this noon, a local volunteer firefighter faces arson charges. we'll have edales in a live report. >> and more troubles for atlantic city, its newest casino announced it will be closing its doors. >> but the big story this after floon is rain and the oh pension for flooding around the region today. sky 6 hd looking at a cloudy, dreary center city skyline. the sunny skies we have enjoyed are now gone. lets head down to the jersey shore and look at cape may, you can see rain drops on the camera, the shore will get on and off precipitation throughout the day. you'll need the rain gear because you can encounter drenching downpours any time during this tuesday. meteorologist, karen rogers is here for david at the "action news" big board. >> hi rick, you know we were looking at that camera shot in cape may, and people are still on the beach but now is the time to pack it in.

we have rain there in cape may, as we look at stormtracker 6 live double scan we have nothing more than a sprinkle or two in the city itself but areas of yellow indicate heavier rain and we see that west of philadelphia, we go in tighter and take a look at that. it's lifting to the northeast and moving slowly as we zoom into some of these areas, near coatesville, you are getting wet in malvern and norristown and quakertown and this particular area, we have quite a bit of rain already this morning. although little in the city of philadelphia, this shows the 24 hour precipitation rates, over the past few hours this shows an inch to inch and a half near pottstown and 0 near norristown, and philadelphia. this little bull's-eye we had training of heavier cells going in the same area over of over. some spots we have already seen

police station the grove street. that is where katherine scott joins us live. >> reporter: sara, police believe that a high caliber handgun was used in this shooting and four officers were on duty at the time and only one was inside of the station, a 19-year veteran that just walked in and heard the shots and took cover. most of the shots hit the door and another ricochetted through the office and the search is now on for the person responsible. >> this morning investigators were digging bullets out of the side door of the west depford police station, the door used mainly by their officers, seven shots hit the station this morning. the mayor was notified immediately. >> an attack on the police department is an attack on the community. >> one through this drain pipe

and one through the deputy chief's office. >> this one went through the window. >> surveillance cameras shows this dark sedan making two passes. you can't see the shots being fired from the vehicle but this is the vehicle that police are looking for. >> we have concerned that there was two passes made. they were comfortable enough, whether they fired on the first pass or not, they were comfortable enough to go through another pass. >> one corporal heard the shots. >> we have no threats that led up to this incident. nothing that was out of ordinary last night over the overnight shift but we'll look back over the previous couple of weeks. >> back live, you are looking at the bullet holes in the door, the police benevolent association is offering a $3,000

6 abc. >> thank you kirk for that report. abc news will have a special 20/20 program honoring the life of robin williams, it's called remembering robin williams, hosted by david muir. and 6abc.com has extensive coverage of the death of robin williams as well, a slideshow spanning the comedian's career and we gather reaction from other celebrities. back here in delaware county, a volunteer firefighter is accused of setting fire to homes that he was suppose to help save. the firefighter appeared in court on arson charges. with the goodwill fire department and today he stands accused of setting three fires in the past several months and responding with his fire department to put them out and the worst alligation is that he enlisted a minor to help him. what makes this particularly sad is when corcoran was a little boy he would hang around the police department and the fire department, he would hang around saying he wanted to grow up and be a public servanservant. >> this is surprising we knew this guy since he was a kid and to be part of the force that fights those fires it's kind of sad to see someone go that route. >> corcoran faces charges of risking a catastrophe and

♪ meet me at sesame place! the investigation continues into an early morning accident that injured two people, the crash happened at the intersection of belmont avenue in bala cynwyd, two vehicles collided during the morning rush and both drivers were sent to the hospital. two people jumped from this second floor of this row home. the flames gutted this home early this morning and all three people that jumped were treated by medics and were taken to the hospital, they suffered bruises and smoke inhalation and the blaze damaged two neighboring homes. an iraqi helicopter crashed while delivering aid to refugees

on the mountain top. secretary of state, john kerry, says that the united states is preparing more aid for the kurdish militia. the u.s. is also continuing its air strikes, urging iraq's prime minister to quickly form a more inclusive government. a spanish priest that was infected by the ebola virus has now died. the hospital in madrid confirmed he died. he was being treated with the experimental drug e max, the same drug being given to two americans in atlanta. the world health organization says they believe the virus has infected 1800 people

to say. >> she had a great time. >> we need the rain, at least it's happening during the work week. >> lets look at stormtracker 6 live double scan, around the region right now, and you can see with our double scan radar, we do have some heavy rain in spots, if philadelphia and much of new jersey we are dry, we have heavier areas, can you tell by the areas of yellow we are seeing, you got it in chadds ford, and route 1, in malvern, areas that are getting hit harder, and up near pottstown, near 422 getting particularly wet there. and most of the city is blanketed in with light rain mixing in. this is just the beginning of it. lets head outside, chopper 6 was flying up above, as we look in hd, a considerable amount of rainfall so far, but in

philadelphia, our area is getting hit pretty good. 79 degrees, cooler than it would normally be, the dew point is up there and you feel the humidity and moisture in the atmosphere associated with this. the winds out of the south-southeast sustained at so miles per hour, the pressure is dropping 29.97 and the wind in philadelphia sustained, at 10 to 15 miles per hour and philadelphia you are warmer and philadelphia 82 and 73 in allentown and 72 right now in reading. >> lets look at the wind gusts in the region, while it's just sustained in philadelphia, 26 miles per hour wind gusts in millville, how about dover, 28 miles per hour wind gusts with the rain they are getting, feeling nasty, gusts at the shore at 20 miles per hour. here is the rain, on satellite 6 along with action radar showing it's coming in and blanketing

the region, heavier rain, they have flash flood warnings, they have a couple of inches of rain, the edge of the front out to the west, we are dealing with this for a while and future tracker 6 showing the heightened activity later on, and at 3:00 you see downpours in the region, especially south of the city, this is your drive time at 5:30, the periods of rain going through the nighttime and this is 6:00 in the morning, tomorrow morning's commute we'll be watching this rain exit at that point. as periods of rain, some of it heavy at times, watching that through the day, here is a look at your exclusive accuweather forecast, periods of rain and 79 for your high and tomorrow could start off wet with clouds and 83 and the rest of the forecast is great, thursday less humid and 80 and friday mostly sunny skies and 79th saturday beautiful and
