lane. we had a fire in southwest philadelphia blocking funston street. we had a blown transformer joshua drive, watch out for a local power outage, but peco is responding to the scene. firefighters discovered a man's body inside a car in philadelphia burned beyond recognition. annie mccormick is live at police headquarters, she has the latest, good morning, annie mccormicky good morning, at this hour, homicide detectives say they have not been able to make a positive identification on the body discovered. they can not say what is the cause of death is at this time. take a look of this fire video that a witness took with with a cell phone. that's a car on fire, crews discovered a man dead in the car

in the passenger seat. that happened in an alley in olney section. star watson saint the victim inside the car was her brother. northwest detectives were close investigating reports from withses including watson of shots fired in a vehicle matching the description of the one you saw on fire. witnesses say the passenger in the vehicle, a man was shot in the head and the driver took off with the passenger inside. the shooting was reported around 4:00 p.m. detectives called local hospitals and officers were on foot patrol looking for the vehicle described in the shooting, nearby witnesses and the police saw smoke and flames nearby. >> about an hour later we see smoke coming from the air, me and my boyfriend and all of us, we ran enter we got to the burning car before the cops did just by running on foot.

that was the car they were looking for the whole hour they were how the here it was two blocks away. >> reporter: police have not made a positive identification yet or released a name to us. they also can't say when the car was parked there or set on fire. police did say they were looking for a heavy-set man running from the scene and jumping into a red car. >> the family of a 12-year-old girl is suing the philadelphia school district over her death. she died of an asthma attack. her father said if the school had an on duty nurse daughter would be alive. the family has filed a wrongful death suit gains the school

district. the school district said the staff at bryant is not responsible for the child's death. there's a stunning development in a murder of a delaware couple. they were shot to death in wilmington last september. the day of the crime we talked to christopher rivers he appeared to be distraught. now police say it was an act. they arrested rivers in joshua bay charging both men with the couple's murder. >> job seekers are invited to the workshop in delaware. it will be held at the wilmington public library there's the address. attendees can learn interview techniques and how to market themselves to potential employers. the action cam is looking at dillworth plaza at city hall.

the high of 89 around 3:00 p.m. and 86 by 5:00 p.m. so fairly warm this afternoon. entomorrow, future trash 6 shows you how at times there will be clouds digging in. it will be more humid as the warm front gets past us. after the front gets through, there's a chance of pop-up thunderstorms. not a lot of on future tracker, but it's something to keep in mind as you roll through the afternoon and early evening tomorrow. 89 is the high today, not all that humid, but warm. tomorrow, more humid and 89 and chance of pop-up shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon or early evening. saturday, more humid, 89 degrees, saturday is the day a cold front comes through. in the afternoon and evening we're looking at a chance of showers and thunderstorms for a portion of the afternoon and early evening hours. good news on sunday, looks like we have all that rain off the coast and out of here, any morning clouds should give way

are nice and dry, we don't have a whole a lot of complaints on this ramp. we'll start complaining later on and we will complete complaining for 8 months. it's a new construction project in chester county. it will affect 37,000, because you use this stretch at route 30. they are improving the intersection and working on the road and the sidewalks and the traffic lights. along with this, come restrictions. during the midday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and during the overnight. if you're out and about on 30, stick with 202 during those areas. had some restrictions on the northeast extension for construction. the work between lansdale and quakertown is gone, they are blocking the left lane both ways, that could slow you down. pennsauken, 130 southbound between 73 and 70 they are

>> police in new mexico are searching for the driver in a road rage incident that left a man critically injured. surveillance shows the drivers pulling into a parking lot. the black truck makes a u-turn and the white truck rams into it. the driver climbed into the pick up, and ended up being run over. else in critical condition, but he is expected to survive. you lose socks? >> yeah. >> reporter: this portland family loses socks left and right, they did them investigating and they found them in their dog's stomach. so the great dane started vomiting one day. they got concerned and rushed the dog to the animal hospital and had surgery. the doctor found 43 1/2 socks inside the stomach pulled them
