73 degrees right now in philadelphia, though. 74 in wilmington. 69 in allentown, all of these are very warm numbers. the when you factor in the high humidity that rolled in overnight, it's on the sticky side. heading to the school bus look for temperatures around 70 and a bit on the humid side. as we go through the afternoon, 73 degrees by 9:00 a.m., 84 by noon, the high is 89 at 3:00 p.m. matt and tam mentioned a chance of spotty thunderstorm popping up during the later afternoon and early evening hours. not everybody will see them, but where they hit they will produce drenching downpours and lightning. when i step inside we have word of another line of thunderstorms that comes in tomorrow night. that could be even stronger. >> reporter: what happens when construction runs late? exhibit a. this is i-95 at 420 northbound. we have construction, you can see the cone blocking the left

lane. hopefully they will start to pick this up. blocking the left lanes on i-95. northbound traffic on i-95 jammed from approaching 420 to the airport. as you're heading to the airport you have a delay looking live on i-95. the action cam is on the scene of the breaking traffic news, this is overbrook you can see the sign that is completely down right here, this is an accident involving an overturned truck it struck that pole right there. the pole is down, 59th and upland way blocked in this area, stick to 57th. there you see the police blocking the scene, the debris is all over the road. look at that overturned truck flipped over off into the woods at this point. debris everywhere, it's a messy accident scene, police emergency workers on the scene, 59th and up land way, stick to 57th as

the alternate to that one. you can see the fog on the ben franklin bridge this morning, traffic moving okay, construction blocking the lane westbound. we're looking live on the ben franklin bridge, the fog is on issue, be careful as you head out matt and tam. >> we will. the world is mourning the death of joan rivers the comedian with the occasional acid tongue crashed the male dominated late night talk shows and talked about poorly dressed celebrities. annie mccormick has more. >> reporter: her acid tongue made us laugh she was known for her with it and resillance, it was yesterday that her daughter made the announcement that she passed away at 81 years old a week after she was rushed to the hospital from a clinic in new york city where she was

undergoing a routine procedure for her throat and went into cardiac arrest. she was originally from new york, but she had ties to philadelphia. she was a trail blazer for women showing people with her blunt style that women could be as fun funny or funner than the men. johnny carson gave her her big break in 1965. their comedic partnership made her popularity soar. and then when she went out with her own show, a riff between the two almost ended here career. she worked harold after her husband two produced the show committed suicide at the four seasons hotel here in philadelphia. the emmy-winning and tony nominated comedian went on to remake herself becoming an author to more than a dozen books, she gained popularity on eentertainment as a fashion

critic. one business venture with qvc based in west chester began 20 years ago. >> she believed in us 24 years ago, when not a lot of people knew who we were. she has been a passionate advocate for qvc and truly loved our customers and for that, i'll love her forever. >> reporter: that line with qvc is one of the most successful brands she has. her daughter ma melissa went to college at the university of pennsylvania. the clinic she was at before she was taken to mount sigh knee hospital. -- sinai hospital there's a investigation into the clinic. the funeral and rangesment also are set for this weekend in new york city. matt o'donnell. >> our coverage of the death of joan rivers continues at

6abc.com. we have posted a slide show of photos of her life and career and reaction from hollywood celebrities. >> new this morning, a young man was shot and killed in the streets of expert county while trying to get into his car. 26th and boyle street. police received a call about gunfire. the victim who was in his 20s was shot several times and pronounced at the scene. no word on the suspects or a motive. >> chopper 6 was over a fire in trenton, new jersey, the fire broke out at mull berry and new york avenue at 9:30. the structure is across from the trenton freeway or route 1. >> a former employee at the cabellas in berks county is suing the chain for

discrimination. they refused to use the women's restroom because she is transgendered. >> they never let up, they never stopped, it prevented me from compressing who i was. >> cabellas fired blat in 2007 she believes it was due to her life style. the company has not issued a response to the lawsuit. >> eagles fans are not usually fans of the redskins, we're learning that the sales of the redskins merchandise is cooling down as the controversy over the team's name heats up. >> reporter: the washington redskins have posted a loss in one category. sales of clothing and other redskins merchandise plunged 35% last quarter. the drop is the result of the

chance of a pop-up thunderstorm. not everyone sees these, but where they hit they will produce a brief, but drenching downpour. all of this, what does pop up today knocks off shortly after dinner. up in allentown, the big story, other than the fact there might be a spotty storm, clouds and sun, and warm and humid, high of 87. down the shore, it's going to be warm and sticky. not as bad on the beach with high of 82 degrees, clouds and sun, muggy conditions there. in philadelphia we're looking at a warm one today, high of 89 degrees, clouds and sun, a spotty storm is possible, but the big story for most of you for most of the day will be the warmth combined with the humidity. 71 degrees by 8:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m., 81. decent morning to get your stuff done because it's warm and sticky. 88 degrees by 2, the high around 3:00 p.m. chance of spotty thunderstorm.

saturday, it's still humid with a cold front coming in from the west, during the day we're basically dry, as we get into the evening hours in particular. we'll have to look out for a line of more pronounced showers and thunderstorms, where these manage to pop up, they could produce the downpours and lightning and gusty winds. sunday all that is gone and we recover to a nice day for football. 76 degrees for the kickoff for the eagles and jaguars and 78 as we wrap up the home opener at lincoln financial field. warm and humid today, 895 spotty storm in spots. tomorrow, humid, tomorrow late in the day and especially night we'll be on the look out for gusty winds and strong thunderstorms. 91 is the high. sunday, humidity improving and the temperatures not too bad, clouds an sun, great day for the eagles. monday, not bad, 78 degrees

>> welcome back, the action cam is live on the scene of breaking news coming to us from philadelphia's overbrook section. take a look here. look at that vehicle. police have blocked 59th and upland way. the driver lost control an took down a traffic light. the driver fled the scene and was found a block away, and is being treated at the hospital. >> there's debris everywhere from the accident. >> reporter: there is, as the action cam zooms out, look at the debris, the traffic light is smashed, we can see trash and debris all over the roadway. you can see it all over this entire intersection with the car that flipped over and off at the

woods. this is overbrook, 59th and uplapped way, police have it blocked off, there's a lot of cleanup to be done. doesn't look like they have started the cleanup, they have to do an accident investigation. looks like it could be out here a little while. certainly with the down pole they have to get emergency workers out there, avoid this area, 59ing and upland way stick to lancaster and woodbine avenue. the action cam live on the scene. let's go outside and talk about another issue this morning, some fog in spots. as we look live it doesn't look too bad with our camera angle i-95 at 4:20. look at the back up, you don't expect a backup on i-95 right as you head toward the airport. it's difficult on i-95 because we're jamming 420 to the airport with construction blocking the

left lanes. we're supposed to clear a while ago, construction is out there, we can see it causing a problem, early morning delay i-95 at 420. you need to be careful with that right now. chester, 21st and edgemont avenue new accident to be mindful of here. the fog is an issue. we're improving at philadelphia international, but it's 3 miles right now. half mile in dover. five in millville. you can see in and around reporting sites, camden e observation county and burial ton county and gloucester counties dealing with fog. >> apple is stepping up it's icloud security following the celebrity photo scandal. here's tech bytes. >> reporter: apple will make it harder to hack into icloud accounts. apple will send special alerts

another iconic atlantic city resort is in danger of closing its doors. >> joan rivers from hollywood to chester county, countless members. media credit the comedian with inspiring their own careers. >> good morning, everybody, it is we're tracking fog with david murphy, good morning. >> reporter: looking at satellite, not a lot of coverage across the respect. but we have some clouds are filling in and ground-level fog. the biggest area is east of philadelphia. but in the city it's evident, as well. you want to be careful driving around particularly in neighborhoods where there might be kids to and from school. down in dover we've had problems with that, as well. 73 degrees in philadelphia. muggy out here. 69 in allentown, 76 in sea isle city. just to show you how muggy it is, we have dewpoints at 70 or higher. that's oppressive humidity.

we're looking at a sticky start. this afternoon, 73 by 9:00. 84 by noon. the high is 89 at 3:00 p.m. other one facet to the forecast is a spotty shower or thunderstorm that could pop up later in the afternoon or early this evening, in a couple of neighborhoods, drenching downpours when that happens. when i step inside, stronger thunderstorms possible tonight, details coming up. the last time i showed you a shot of i-95 in delaware county it was jammed solid as you tried to head toward the airport because of late morning construction. the construction was cleared, the delay cleared that quickly, too, i-95 at 420, northbound traffic no problem heading to the airport. better news, the early-morning delay cleared. we have an accident in chester, 21st and edgemont avenue. another accident in overbrook that's causing a problem. look at this accident in overbrook. a car smashed into that traffic

light it's down, the debris all over the roadway. as the action cam zooms in, you can see the truck flipped over into the woods. that vehicle causing a problem, 59ing and up land way. obviously this intersection is blocked off, they haven't begun to pick up the debris. you have a better shot of the vehicle in the woods. ding to lancaster avenue. you can see the severity of that accident there. let's take a look outside and show you what the conditions look like in new jersey. you can see the fog here, 42 northbound a 14 minute ride from the ac expressway to the walt whitman bridge, construction is cleared overnight northbound a little volume buildings and fog certainly a factor in some spots of region, tam. >> we're starting this morning with a developing story a call from concerned relatives in pennsylvania has triggered a death investigation in florida.

in tampa when officers showed up at the home of adam matos four bodies were found a mile from the home. tristan satisteban as matos were nowhere to be found. he is autistic and concerned for his safety. >> adam if you're watching this, please let the sheriff's office have tristan. police reported to the home when tristan's mother claimed matos held a knife to her throat. authorities are not sure if they are on their way here, but they want people to be on the look out. >> princeton university wants to change the way it investigates sexual assaults on campus. the proposal would create a special team of investigators. lawyers would be allowed to represent the accusers and the

thick, be careful as you encounter that. 73 in philadelphia. dewpoint 71 degrees. it's oppressive humidity, it will be more humid than yesterday. winds are calm, so no big strong winds to remove that fog, that's one thing that would do it, we don't have that out there right now. future tracker 6 shows you we'll disburse some of the fog and wind up with sunshine and it will be a sun and clouds mix. up north there's a chance of spotty thunderstorms this continues up until dinner hour and it fades off the map. the best chance is in this area, we'll want to keep our eyes out between 2 and 7:00 p.m. and 3 and 8:00 for spotty showers and

thunderstorms. 71 degrees by 8:00 a.m. 81 by 11:00 a.m. later in the afternoon we're up to 88 by 2:00. 89 for a high at 3:00 p.m. still the mid 80s by dinnertime tonight. high temperatures across the area, 87 in allentown, 88 in reading, 87 in trenton, 88 in wilmington, better down the shore where we'll get up to 82 degrees for the high today. tomorrow, the warm, humid air is still in place, in fact in the afternoon ahead of an approaching cold front it could get into the low 90s across the region. very humid and tomorrow there's the chance of another shower or thunderstorm line coming in, only this one could feature stronger thunderstorms. the best chance appears to be in the evening later in the afternoon i have my eyes out for the northern and western suburbs. as that comes through in the early evening and over by the shore, any storms that come through could produce downpours

>> 6:44 we continue to knoll bad accident in the overbrook section of philadelphia, police have gathered where this vehicle flipped over into the woods near upland way. as we widen out there's debris all over the intersection. the vehicle before it crashed into the woods took out a traffic light. we'll widen out at some point here, once we do that, you'll see that. the driver fled the scene, but

police managed to find him shortly after that, he is being treated in the hospital for injuries. there you see the debris all over the intersection. >> what a mess there, karen rogers. that will not be open for traffic for a minute. >> reporter: we have accident investigators on the scene, police on the scene, but we've got this downed traffic light, it's debris everywhere, all over the intersection, again this is in overbrook, the action cam live on the scene 59th and upland way. avoid this area, it's going to take a while to pick up the brie and fix the pole. a nasty accident in overbrook. the fog is an issue, you can see it on my -- i-95, this is southbound near allegheny there's traffic heading into the fog heavy from past bridge to girard on i-95 southbound already a 25 minute ride at this

point. as we look at the big picture, you see the slow speeds reflected with that 17 miles per hour, 41 miles per hour on the schuylkill expressway westbound on the boulevard to past belmont. a couple of accidents in the area, a new one that's closing 66th avenue. west oak lane blocked between 15th and 16th. we have a tow truck on the scene. stick to cheltenham avenue as the alternate. we have a new accidents out there, reduced visibility you saw that in our shot of i-95. 3 miles at philadelphia international. 3 miles in the poconos. half a mile in trenton. .3 in dover. in some spots the fog is dense. it's patchy, but you're hict and it's affect -- you're hitting it and affecting your morning commute. >> a boy who was struck by a car has died. the child believed to be 10
