field street, the nurse found him on 5th street where he managed to run before collapsing. the nurse applied a tourniquet and called for help. police are trying to identify a suspect and motive for the shooting. >> police are searching for the a suspect after an argument got out of control and led to the shooting of four people. three are innocent victims. it started in the city's feltonville section. police say two neighbors got into an argument, one of them called a friend for help. a car pulled up an began firing shots. a neighbor was struck in the leg and ran off. the gunman follows or whitiker avenue and continues to fire his gun as two separate vehicles pass by, bullets strike three people inside the car. one man was shot in the head and is in critical condition. >> inside his car was his wife and two children, both girls

ages 6 months and 6 years. they were in the back seat. thank god they were not hit. >> two others who were injured by stray bullets are in stable condition. police have taken the two neighbors who were fighting into custody, they are looking at surveillance video in that area in hopes of identifying the gunman. a tourist was brutally beaten while trying to help a group of women in philadelphia's popular rittenhouse square this weekend. police are hoping surveillance video leads them to the man's attacker. annie mccormick has the details. >> central detectives back in rittenhouse square saturday scouring the area for surveillance video at the intersection of 18th and wall up in the. you could see the blood at the scene where police say before 3:00 a.m., a 35-year-old texas man was punched and knocked to the ground unconscious as he was

development. >> reporter: sources tell "action news" that the victim's husband christopher murray has been charged in his wife's death. the source said that murray confessed to strangling his wife last monday night. last tuesday morning, connie murray a mother of two from northeast philadelphia was found dead in pennypack park she had been strangled. investigators spent days looking for evidence and conducting interviews. the source told "action news" at the time, his story did not add up. he was brought in for questioning and confessed. he had gotten into a fight and connie murray went out for a walk, he salt on the bench and -- he sat on the bench waiting for her and the argument continued and he blacked out and strangled his wife. back to you, eva.

>> a nurse happened to pass by and help a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound in north philadelphia. the man was shot on the 400 block of west clear field street at 5:15. the nurse found him on 5th street where he managed to run before collapsing. the nurse applied a tourniquet and called tore help. police are trying to identify a suspect and motive for the case. philadelphia police are searching for suspects after an argument got out of control and led to the shooting of four people, three of them, innocent victims. it started on the 4800 block of tampa street in feltonville after 11:30. two neighbors got into an argument, one of them called a friend for help. the car pulse you mean and -- the car pulls up and shoots the neighbor in the leg he runs off. he continues to follow shooting

his gun. bullets strike three people inside the cars, one man was struck in the head and is in critical condition. >> inside his car was his wife and two children, both girls, ages 6 months and 6 years in the back seat. thank god they were not hit. >> two others hit by stray bullets are in stable condition. police took the two neighbors into custody. they are looking for the gunman. a tourist was beaten while defending a group of woman in popular rittenhouse square this weekend. >> reporter: central detectives back in rittenhouse square saturday scouring the area for surveillance video at the intersection of 18th and walnut. you could still see blood at the scene where police say at 3:00 a.m., a 39-year-old texas man visiting philadelphia was

punched and knocked to the ground unconscious after defending a group of women who were getting harassed from people in a passing car. the victim is in the hanheman hospital with concussion and other injuries. >> you don't know what to expect. >> it's awful, but -- someone will be afraid to help in the future and it's a shame. >> reporter: saturday locals and visitors in the square reacted to the crime that would just as the busy bars and restaurants were closing. >> that's terrible. someone is trying to help someone out. >> reporter: police believe several people were in the vehicle, but only one got out and punched the victim. the only description the police have is a black nissan with delaware plates. >> reporter: that victim is expected to remain in the hospital until at least

industry in recent time that an ambulance has been stolen. >> another ambulance in western berks was stolen. the ambulance stopped after spikes were laid down by police. fountain faces a string of felony charges. from our delaware newsroom a man is behind bars and charged with breaking into 6 different homes in newark. police say 36-year-old william martin targeted the tree lane tier ace and lafayette langtd townhouses. investigators linked martin to the crimes after they caught him using a credit card that was taken from one of the victims. >> the eagles will hit the practice field this afternoon following friday's loss to chicago. it's their final public practice and it will be before a sellout crowd at franklin field where the birds won the nfl tidal in 1960. a statue of chuck bednaric where
