we'll get to all of those stories in just a moment. but also of course we're going to talk about accuweather, see what we can expect on this wednesday. for that we'll go to meteorologist, david murphy. good morning. >> good morning, guys. we had thunderstorms rumble through last night but they're off the coast. we're look tag bit of morning cloud cover mixing with sun. over all it will be a day that features a fair amount of sunshine. still warm. we're starting out at 75 degrees in philadelphia, in the upper 60's in places like allentown and reading. 72 in wilmington and trenton, 73 millville and 75 in sea isle city. unlike yesterday you step outside and it does not feel all that muggy. as we head out the door earl to catch that school bus between six andy a.m. and 8:00 a.m., 72 degrees, 74 degrees, some clouds mixing with those sunny breaks and overall pretty comfortable. as we go through the afternoon yes, it will be warm. still need cool drinks if you'll be out and about. not as humid nor as uncomfortable. 75 by 9 o'clock, by noon 82. 87 degrees by 3 o'clock and

your high of 88 around 3:30 before we fall back to 85 by 6 o'clock. looks like this comfortable pattern continues for the next couple days until the next round of higher humidity. tam details coming up. >> david thank you. the terror group isis says it has beheaded another american journalist. the white house confirming this has been the case and the group is threatening to kill again. "action news" reporter erin o'hearn is live with brand new information just coming in. good morning. >> good morning, tam. yet another horrifying video surfacing of what is being called "a second message to america from the islamic terrorist group isis." in it the isis executioner says "i'm back, obama," and as of moments ago we had news coming in. the u.s. has confirmed that this tape is in fact authentic. in the grisly video american journalist steven sotloff is on his knees and next to him appears to be the same

executioner of journalist james foal who was murdered two weeks ago. sotloff is the second american murderd in retaliation for u.s. airstrikes on isis targets in iraq. president obama is now in europe meeting with allies to discuss a strategy for syria, although the obama administration has carried out more than 100 airstrikes against isis in iraq, there is growing criticism that weak foreign policy is contributing to the terror group's rise. >> you have to deal with this threat comprehensively and thoroughly now. and that is what i want to hear and see from our commander in chief. >> what's ironic about isis is they're winning hearts and minds. unfortunately these horrible beheading videos are recruiting films for them. >> now, isis is holding at least one british journalist and possibly two american workers but again, as we said just moments ago the u.s. did confirm the authenticity of

the tapes you just saw. i'm erin o'hearn, live in the satellite center, channel6 "action news. matt back to you. >> erin thank you. the entire student body at council rock high school south returns for a new school year justice after a nasty crash took the lives of three of their classmates. "action news" reporter annie mccormick is live at the school in holland bucks county with the story. annie. >> reporter: and matt, this is the students' first day back since they found out three of their classmates did die in that rollover crash in the poconos. since this happened on saturday the administration has gotten out ahead of this making sure the students have had an outlet for their grief since monday and also last night they held a vigil here. students and families filed into council rock high school south tuesday night for a vigil in honor of the three students killed in that rollover crash saturday in the poconos. ryan lesher, cullen keffer shamus digney were killed in the single vehicle accident after leaving breakfast with

friends. a 15-year-old new york girl was at the wheel driving without a license. two other teens were also in the vehicle including another council rock south student. he has since been released from the hospital and is okay. as are those two other teens. now, more than 2,000 showed up for the vigil last night including three of the four families whose children were involved in that crash. well, students and the administration talked about how they are planning to cope during the first week of school. >> one of the things that we know about kids and grieving is routine is very important so we want tomorrow to be routine we want them to come to school, go to homeroom. we will certainly acknowledge this class with a moment of silence but the rest of the day we will try to maintain our routines. we'll have counselors available. >> it's definitely like for support. like everyone wants to just show like they're here for them and even people who didn't know, you know, like my family's coming just to show like we all are here to help

them through this hard time. >> and again the administration saying that a there's still a long road ahead for these students. they still have three funerals they have to go to, have to deal with. another of the sports teams say they will also address helping the athletes since these children were all popular athletes dealing with how to cope with moving forward with fall activities. more coming up in the next hour on how the school will continue to cope today and again and they'll have grief counselors on hand. for now live in holland, pennsylvania, annie mccormack channel 6 "action news." >> a delaware neighborhood is keying o'keeping an eye out for burglars breaking in in broad daylight. wilmington police tracked thefts occurring in the past few weeks in the hedgeville section of the city. they're getting in through first floor doors and windows. the same part of wilmington saw another rash of burglaries back in may of this year with sixburgh lears in a six-day period. also in delaware police

released a sketch of a suspected rapist. a 29 year old woman says she was sexually assaulted on the 1600 block of coleman street in wilmington. police were called to the scene late wednesday night of last week. the suspect you see there is described as a black nan his early 20's about 5-foot seven and thin. he was driving an older model silver sedan with temporary delaware tags. anyone with information should call new castle county police. >> philadelphia police are looking for the teenager who fired the shot that came within an inch or two of killing a nine-year-old boy. the shooting happened yesterday afternoon on a very busy torresdale avenue near the tacony branch library in the tacony section of the city. police say the victim had just left the library with his mother and four year old sibling when the armed teen started shooting at a group of teens. a stray bullet grazed the nine year old in the head. augustine rows sat tow ran to help the wounded boy. >> he was all excited and i couldn't calm him down. he was please, sir, don't let

me die, don't let me die. >> the boy was treated at saint christopher's hospital and released. investigators are urging anyone with any information on the shooting to call them. happening today, mayor michael nutter will sign a bill to make it easier for nursing mothers in the workplace. the bill will make it illegal for businesss to refuse to provide adequate time for new mothers to express or pump breast milk while on the job. those who plan to be at the signing include the executive director of the maternity care coalition. >> time for your first look at business. home depot is investigating a possible hack attack that may have led to a major credit card breach. yet another one. the batch of stolen credit and debit numbers are already for sale on the black-market. banks say they believe the suspicious activity startd in late april or early may. the breech may be even bigger than that target attack last fall. experts urge consumers to go to bank -- to go back and can check their bank statements

triggered last night by the thunderstorms to our west. we had action rumbling through but that's gone. behind it we're looking at cloud cover giving way to a fair amount of sunshine today. temperatures are still going to be warm as i mentioned. we'll be at 74 i 8 o'clock, 79 by 11 o'clock and then 86 degrees by 2 o'clock with a high of 88 around 3:30 or so. probably still around 86 by 5 o'clock but again humidity lowering as the day goes on. high temperatures across the region, well, in the 80's just about everywhere. 84 in allentown, 85 in reading and trenton, 87 in toms river, 86 today in wilmington and down the shore a little better, 83 degrees and even down the shore you'll feel that humidity dropping. tonight the philadelphia union are at ppl park against toronto. a big home at home set that starts tonight at the home field. mostly clear and pretty nice for the start of this game, 82 degrees and by the 90th minute probably down to about 79 degrees. keep in mind you can follow me on social media on facebook and twitter and right now on my "action news" facebook page there is a link to my latest

philadelphia union progress. starting to get to be crunch time for the union but they're still very much in the playoff hunt. tomorrow looks like we've got satellite showing very little cloud cover. lots of sunshine. by late in the day there might be something trying to pop off to the west of the region but tomorrow looks like another nice day, another dry day before we get back into somewhat mohr unsettled weather on friday and saturday. 88 degrees is today's high. breezy and warm. humidity lowering as the day goes on. partly sunny tomorrow, 89, another warm one but similar to today and then friday hot and humid. the next pop-up thunderstorms could be later in the day or at night on friday. saturday hot and humid a high of 92, a thunderstorm or shower can't be ruled out particularly in the afternoon and evening. sunday we see improvement. be there their could be a couple showers around to start out. in general the day looks like a mix of clouds and sun, much better temperature-wise with a high of 80 and hopefully

everything dries out in time for that eagles game at 1 o'clock, the big home opener. sunday back to nice weather, mostly sunny and 78 and back to 77 still nice on tuesday, so more seasonable weather is on the way but today and tomorrow still pretty warm. >> okay. thanks, david. >> yeah. >> this is new on "action news," a man who was on a bike trip along the east coast with the goal of proposing to his girlfriend was stabbed to death at a fast food restaurant. kevin adorno was taking a pit stop for his bike trip. he was pedaling from maryland to miami and almost made it to his destination when he decide d to stop at a mcdonald's in vero beach and was stabbed repeatedly with a 12-inch blade. police arrested renee cruz is homeless man and say he has confessed. as for a motive police say cruz claims he thought add dorno was calling others to the fast food joint to attack him. >> apple is acknowledging that hackers specifically targeted celebrities accounts and that led to the leak of nude photos jennifer lawrence kate upton and others.

the computer giant says it found no evidence of a widespread problem in its icloud services and says hackers specifically targeted the victims figuring out their user names, pass words and security questions. the fbi is also investigating this breach. to protect yourself from hackers apple is suggesting users turn on a feature to add extra layers of security to their accounts. the system is called two step verification. a special code gets into your smartphone when trying to log in from a new device. that means a hacker could not access your account remotely even if they knew your password because they wouldn't have that extra pip. the feature is available on many major platforms including google microsoft facebook and twitter. >> we're seeing this across-the-board financial services accounts definitely a must. online steward accounts if you're not already using a service that has dual factor move to it quickly. more attention is focused on better security practices for

>> let's check out some of your traffic spots. first up southwest philadelphia, 95 at enterprise avenue. construction crews were back in the area overnight and they continue to work there this morning. you can see that flashing arrow. they're blocking the southbound left lane so stay to the right as come off the girard point bridge and go over towards the airport but they should be out of there in the next hour. let's go to langhorne bucks county route one at route 213. traffic is moving along nicely on route 1 between bensalem and morrisville but nearby route 213 is blocked at

country, denver, phoenix, all these airports looking good. but then you get to the west coast and we're seeing that period where could see some low cloud cover in san francisco and also in los angeles. tam, back to you. >> okay, thank you, matt. new information on the dozens of teens who escaped from a tennessee youth detention center. another teen who escaped from the nashville facility has turned himself in overnight leaving the numbers still out on the run at seven. officials say 32 teens who slipped under a fence can now face escape charges. some of the teens who have been recaptured were turned in by their parents. a 16 year old boy from south carolina is suing the state's department of motor vehicles for not allowing him to wear makeup for a driver's license photo. chase culpeper regularly wears makeup and women's clothing. he says being ordered by officials to remove what they call a disguise was humiliating. the transgender legal defense and education fund says that rule is unconstitutional. the teen's attorney says they're not looking for any kind of money.

>> a tennessee family's day at the fair ended abruptly when a cloud at a dunk tank started to hurl racial epithets. tanya jones was with her three children eight to 10 years old. it soon became clear the insults were coming from the clown at the dunk tank at the delta fair and he didn't stop. >> he was like yeah i'm talking you to shanana.
