had to get in here pretty quick because once it gets into the roof line, it could take out the whole buildings, -- buildin.

the guys did a good job getting the fire out with minimal damage. >> reporter: you can see firefighters remain on the scene, restoration crews are here, as well, five families are being assisted by red cross and a dog. >> katherine a fast-moving fire damaged a house if philadelphia that broke out in the kensington section. firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the two story house. they were able to get the fire under control in 15 minutes. the house appears to be vacant. no word on a cause. homicide detectives are searching for a killer of a 19-year-old who was driving around philadelphia. he was shot in the chest and ended up crashing is car at soth an dauphin streets.
