that damaged cars in a philadelphia neighborhood and intruders target the home of connie murray just days after she is murdered in pennypack park. and the big news is the cleanup after flooding in parts of new jersey. people had to be rescued in millville, cumberland county. the flooding has now receded and we are getting a look at the damage, and lets begin our coverage with karen rogers with a look at the rain totals overnight. >> that is right stormtracker 6 live double scan showing us we are dry right now. lets look at these numbers as we watch this rain progress. in allentown, not a lot of just over an inch in philadelphia.

but newcastle, delaware, 2.5 inches of rain fell. we are looking at significant totals in new jersey, just under 9 inches of rain at the millville airport in cumberland county, new jersey, things are changing now and it's all off the coastline, in cumberland and parts of atlantic and ocean county new jersey, satellite 6 showing the rain in motion showing the rain as it moved out of here to the north and east. we were socked in clouds and now we'll see partly sunny skies and some clouds are still down at the shore. how will it feel today, it's rather humid, with dew points between 65 and 70 degrees currently through the area. that is lower and feeling a bit more comfortable out there right now. if you are headed to the big

of an officer today. seth stelfox crashed his motorcycle on the pennsylvania turnpike yesterday on the turnpike. police say the officer was off duty at the time and the crash remains under investigation by state police. rescuers were called to this block in burlington, ocean county, the first floor collapsed into the basement. they heard a noise during storm but couldn't figure out what it was, when they looked this morning, they saw the foundation in the front of their home gave way, and they are shoring up the home to prevent further collapse. a woman crashed her car into a business in newcastle county, and it shows the damage to the music and art store in mill vehicle. police are trying to figure out why the driver lost control, she

was rescued from her vehicle and taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. police are investigating the home of connie murray, she was found dead in pennypack park last week. her husband christopher confessed to strangling her during an argument. both suspects were taken into custody as they were leaving the property. several people woke up to find their tires slashed into northeast philadelphia, about 10 cars were damaged on the 5800 block of north akron street. so far they have not named any suspects. philadelphia is making its pitch today to host the democratic national convention in 2016, mayor michael nutter, senator rendell greeted the delegates in center city. the city is one of five bidding

to host the convention along with birmingham, columbus and brooklyn and phoenix, arizona. meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of people are packing the boardwalk in atlantic city as the 12th annual air show gets underway, "action news" reporter amy buckman is live in the middle of all the action with the latest. >> reporter: you can see that the boardwalk is crowded with folks waiting for the airplanes to begin flying over head, the weather last night was not great but today the sun is out and the only thunder we'll hear is that from the planes over the boardwalk. >> by midmorning, the boardwalk was filled with people carrying their blankets and chairs and cooler, ready to see the acrobatics, and of course the thunderbirds, they were not part of the show last year because of

the u.s. is reportedly considering an air evacuation for refugees forced out because of fighting in iraq, in the meantime france is sending weapons to extremist, fights in iraq. and there is the possibility of sending a force there as well. the united states has performed several air strikes and sent troops to act as -- police used tear gas to disperse crowds that congregated to press for answers on brown's death. the teen was killed by an officer on saturday. the fbi is investigating the shooting. two men are now claiming responsibility for the flag swap on the brooklyn bridge, the german artists told the new york time that they replaced the
