into the sky line as sunset on a beautiful day from ocean city to ventnor the perfect weather drew beach crowds. >> fabulous, beautiful weather. we came to sit on the beach and talk. >> friday night the ocean city boardwalk was hot spot for food, fun and family time. >> i'm just excited to be here with my little sister she loves rides and she's a little scared about them i help her on the way. >> little isabel loved every minute and matchy's like so many other shore lovers are taking it all in as we say good-bye to summer. >> enough said. we're not looking forward to the end of it. just the next year or two. >> it's 11:00 what are you doing up it's still summer. with me i have a life-size taffy. mr. taffy from slibers we have our first things to eat through the summer and monica we have three days because summer is not over yet.

live in ocean city, new jersey, annie mccormick, "channel 6 action news." >> thank you. the weather may be fine but there is a cloud happening over the shore this holiday weekend. some 6,000 casino workers are set to lose their jobs in the next few days with show boat setting days sunday and rebel unwinding operations monday and tuesday and trump plaza closes september 18. and quarter of atlantic city casino workforce will be laid off. the state is considering one year mortgage payment extensions for the laid-off workers to minimize for closures and governor chris christie set to hold a summit september 8 to discussion other strategies a job training program in october and glimmer of hope, though, comes from credit rating agency fitch which says it does not for see any more casino closings for

but for those living near the parkway, this is what people are experiencing. gridlock and it's been going on for days. this woman who did not want to be named is fed up. >> we're held prisoner for july 4th weekend every year. and we sort of had to adapt to that and now the same thing is happening every year over labor day weekend. >> reporter: but the event is big business. the city estimate it pumps $10 million into the philadelphia economy last year and some residents and business owners love it. >> the parking is tough i like. it i'll go in surprised and check it out. i was there last year had a good time. >> a lot of people walking a round. we get a lot of walk ins and slices and cheese steaks and you know everything else. >> so you like it. >> of course. >> reporter: this year's event is not exclusive to philadelphia. a sister concert is being staged in los angeles organizeers say the two will complement each other. >> you'll actually be able toy watch the la event happening
