51st. in bensalem there's a local power outage because of a blown transformer, peco on the way to the scene, you might find dark traffic lights in that area. >> detectives know they could be dealing with a murder coverup involving a burned out car and a man who had been shot and found in the flames. annie mccormick is following the investigation live outside police headquarters. annie. an investigation with a lot of the elements. police say it's early in the investigation, they do believe both crime scenes are related. they are, woulding to identify the victim that was discovered in the vehicle, they say he was so badly burned it's going to take sometime. this is video of that car fire that a viewer did take. it was inside that car that crews did discover a man dead in the passenger seat. now, that happened in an alley

in the olney section of the city around 8:00 p.m. already northwest detectives were close by in the 400 block of roseland investigates reports of witnesses of shots fire in the vehicle matching the description of the one on fire. witnesses say a peacialg in -- passenger in the vehicle, may have been shot in the head, at this point they don't have the cause of death confirmed. one of the witnesses claims that the victim is her brother, the shooting was reported around 4:00 p.m. detectives called local hospitals, they say they were taking witness statements and officers were on foot patrol looking for the vehicle described in the shooting when they saw smoke and flames nearby. >> right now it's an investigation in progress. we're processing the crime scene, eventually, the body will be transported to the office of the medical examiner where the body will not only receive an autopsy, but be identified to
