katherine scott is live at police headquarters with the latest details. >> reporter: that's right, eva, police source said 48-year-old husband of the victim has been charged in his wife's death. police sources say that murray strangled wife and confessed to do doing it after an argument turned physical. after days of questioning homicide detective's have answer. a source told "action news" the mother of two connie murray of northeast philadelphia, died at the hand of her husband, christopher murray. her body was found early tuesday morning in pennypack park. an autopsy revealed she had been strangled. investigators looked for evidence and conducted interviews. part his story didn't add up. the source said murray told police the couple had gotten into a fight monday and connie had gone out for a walk. he followed her and they sat on a bench to talk.

the argument turned physical and that's when the source said he blacked out and strangled her. a press conference is being held here in a half-hour. passed by. three people in these cars were hit. up with driver was shot in the head and in critical condition. inside his car was his wife and two children, both girls ages 6 months and 6 years, they were in the back seat, thank god they were not hit. >> now the other two hit by stray bullets were passengers in one of the other cars. they are in stable condition. police have taken two persons of interest into custody. they are looking at surveillance video in the area in hopes of identifying the gunman. we're learning more this noon about the u.s. military airstrikes on islamic militants in iraq. there were four airstrikes yesterday three within a half-hour and one later in the day, the target? islamic militants who have been surrounding a mountain refusing to allow tens tens of thousandsf religious refugees to escape. an international coalition is buildings to try to get food and
