transformer in bensalem centered along joshua drive. it's dark, but we're seeing headlights in belmawr, camden county 42 northbound, a gathering crowd heading toward 295. >> firefighters discovered a man's body inside a burning car in philadelphia burned beyond recognition. police believe this was the endingful a story that began with a shooting earlier. annie mccormick has all the details, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, tam, two crime scenes that police are connected. it's a gruesome discovery, the body was badly burned, because of that, it will take time for the homicide detectives to make an identification. a woman came forward and said the victim was her brother.

the witness took a video of the car engulfed in flames. that's when fire crews discovered a man in the passenger seat. it happened in an alley in olney at 8:00 p.m. star watson said the victim is her brother. at the time of the discovery, northwest detectives were close by investigating reports of another crime reports of shots fireside and vehicle matching the description of the one on fire. witnesses say the passenger in that vehicle the man was shot in the head and the driver took off with the passenger inside. the shooting was reported around 4:00 p.m. detectives called local hospitals and officers were on foot patrol looking for the vehicle. >> about an hour later we seen the smoke in the air, we got to

the burning car before the cops did, it was the car they were looking for the whole hour we were giving them information and what we were hearing two blocks away. >> reporter: watson saying that was her brother, police not making a positive identification. last night they said they saw a man running from the scene he was described as heavy set and jumping into a red vehicle. if you have any information you are under to call homicide detectives. roberting live outside police head cooperators, annie mccormick channel 6 "action news." >> a lehigh valley woman is accused of taking two stolen cars on a demolition derby she cause three separate crashes enter coming to a stop. she was riding in her boyfriend's stolen work truck.
