tonight is jury finding benson of raping, finding benson of raping and sexually assaulting ten girls, he could be sentenced to 80 years behind bars, and "action news" reporter wendy saltsman is live outside the bucks county courthouse in doylestown. wendy, what are the details here. >> reporter: jim, in closing arguments today the defense tried to claim that these were consensual sex acts but a jury difficulties a agreed. they found 19 year-old joshua benson guilty on all counts for ten assaults against teenage girls aging in age from 14 to 17 over a two year period. joshua benson's trial which began on monday came to a quick close with all ten victims testifying that they toll him to stop but that his aggressive sexual attacks persisted. >> the jury clearly believed the testimony of these girls, and found the defendant guilty, on all charges, and insured that the public would be safe from him, and called

him what he called himself a rapist. >> reporter: initially benson was charge as a juvenile for assaulting five girls when he was a teenager. but then he was charge as an adult as more victims stepped forward when he turn 18 describing a horrible crime spree that range from april of 2011 to may of 2013. >> you don't think he raped these women? >> i don't think so. i don't think he thought he was. i don't really think because it was consensual. >> reporter: back in november benson's mother gave this exclusive interview to six abc but she didn't want to be identified after receiving several threats. she defend her son saying that he too had been a victim of sexual assault and suffered from depression and other mental issues. >> heart wrenching, it happened to him, and i want people to know that he has had something happen to him too. >> reporter: that testimony was part of the trial but prosecutors say that everyone is safe now with benson behind bars.
