murphy. >> little tough in the classroom this afternoon where you don't have air conditioning but i'm sure the fans will be going. right now we've got dry conditions out there. had a little bit of a shower out to the west that died down overnight. there are more clouds that will increase as the day goes on and as we get later into the afternoon and especially this evening we could see another round those drenching showers and thunderstorms. couple evenings. 77 in philadelphia right now. and it does still feel muggy out there. we have not gotten the front come through to remove that very humid air in place that we experienced over the last couple days. 72 in allentown, 76 in sea isle city so everybody warm. as we head out the door this morning, look for muggy conditions. 75 degrees by 6:00 and 78 degrees by 8:00 a.m. we are quickly going to see those numbers climb this morning. and this afternoon it is going to be hot and steamy again. 81 by 9 o'clock, 89 by noon and then by 3 o'clock, 94 degrees. that's your high today. it will probably feel like it's more like 100 degrees with the high humidity. and then zipping back down

into the upper 80's by 6 o'clock. during the afternoon and especially this evening some pop-up showers and thunderstorms are possible. i'll have more on that on future tracker 6 coming up, matt. >> thanks, david. the enormous process of closing an enormous casino and hotel in atlantic city is almost complete. this is a live look at the soon to be shuttered revel casino and hotel. the hotel shut down began yesterday. gamblers at the revel have less than two hours to finish pulling the slots as the casino shut down begins at 6:00 a.m. the $2 billion plus project is the latest in a line of gambling halls going belly up. "action news" reporter kenneth moton has more. >> reporter: on this clear but humid night down the shore, those lights lit up the atlantic city boardwalk and this marvel of a building that's about the go dark. >> they did put so much money into it and now it's closing and it did so little for the city anyway. it just seems to be a big waste. >> reporter: monday revelers made eight party during the final hours of revel.

this 40 story glass tower, state of the art hotel and casino filled with high end shops and restaurants is ac's $2 billion failure. >> this little party is okay but at the end of the day a lot of people are going to be home trying to figure out how they'll be paying their rent. >> reporter: in the shadow of revel there's showboat which closed sunday. trump plaza is next which inn two weeks. thousands out of a job like john watts who worked his last night at revel. >> very serious. usually have fun, goof off and everything but we took it very serious, did our jobs in and out. >> reporter: we found people who were here for the opening taking one last look inside. susan says her sister-in-law brought her here for a surprise visit. >> it was remarkable. we saw a view of everything. it was just amazing. >> reporter: monday morning revel's hotel checked out its remaining guests but the

casino won't stop the gaming until 6:00 a.m. tuesday. for those looking to strike a little luck in this unlucky building. what are you hoping for this building. >> that it stays the way it is as beautiful as it is and they get somebody to reopen this placement with four casino closures in one year next week governor chris christie will hold a bipartisan summit of state and local leaders to snus this city's future. reporting in atlantic city, kenneth moton, channel 6 "action news." >> atlantic city has seen the total revenue of its casino industry nearly cut in half since 2006. it from $5.2 billion to under $2.9 billion in the last year. pennsylvania launched gambling in 2006 and has grown from a $450 million industry to a $3 billion industry in the last fiscal year eclipsing atlantic city and clearly stealing business. >> freshmen have orientation this morning at council rock south high school in bucks county and the school will also be mourning three sophomores killed in a weekend crash.

ryan lesher cullen keffer and shamus digney died in a rollover wreck in wayne county. council rock is providing grief counseling at today's orientation for students of all grades. lesher keffer and dig knee were involved in sports and other activities. >> three bright lights, three tremendous individuals who shared their gifts and talents with council rock high school south and those bright lights were extinguished way too soon. >> the first day of school for sophomores and upperclassmen in council sock tomorrow. there will be a special assembly for students at main line regional high school this morning. after a crash involving five soccer players. 14-year-old aisling cooke is on life support. her four teammates are out of the hospital. a pickup truck crossed into their lane on route 40 in hamilton township on saturday as they were headed to a soccer tournament. their school year starts thursday. >> new this morning, a late night shooting in the city's tioga nicetown section left a

man injured. the victim was shot twice in the arm along the 1700 block of west bristol street. he was rushed by car to temple university hospital before police even arrived at the scene. who shot him and why are still unanswered questions. someone spent the labor day vandalizing about 10 vehicles along f street in the city's olney section. most had broken windshields with a canvas on that truck also cut. a neighbor recalled hearing someone with what sounded like a chain walking down the street early yesterday morning. residents say vandalism incidents happen all too often there. police are checking surveillance videos for clues. >> the trial of christina regusters is expected to resume this morning in center city. she's accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young child. the girl was taken from bryant elementary. prosecutors say the child was blindfolded and sexually attacked in regusters home before being abandoned half naked at a park. the girl testified she heard a

bird talking in the home and that tip led police to regusters home. inside there was a bird cursing out police. regusters had met the girl two years earlier while working at a day care. several hollywood stars are caught up in a nude photo scandal both the fbi and apple are trying the find out how nude photos of several female celebrities have ended up on the internet. "action news" reporter erin o'hearn is at the big board with the very latest on this scandal. good morning. >> good morning. as you said the fbi is now investigating this massive hacking scandal which includes big a list names including jennifer lawrence and arianna grande. a user on the photo shop posted the photos on sunday after hackers gained access to i cloud. it's supposed to keep users information and media private. apple said it has fixed the bug that allowed hackers to access the program but the

damage seems to be done and the stars are angry. lawrence's rep has said that the photographs are real and that this is "a flagrant violation of privacy." kate upton was also a victim. after a nude photograph of the bombshell of her and her boyfriend. >> celebritys are more vulnerable because their photos are more valuable. >> even if you have deleted photos from your phone oftentimes they already have been uploaded into the cloud and when you delete them from the phone they continue to exist. >> one industry expert is actually calling this photo leak a sex crime, not a scandal because it involves the theft of personal property and the exploitation of the female body but matt as we hear over and over, once it's out there, it's out there. there's not much you can do about it to get it back. >> that's the sad part about it. thank you. the taney dragons have added another accolade to

the unfortunate thing is not all schools in our area have air conditioning. >> yeah. >> so it's going to be a really hot day especially in the afternoon for kids returning to school. >> like on the sunny side of the building in particular i think but i think most of the classrooms have fans. they'll be having those running today. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows you we're dry this morning. as we take a look outside we have the action cam live in atlantic city and a muggy morning there. you can even see a little bit of the haze in that light over the boardwalk. as we take a look at conditions outside right now, we are looking at 77 degrees in philadelphia. so, we haven't lost a whole heck of a lot of that heat from yesterday and your dewpoint is above 70 and that

is what we consider oppressive humidity. it will feel worse once the sun comes up. not much relief from the wind either. a west-southwest wind at just 7 miles per hour. dewpoints across the region, i don't have anybody outside of the poconos and lancaster who don't have 70-degree dewpoints or better, so oppressive air across the region this morning. satellite and radar showing up on future tracker 6 and you can see how we are going to see a sweep of clouds every now and then through the day. we'll probably see some sunshine early and up into the early afternoon doesn't look like we have to worry about any rain. however, the later we get into the day and especially this evening there is the chance of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm that could produce a drenching downpour just like we had the last couple of days. can't rule out something a little gusty as well. looks like after about 11 o'clock, we're beginning to see this die down although even then adam and cecily might have something should show our and roid dar. 78 degrees by 8 o'clock and by 11 o'clock already up into the mid 80's.

then we spend a good portion of the afternoon in the 90's. your high of 94 around 3 o'clock and then by 5 o'clock 90 degrees and i think there's a better and better chance of showers and thunderstorms the later you get into the afternoon and into the evening. they'll start out in the west. 94 in philadelphia today. and just about everybody in the 90's. the the exception would be down the shore where you're going to stop in the mid to upper 80's. hot and humid across most of the region. warm and humid down the shore. and that late thunderstorm chance exists. as we take a look at tomorrow, though, yeah, a little cloud cover possible in the morning but things just really open up as we have a front that goes off the coast and tomorrow will feel a lot better not as humid and as hot. your seven-day, hot and humid today, no doubt about that. 94 degrees is your forecast high and we have that chance of a late day or evening thunderstorm. tomorrow less humid, 88 in the afternoon, still warm. really nice weather for the union who are at home against the toronto, big matchup there on wednesday night. and then thursday sunny and warm, 88 degrees and friday, sunny and hot, 90 but in through here we're not

expecting the humidity to be all that bad. on saturday, the humidity starts to come back as a warm front passes through. a high of 88 degrees. it will be a shower or a thunderstorm possible and then on sunday, partly sunny overall, 80 the high and maybe still a little bit muggy for the eagles home opener. we do have another chance of a late day or night time shower or thunderstorm but it looks like there's a good chance that that will be after the 1 o'clock eagles game. >> that's good. thanks, david. the manhunt continues for the so-called ak-47 ban dip. he's wanted for a slew of bank robberies in four different states across country. authorities believe he could be a former law enforcement officer or exmilitary. authorities believe his robbery spree began two years ago in california and most recently they think he made off with a duffle bag full of cash from a bank in nebraska. an unsuccess fuss full ice bucket challenge in europe left a man in critical condition. the photographer arrange d to

have a firefighting plane dump nearly 400 gallons of water over him. the deluge from just 22 feet above ground knocked him unconscious. doctors say the man luckily did not suffer any internal injuries. >> trying to take a first look at business here. talking and texting while you drive can be dangerous you shouldn't do it but people do. general motor center city launching the first vehicle mass produced car with eye and head tracking technology. what it will do is it will be able to tell whether drivers are distracted, are they on the phone are they texting and alert them to dangers coming ahead. talking now about apple, they're expected to unveil that new iphone this month with a tough new sapphire display. the screen is reportedly very strong and scratch resistent. it could cost you $100 more than a regular iphone but one video blogger said you won't need to go get one of those screen protects any which take forever any more and all the bubbles and trouble, you can just buy the

delays or weather related delays. up and down the east coast we're thinking later on today could see some thundershower activity. that's including here in philadelphia all the way up to boston down to atlanta. again that's later on today. shouldn't abproblem this morning. florida, though, usual thundershower activity could break out at any point as well as houston. dallas as you see here not noted so dallas looks good for flying. in the midwest only detroit is the place that we could see some thundershower activity. chicago and minneapolis should be okay. you see those thundershowers moving across the midwestern -- or the mid portion of the country and then finally out here along the west coast san francisco and lax could see some low cloud cover and that should dissipate in the afternoon should be okay for flying to california after that. tam, back to you. >> thank you, matt. new this morning a landslide in spokane washington carried a vault holing a casket about 12 feet down a hill and what officials are describing as a freak accident. the ground at the fairmount memorial park there in spokane gave way over the weekend.

crews row moved and temporarily relocated the casket and its vault. a witness says the slide could be weather related. the family of the deceased have been notified. >> this is also a new, a fight broke out at a pennsylvania wedding over the weekend and several people were arrested including the groom and an off duty state trooper. the bride and groom got married on the gateway clipper in pittsburgh on sunday. police say the groom began harassing a female server on board the clipper. when the boat docked, the server's boyfriend confronted the groom and a fight ensued. during the fight, another man punched out the window of a parked car. the groom's brother an off duty state trooper also arrested for their part in the fight along with obstructing law enforcement and resisting arrest. >> truly an evening to remember. it is 4:53. all new in the next half hour of "action news" arc woman on the run after three -- a three county crime spree in virginia has been caught in south jersey. we'll give you the details. >> the wedding of angelina

>> new on "action news," a colorado woman who was texting crashed her truck and then became impaled by a metal pole. christina janes was left with a metal guardrail piercing through her thigh. the mom had just dropped her
