as we look ahead the entire pattern is going to change. we are checking sunshine today and tomorrow. another cold front slams through, this will produce heavy, drenching downpours, tuesday into wednesday, there could flooding issues wednesday morning and cool down by the week's end. i'll have that in the seven day in just a bit. >> philadelphia police have questioned a person of interest in connection with the murders of connie murray. her body was discovered in pennypack park, tuesday morning. murray went out for a run monday night and never returned home. the 46-year-old mother married mother of two was strangled. police have questioned someone, but no charges have been filed. a $51,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. a nurse happen to be passing by when she saw a man suffering from a gun shot wound in north philadelphia. the man was shot on west clear

field street, the nurse found him on 5th street where he managed to run before collapsing. the nurse applied a tourniquet and called for help. police are trying to identify a suspect and motive for the shooting. >> police are searching for the a suspect after an argument got out of control and led to the shooting of four people. three are innocent victims. it started in the city's feltonville section. police say two neighbors got into an argument, one of them called a friend for help. a car pulled up an began firing shots. a neighbor was struck in the leg and ran off. the gunman follows or whitiker avenue and continues to fire his gun as two separate vehicles pass by, bullets strike three people inside the car. one man was shot in the head and is in critical condition. >> inside his car was his wife and two children, both girls

ages 6 months and 6 years. they were in the back seat. thank god they were not hit. >> two others who were injured by stray bullets are in stable condition. police have taken the two neighbors who were fighting into custody, they are looking at surveillance video in that area in hopes of identifying the gunman. a tourist was brutally beaten while trying to help a group of women in philadelphia's popular rittenhouse square this weekend. police are hoping surveillance video leads them to the man's attacker. annie mccormick has the details. >> central detectives back in rittenhouse square saturday scouring the area for surveillance video at the intersection of 18th and wall up in the. you could see the blood at the scene where police say before 3:00 a.m., a 35-year-old texas man was punched and knocked to the ground unconscious as he was

schl -- channel 6 "action news." >> a man was rescued from the delaware river. police are trying to figure out how he ended up in the water. philadelphia police marine unit responded to the scene of the man in the water at 7:30. they found the man in the water at penns landing. they were able to pull him out of the water uninjured. a man is behind bars in berks county after allegedly stealing an ambulance. the emergency vehicle was stolen outside of the abraham lincoln hotel at 5th and washington in reading yesterday morning. medic also left it running while -- medics left it running when they were treating a patient inside. 47-year-old kevin fountain got in and fled off. >> that's the last vehicle you would think someone would steal, but it's the second time in the city in recent time that an ambulance was stolen.

another ambulance was stolen in march of last year. the ambulance stopped after running over spikes that had been laid down police. fountain faces a string of felony charges. from our delaware newsroom, a man is behind bars and charged with breaking into 6 different homes in newark. 36-year-old william martin targeted the tree lane terrace and lafayette landing townhouses. in one case he forced his way inside and assaulted the homeowners. he was link the to the crimes after he used a credit card taken from one of the victims. >> the eagles will hit the practice field following friday's loss to chicago, it's their final public practice it will be before a sellout crowd at the field where the birds won the nfl title in 18960.

development. >> reporter: sources tell "action news" that the victim's husband christopher murray has been charged in his wife's death. the source said that murray confessed to strangling his wife last monday night. last tuesday morning, connie murray a mother of two from northeast philadelphia was found dead in pennypack park she had been strangled. investigators spent days looking for evidence and conducting interviews. the source told "action news" at the time, his story did not add up. he was brought in for questioning and confessed. he had gotten into a fight and connie murray went out for a walk, he salt on the bench and -- he sat on the bench waiting for her and the argument continued and he blacked out and strangled his wife. back to you, eva.

>> a nurse happened to pass by and help a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound in north philadelphia. the man was shot on the 400 block of west clear field street at 5:15. the nurse found him on 5th street where he managed to run before collapsing. the nurse applied a tourniquet and called tore help. police are trying to identify a suspect and motive for the case. philadelphia police are searching for suspects after an argument got out of control and led to the shooting of four people, three of them, innocent victims. it started on the 4800 block of tampa street in feltonville after 11:30. two neighbors got into an argument, one of them called a friend for help. the car pulse you mean and -- the car pulls up and shoots the neighbor in the leg he runs off. he continues to follow shooting

his gun. bullets strike three people inside the cars, one man was struck in the head and is in critical condition. >> inside his car was his wife and two children, both girls, ages 6 months and 6 years in the back seat. thank god they were not hit. >> two others hit by stray bullets are in stable condition. police took the two neighbors into custody. they are looking for the gunman. a tourist was beaten while defending a group of woman in popular rittenhouse square this weekend. >> reporter: central detectives back in rittenhouse square saturday scouring the area for surveillance video at the intersection of 18th and walnut. you could still see blood at the scene where police say at 3:00 a.m., a 39-year-old texas man visiting philadelphia was

punched and knocked to the ground unconscious after defending a group of women who were getting harassed from people in a passing car. the victim is in the hanheman hospital with concussion and other injuries. >> you don't know what to expect. >> it's awful, but -- someone will be afraid to help in the future and it's a shame. >> reporter: saturday locals and visitors in the square reacted to the crime that would just as the busy bars and restaurants were closing. >> that's terrible. someone is trying to help someone out. >> reporter: police believe several people were in the vehicle, but only one got out and punched the victim. the only description the police have is a black nissan with delaware plates. >> reporter: that victim is expected to remain in the hospital until at least

for the last several days. le we have two more good ones coming up before the weather turns downhill. that will be in the form of a cold front. that counter clockwise swirl near bitz mark that will -- bismarck that will turn east and gathered strength out of the gulf of mexico and atlantic and deposit it on the delaware valley in the form of drenching downpours. come monday we'll see an increase in high clouds by afternoon, tuesday those clouds lower and thicken by 10:30, the model has a few showers breaking out. by afternoon we'll see showers and thunderstorms erupt and heavier downpours get in here later at night into wednesday morning, you can see the oranges and reds that's where we would be picking up the heaviest downpours at this point. forecast models indicating anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain with the system when all is said and done. the poconos, 78 degrees is the forecasted high.
