will there be 1300 layoffs. we are expected to get answer from the superintendent this morning. the school district of philadelphia had been counting on 2-dollar a pack cigarette sales tax to get more funding. last month, republican house legislators failed to reach a vote. the governor will advance the district $265 million, but the district already budgeted that money and the superintendent said that won't resolve the deficit. school is supposed to start september 8 and whether it will and what school will look like when it comes to class size and the employees are some of the confess they have. some elected officials call the situation unacceptable. >> the fact that our kids, 200,000 of them, whether they been in charter -- whether they be in charter schools or regular
