"action news" is tracking your back to school forecast. >> the fallout continues from the release of stolen celebrity cyber photos. the release of stolen >> good morning, it's 5:30 on this tuesday september 2nd. we will see those blue bus -- yellow buses all over the lehigh and delaware valleys. let's go to david murphy. he'll tell was to expect with accuweather and karen rogers has that traffic. good morning. >> all right, guys we're off to a muggy start this morning. if you have been outside the last couple days you know that we have been dealing with a lot of high heat and humidity. there's more of the same today. we'll see a fair amount of sunshine early on and eventually a front gets closer. some of these clouds start to fill in and we will see some late day or evening showers or thunderstorms out of that system as well. 77 degrees right now. very muggy outside. 70's in allentown. 74 in wilmington. 76 in sea isle city.

and as we head out the door to catch the school bus this morning for some of you for the first time, expect to it stay on the muggy side. mainly clear and muggy early, 75 by 6 o'clock and 78 degrees by 8:00 a.m. this morning. as we roll through the day it's going to be another hot one. 81 by 9 o'clock. by noon up close to 90 and we're in the 90's for several hours this afternoon including that high of 94 and we'll hit that at about 3 o'clock. 88 by 6 o'clock. there is the chance of a late day and especially evening shower or thunderstorm. some of those could produce drenching downpours. karen i'll have more on that coming up in that future tracker 6 view. >> all right, dave, we're live on the schuylkill expressway early on a tuesday morning approaching spring garden street. no delays coming from conshohocken or gladwyne, looking good. martin luther king drive reopened after the closure over the weekend for the made in america festivities. let's go to the action cam. one of the big closures has been the ben franklin parkway at eakins oval as we look live not seeing any traffic. we're seeing lights on flash

but police are telling us they have reopened the ben franklin parkway and lifted the restrictions so better news as you're headed out the door right now. looking on the big picture here we're seeing speeds on the blue route, schuylkill, i-95 all in pretty good shape. construction blocks the two right lanes on the ben franklin bridge westbound so you got to watch for that as you're coming into the city and we do have this accident early this hour, amity township in berks county on 422 near 662 so watch for that accident and i told you a little bit ago about police activity that was here in pottstown on high street and beech street but they just cleared that so things are looking a little better. don't forget the ramp connecting 422 eastbound with armand hammer boulevard they will close and that's going to last for a little while, tam. >> thank you karen. grief counselors will be on hand at council rock high school south today as freshmen arrive for student orientation. the bucks county school opened its doors on labor day to offer assistance to students and staff coping with the loss of three high school sophomores over the weekend. ryan lesher cullen keffer and

shamus digney were killed in a rollover crash on saturday in the poconos. the school community is remembering all three as bright young men who were involved in a number of sports and activities. >> it's just three bright lights, three tremendous individuals who shared their gifts and talents with council rock high school south and those bright lights were extinguished way too soon. >> counselors remain on campus tomorrow as the entire student body returns for the first day of class. >> students in south jersey will gather today in support of several classmates who were also involved in a weekend car crash. the special assembly happens today at mainland regional high school. five soccer players were injured when a pickup truck crossed into their lane on route 40 in hamilton township atlantic county on saturday. 14-year-old aisling cooke is on life support. her four teammates are out of the hospital. mainland's school year starts on thursday. >> the fbi is now getting involved in the apparent i cloud hack that exposed

private celebrity photos. "action news" reporter erin o'hearn is at the big board with more on the investigation. this is a lot of private material, some famous people didn't want out there. >> it sure is. the fbi is now investigating this massive hacking scandal which includes big a list names including oscar winner jennifer lawrence and ariana grande. a user on the popular photo sharing site four chan posted the risque photos on sunday after hackers allegedly gained access to i cloud accounts. apple's i cloud service an internet storage program supposed to keep users information and media private. apple said it has fixed the bug that allowed hackers to access the program but the damage seems to be done the stars are angry. lawrence's rep has said that the photographs of her are real and that this is "a flagrant violation of privacy." super model kate upton who was also a victim in the scandal, a nude photograph of the

bombshell blond and her boyfriend surfaced and her attorney said she intended to sue anyone disseminating or duplicating these images to the fullest extender possible. >> celebritys are more vulnerable because their photos are more valuable. >> if you have deleted photos from your phone, oftentimes they've already been uploaded into the cloud and when you delete them from the phone, they continues to exist. >> and one industry expert is actually calling this photo leak a sex crime, not a scandal because it involves the theft of personal property and the exploitation of the female body. tam, a lot of attention being brought to this story. >> absolutely. thank you erin. 6:00 a.m. "action news" reporter david henry is live in atlantic city where the $2 billion plus project is about to sit moth ball. david. >> reporter: yeah, the process has begun, matt, just a few minutes ago, the chains across the steps going from the boardwalk up to the casino went up. so, this casino is in its final death throws. the cards were stacked against this place from the beginning. built during the great recession with a heavy debt load. take a look up here. you can see that the lights are still on on the gaming floor but they will go dark about a half hour from now. this is a $2.5 billion gamble that went bust. >> they did put so much money into it and now it's closing and it did so little for the city anyway, it's just -- it just seems to be a big waste. >> reporter: no potential buyers have come to the table so far so this glittering 47 story hotel and casino is now an almost empty shell. a prominent boardwalk landmark symbolic of the fading allure of casino gambling in atlantic

city. the revel was supposed to purge new life into this town targeting an upmarket crowd. the crowds never came and the casino went through two bankruptcies before finally calling it quits. it has become another domino as one casino after another falls. the atlantic club closed in january. the showboat closed this past sunday and the trump plaza will close in two weeks. the closings are a body blow to the local economy putting 6200 people out of work. the mood was grim at the revel last night as many of the 3200 employees clocked out for the last time. >> very serious. usually have fun, goof off and everything but we took it very serious, did our jobs, in and out. >> reporter: the gaming floor all but deserted throughout the night soon to go dark as this place closes its doors for the final time at 6 o'clock this morning. the revel will be no more. so, what's next for atlantic city now that four of its 12 casinos are closing? well,

that will be the challenge for a bipartisan summit meeting that meets next week. live in atlantic city, david henry, channel 6 "action news." matt. >> thanks, david. atlantic city has seen the total revenue of its casino industry nearly cut in half since 2006. it fell from $5.2 billion to under $2.9 billion in the last year. pennsylvania launched gambling in 2006 and has grown from a $450 million industry to a $3 billion industry in the last fiscal year. eclipsing atlantic city and clearly stealing business. >> this morning for a lot of families it's going to be about the kids heading back to school wondering how to dress them, what to anticipate. >> don't wonder. >> okay. >> just shorts and t's, that's about all you can do today or maybe those golf shirts. storm tracker 6 live double scan, tam, shows us we're dry. it's one of those days where it would be horrific to get a little bit of rain. probably would have to wait until this evening for that. as we look outside we have dry

condition, tranquil conditions as well but as you take your first steps outside the door you'll probably feel it kind of muggy out there. similar to the last couple of days. and it looks like we're in for hot and humid one. temperature right now is 77 degrees. your dewpoint is 72 right now. that's over that threshold for what we call oppressive air. 70 and up oppressive humidity. winds out of the southwest at just 3 miles per hour, too, so not much relief there. dewpoints across the region, we have slipped to 68 in allentown but most of us are at 70 or better so again very humid conditions as you step outside it's staying that way today. future tracker 6 shows that you we'll be in and out of the clouds as we go through the morning and into the afternoon. looks like in most cases we stay dry. we can't totally rule out a little pop-up shower or thunderstorm during the late afternoon hours but the better chance appear to be in the evening between 6 o'clock and 8 o'clock or 9 o'clock tonight. there are drenching downpours in a couple neighborhoods, maybe a little bit of gusty wind ahead of that. then we get up to 11 o'clock and we're beginning to ease

back into drier conditions. as we take a look at temperatures today, 78 degrees by 8 o'clock but by 11:00 we're already in the mid 80's and then we spend a good portion of the afternoon in the 90's. 94 degrees is your high at about 3 o'clock and by 5 o'clock we'll still be just barely holding onto 90 and again a pop-up shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon but a better chance this evening. high temperatures across the area, everybody in the 90's outside of lancaster and the shore. at the shore still mid to upper 80's and still humid with that late thunderstorm chance. as we take a look at tomorrow, any early showers get out of here quickly and then you can see how we clear out and dry out and that humidity starts to go down tomorrow. should it feel a lot more comfortable. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, hot and humid today, though. 94 the high. heat index is up around 100. lots of cool drinks if you'll be out there working or exerting yourself at all and that late thunderstorm is something you want to keep your eyes on. tom glavine we'll less humid, 88, still warm. great for the union game at ppl park at night and then thursday sunny and warm, 88 but not bad in terms of

accident just coming in. it's in bucks county involving an overturned tractor-trailer. it is on the ramp from the pennsylvania turnpike westbound to bensalem. that's exit 351. this just happened a few minutes ago we're hearing at this point traffic has been getting by but you got to watch that with an overturned tractor-trailer on a ramp when they try to clear that up right now. we connect that could certainly cause some problems. we're looking live right now and you can see this accident scene in the camera view so you need to be careful as you're headed out. we've got police emergency workers on the scene right now and that overturned tractor-trailer is dark but you can kind of make it out right here and it looks like it's flipped over at least on its side. a problem on the ramp from the pennsylvania turnpike westbound to bensalem. watch for this accident involving an overturned tractor-trailer now looking like they're blocking the ramp right here so certainly an issue for this morning. just happened a few minutes ago and now we're looking live right here at the scene. let's go to the maps and talk about another accident here. and this is in berks county and it's on 422 right near

662. it's been out there a little bit but still causing a problem this morning so you've got to watch for that. back to our camera scene this is a shot at route 100 at sunrise boulevard. no problems now. northbound we expect construction not today but tomorrow through friday from 9:00 until 3:00 and certainly we're going to be looking out on the roads expecting more school buses on the road today and our summer time light volume, well, that's something of a history. let's take a look right now at visibility reports. at least we have no big weather problems affecting the roads as you come back to work and school, 10-mile visibility in philadelphia, 3-mile visibility in trenton and .3 in lancaster so just one or two areas where you're getting just a little bit of fog but as david has been telling us, it's a really hot and humid day today, a high of 94. late today watch for a couple thunderstorms late today and tonight. they could be drenchers. >> the manhunt continues for the ak-47 bandit. he's wanted for bank robberies in four different states across the country.

authorities believe he could be a former law enforcement officer or exmilitary. authorities believe his robbery spree began two years ago in california and most recently they think he maids off with a duffle bag of cash from a bank in nebraska. >> a distracted driver in colorado speaking out about a near death experience. christina jans said she looked down after her phone for a split second when a piece of guardrail plunged into her suv through the headlights. the pole shot through jans' hip and came out at the top of her rear end just missing many vital organs. jans is now out of the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. >> the trial of christina regusters is expected to resume this morning. she's accused of kidnapping a child from a school in west philadelphia. prosecutors say regusters blindfolded a little girl and escorted her out of bryant elementary and later prosecutors say regusters sexually assaulted the child in regusters' home and later abandoned the girl half naked at a park. the girl testified that she heard a bird talking in the home and when a tip led police

>> ♪ >> a small landslide at a cemetery in spokane washington caused a casket to move from its resting place. the coffin ended up 12 feet down a ditch. managers at fairmount memorial park call this a freak accident. they've contacted the affected family. a witness says the slide could be weather related. cemetery staff continue to investigate the incident. >> the coast guard came to the rescue of five fishermen off the southern california coastline. a small boat began taking on water while deep sea fishing.
