sophomore year today. >> a teen takes on the dmv when he says he was turned away simply for trying to be himself. >> good morning everyone, 5:30 on this wednesday. not as bad says accuweather. let's go to david and karen. good morning. >> still going to be warm out there, clouds mixing with sun and maybe a little more sun as the day goes on but it's not going to be as humid as the day goes on as we will see that humidity lower. that's partly because a front that was on this side of the humidity and allowed for it to really sock us in yesterday is now pushed off the coast and your higher humidity air is beginning to go away with it. we also have a nice breeze coming down ouster northwest helping to dry things out. 75 degrees in philadelphia, 70 in reading, if unin trenton and mid 70's right now down the shore. as we head out the front door, maybe catching that school bus for the first or seconds time this year, 72 degrees by 6 o'clock, 74 by 8 o'clock, not as humid, some clouds, really not a bad way to get your day started. as we go through the afternoon it will still be warm. if you're going to be out there working or doing some

sort of exertion you'll still need cool drinks but 75 by 9 o'clock, 82 by noon. a pretty comfortable morning with that humidity on the way down. and then 87 by 3 o'clock with a high of 88, probably around 4 o'clock, 85 degrees by 6:00. karen, we do have another round of humidity coming in the accuweather 7-day. i'll have details on that in a couple. >> all right day. i've got an update on this accident that brought down a pole. it had been closing 213 maple avenue in middletown township in bucks county but peco is on the scene. they've cleared it. they fixed the problem. now 213 is reopened at flowers mill road. better news there in bucks county. we have a problem here its a fire although it's under control you want the watch for restrictions here with crews still on the scene. this is in east mount airy at a day-care center. wadsworth avenue and provident road. try to avoid that intersection for the time being and stick to mount airy avenue as your alternate for that one. meanwhile better news here on i-95 as well. last time i showed you this shot we had construction right here blocking the left lanes. this is southbound near enterprise a the construction has cleared. traffic moving nicely headed

towards the airport and no problems right now, tam. >> okay, thank you, karen. there is breaking international news on two fronts this morning including confirmation from the white house on the latest execution of an american journalist. though we begin with word of a ceasefire between russia and ukraine. let's go right over to "action news" reporter erin o'hearn. she's there in the satellite center. she's got brand new information. good morning. >> good morning, tam. good morning. and we're learning the agreement occurred over a phone call between russian president vladimir putin and ukrainian president poroshenko. it was an agreement on a full ceasefire in the eastern ukraine region and according to ukrainian spokesperson, the two leaders have also reached a mutual understanding on steps that would lead to peace. ukraine and the west have accused russia of sending its troops and weapons to support pro-russian insurgent who's have been fighting government troops in eastern ukraine

since mid april. also breaking this morning the white house has confirmed that horrifying execution video of journalist steven sotloff is authentic. it's being called a second message to america from the islamic terrorist group isis. in the grisly video 31-year-old american journalist steven sotloff is on his knees and next to him appears to be the same executioner of journalist james foley who was murdered two weeks ago. sotloff is the second american killed in retaliation for u.s. airstrikes on isis targets in iraq. president obama is now in europe meeting with allies to discuss a strategy for syria. although the obama administration has carried out more than 100 airstrikes against isis in iraq, there is growing criticism that weak foreign policy is contributing to the terror group's rise. however, moments ago president obama addressed the execution of sotloff from estonia saying the united states will not be intimidated.

will be opened later today. >> just about 5:35 now. students at a bucks county school will be relying on counselors and each other as they start the first day of school this morning. three classmates who should have been starting their sophomore year today will not be among them. "action news" reporter annie mccormick is live outside council rock high school south in holland. annie. >> reporter: matt, the moment that the administration found out about this tragedy, they have been offering outlets of support for their students to deal with this grief including last night at a vigil and students say it is helping. >> it's definitely like for support. like everyone wants to just show that like they're here for them and even people who didn't know, you know, like my family's coming just to show like we all are here to help them through this hard time. >> reporter: students and families file into council rock high school south tuesday night for a vigil in honor of three students killed in a rollover crash saturday in the poconos. ryan lesher, cullen keffer and

shamus digney were all killed in the single vehicle accident after leaving breakfast with friends. three other teens were in the vehicle and survived including a 15-year-old new york girl who was at the wheel and driving without a license. a 16-year-old passenger from new york and another council rock south student have been released from the hospital. more than 2,000 showed up for the vigil including three of the four families whose children were involved in the crash. students and the administration talked about how they are planning to cope during the first week of school. >> one of the things that we know about kids and grieving is routine is very important so we want tomorrow to be routine. we want them to come to school, go to homeroom. we will certainly acknowledge this loss with a moment of silence tomorrow morning but for the rest of the day we will try to maintain our routines. we will have counselors and cares teams available for any kids who are grieving and in crisis. >> reporter: and not own dollar those students have to now start school without their three classmates, they also will miss them in sporting

events. these were three exceptional athletes. also something that they still have had is dealing with their funerals. for now reporting live in holland, annie mccormick, channel 6 "action news." >> thanks, annie. the search continues for the teenager who fired a shot that came within a few inches of killing a nine-year-old boy. the shooting happened yesterday afternoon along the very busy torresdale avenue in the tacony section of the city. police say the victim had just left the nearby tacony library with his mother and four-year-old sibling when the armed teen started shoot tag group of other teens. a stray bullet grazed the nine-year-old in the head. augustine ross sat tow ran to help the wounded boy. >> he was all excited and i couldn't calm him down. he was please sir, don't let me die, don't let me die. >> the boy was treated at saint christopher's hospital and released. investigators are urging anyone with information on the shooting to call them. >> new this morning a delaware neighborhood is keeping an eye out for burglars breaking in

in broad daylight. wilmington police say the thefts have occurred over the past few weeks in the hedgeville section of the city. they're getting in through first floor doors and windows. so far officers do not have a description of the suspects. anybody with information is urged to call the wilmington police 911 center. >> less floridian today. >> yesterday it sounded and felt like new orleans because there was cicadas. it was like cool hand luke. storm tracker 6 -- got to be a little older to get that one but that's what it felt like. storm tracker 6 right now shows you there's no precipitation after last night's deluge in some neighborhoods and rumbles of thunder. as we take a look outside we have a nice morning building across the region. down the shore maybe a little bit cloudy to start out but eventually we'll change over to no worse than a sun and clouds mix. 75 degrees right now in philadelphia and you'll notice how the dewpoint has dipped now to 66. now, that's still an indication of somewhat humid air but yesterday we were up over 70 for a good portion of

the afternoon and this number is in the process of dropping. that's good for us. winds out of the northwest at 5t it will get a little bit more breezy than that as the day goes on. satellite shows you that we do have some cloud cover out there for now but overall we're looking at the clouds to give way to a fair amount of sunshine today and of course that precipitation is off the coast. in philadelphia 74 by 8 o'clock and 79 by 11:00. so, a pretty nice morning to get things done. humidity in the process of dropping. this afternoon still going to be warm. 86 by 2 o'clock and we will get a high of 88 around 3:00 or 3:30 this afternoon and still be holding onto the mid 80's by 6 o'clock so cool drinks important if you're going to be out and about today but it's not as humid and not as uncomfortable nor as hot as yesterday. 84 is today's high in allentown, 85 in reading, 85 trenton, 87 in millville. down the shore 83, a little bit less intense with that warmth down by the water and the philadelphia union are at home at ppl park for the first of a home at home set against toronto. mostly clear and nice. big game for the union. they've only got nine regular

mostly construction. don't forget in lower pottsgrove township the ramp connecting 422 eastbound with armand hammer boulevard respect scheduled to close today and it's going to last through late november. so i know this is going to cause people problems. you can use the ramps at sanatoga but we expect that to be pretty congested. instead use the hanover street ramp because you have to deal with this until late november so it will be a little while out there. in levittown bucks county, it's construction here. not now but from 9:00 until 3:00 today, route 13 between haines road and levittown parkway they're going to do traffic stoppages while they work on a bridge near that area so expect lots of congestion. might want to stick to mill creek road or new falls road as your alternate when they stop traffic from 9:00 until 3:00 today in bucks county. let's check your commuter traffic report which you can be a part of when you download the free waze app and we can check all the suburbs by glancing at the waze app. this is mount laurel, we've got lumberton in new jersey, route 70 moving just fine. if you're headed to 73 no problem. this is 38. if you're headed to 295 from there, northbound or southbound, not looking at any

issues so pretty good conditions. yesterday we had a lot of problems with storms moving through. i know it canceled some soccer around the area or whatever activities you may be doing in the afternoon. breezy and warm today. it's quiet so less humid. no storms in sight. 88 for your high, matt. >> new this morning a cross country biker was killed in an attack in a mcdonald's parking lot days before completing his journey. police in florida say this homeless man admitted to stabbing kevin adorno to death outside of a mcdonald's. he was supposed to propose to his girlfriend once he reached his destination. police say the homeless man told them he attacked adorno because he thought the cyclist was on his cell phone talking to someone who wanted to hurt him. >> apple says it found no evidence of a widespread problem in its icloud or iphone services after that celebrity photo breach. but this should still get you thinking about how to protect yourself from hackers.
