noon with breaking news, two people are dead after an attack at a home in crescentville, pennsylvania. one man was shot in the head while the other want beaten with a hammer. chad pradelli is live at the scene now. >> reporter: sara, a woman that rents the house behind me made the gruesome discovery. a man was found shot and another man hit with a hammer, and may have been shot. the woman may be related to the two victims but at this point it's unclear. i talked to neighbors and they say this is a well known drug block and police are still trying to fine the motive and find out exactly what happened. i spoke to one neighbor and she said she walked by the home and saw two men fighting outside and didn't pay attention to it and

that discovery was made this morning. homicide detectives are on scene handling this investigation. >> they are on this block a lot. we respond to this block a lot but this house we didn't have information of the house being involved in narcotics. >> i am real scared. i am real worried. i walk fast because it is dark and then i come and they told me what is going on. >> police tell me they did not find drug paraphernalia in the home but a hammer that was likely used to beat one of victims. the names of the two men have not been released i am told they are from north philadelphia but this investigation is still early on and there is a lot of more work for homicide detectives to do. >> thank you. police arrested a 19-year-old woman accused of

being involved in three separate hit and run crashes in buck county this morning. sara cullmain was taken into custody, after authorities say she tried to run away from the car, investigator says she was first involved in a collision on ben salem boulevard in morning and struck another vehicle at street and mechanicsville road and fled the scene. philadelphia police are trying to identify a body found inside of a burning car in the olney section of the city last night. flames engulfed the vehicle and investigators believe that the man found dead inside was the victim of an earlier shooting. david henry is live now with the latest. >> reporter: this is where that

earlier shooting apparently happened here on the 400 block of rosalind street. they saw a man being shot inside of a car. >> they said there was a male inside of a black mitsubishi that was shot in the head and the driver drove off. shattered class and two votive candles are there were police marked the spot. people saw a plume of smoke on the 61 block of lawrence street. viewer video captured the flames, and they found the body of a man in the passenger seat. >> heart breaking. >> heart breaking. >> star watson believes that the shooting victim is her 24-year-old brother, she and other friends and family spent the evening searching for him

after word of the shootding. >> i was asking people my boyfriend and brother, we asked people what happened what happened and just kept going back to the cops giving them whatever we could give them, information that people were telling us. and then we had seen the smoke. >> she hoped that her brother would show up in a hospital after been thrown from the car witnesses say that they saw another man running away before jumping into a red car. at this point, police have no motives or suspects. police are waiting for the results of an autopsy before giving the identity of the victim and the cause of death, we are withholding the name given to us by his relatives. we'll have updates throughout the afternoon on 6abc.com and the 6 abc mobile app. david henry, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. nobody was injured when a

car crashed into a building in camden county, look at the scene, chopper 6 hd was over it in berlin, it crashed into the schneider building this morning. they are looking into the extent of the damage to the building and police are investigating. president obama is addressing tensions in the mideast as well as ukraine at the summit today. today marks the first day of the summit in wale, they are discussing ways to contain isis in iraq and syria and the president of ukraine are meeting with president obama to discuss the clashes with russia and president obama says that nato ambitions could end months of fitding. now the justice department is launching an investigation into ferguson, missouri, after an officer killed unarmed

teenager, michael brown, this sparked clashes between police and those protesting brown's death. they will launch a new review of ferguson police practicing, including patterns of traffic stops and arrests and the use of force. >> we have the fast food workers! >> the action cam was in north philadelphia this morning where a large crowd gathered to demand higher wages for fast food workers, this is one of several protests happening across the country today. there were arrests made at a protest in detroit. mcdonald's, taco bell and wendy's are among those under pressure to pay employees $15 an hour. well, this morning philadelphia cut the ribbon on a major investment in center city.

it took several years to transform the former dillworth plaza in dillworth park. vernon odom is live now. >> reporter: it looks good after two years of eye sores and disruptive construction, the west side of city hall is open for business now way new name and a new lease on life that makes it all seem very much worth it. dillworth plaza is now dillworth park, the $35 million makeover is spectacular. it opens for all philadelphians and visitor to enjoy. it's clean with many new amenities, including access to septa buses and subways. it include a cafe and ice skating rink, the district will be in charge of operations and maintenance, 24/7.

knowing if someone would come get us. >> it was hard sitting in the water not knowing where he was, under you or around you. >> the women made it safely out of the water, think hope that someone will recover the go pro camera, because they think it captured the entire attack on tape. now a group of teenagers out smarted security at a tennessee detention center and now they attacked two security guard, they got out and into the yard where they chased and assaulted staff member, they kicked out panels in a common area to reach the yard, the same tactic they used in a backout on monday. the ring leaders were taken into custody this morning and the policies are under review. more than a dozen people including children are recovering after a science experiment at a child's museum

went terribly wrong. children and adults scrambled to get out of discovery museum in reno, nevada, after a ball of flames erupted from a science experiment. it mixed alcohol and boric acid, and it simulated a tornado, this time an explosion. 13 people were hurt. >> we'll figure out what happened. and make sure it doesn't happen again. breaking news now, chopper 6 hd over the 1800 block of north 23rd street in philadelphia. just moments ago firefighters were called out here to respond to an apartment fire here in the 1800 block of north 23rd. they found flames coming from the second and third floors of the building, no injuries at this point, they are working to get control of this fire. and the flames are under control. we'll continue to monitor the situation out of north philadelphia, you can look for updates at 6abc.com. in other news, a federal judge says that reckless conduct is to blame for the worst offshore oil spill. a judge issued the ruling and says that bp is -- 60% of the

nice and humid this afternoon. the humidity tics up, stormtracker 6 live double scan, shows you we are high and dry this noon. as we take a look outside, pretty pictures on the action cam and the winds are not a factor, looking at the schuylkill at 30th street station, the temperature in philadelphia is 82 degrees, it is warm, the dew point is 62, a little bit above what we consider humid. winds out of the south southwest at 3 miles per hour. temperatures up and down the region right now, 82's on the map stn 81's, and one or two 83's, and everyone is looking even above the sunshine. dew points across the region, i want to show this to you, humid in wildwood. and numbers in the mid to upper 60s, that feels sticky. but generally speaking it's not oppressive out there, a little

warm and humid and you'll want cool drinks if you are out exerting yourself? . there is development of cloud cover in maryland and delaware and at times, we'll be mixing it into the picture. sun mixing with clouds and not all that humid, well not humid at all in the lehigh valley. at the shore 82 degrees and pleasant, not all that humid and sun eventually mixing with clouds. in philadelphia, it's warm out there. not all that sticky and a high of 89, again cool drinks are important if are you out and about doing stuff. winds out of the south, and not much wind, patchy clouds and it feels muggier in the overnight hours. if you are driving home from work and expecting someone to come home, 88 degrees by 4:00 and 82 by 7:00, no delays related to weather and we'll see

if everybody behaves themselves behind the wheel. the warm front is coming through and the change we'll see is a rise in humidity on friday and the humid air, there might be a pop-up shower or thunderstorm as the front comes through. future tracker 6 shows this popping up through the afternoon tomorrow and perhaps in the evening. not raining everywhere? and producing drenching thunderstorms tomorrow? and is it gets settled tomorrow night. today warm and 89 degrees, you can get through it okay. tomorrow warmer and more humid, the spotty thunderstorm chance and saturday with a cold front from the west, it's even more humid and another high close to 90 and afternoon and evening thunderstorms look probable saturday afternoon or night. i can see a two or three hour period where it's bumpy and a good day to keep the app handy.
