let's go live on sky 6. down the shore we have a few clouds hanging on that's where the cold front is sitting off the coast. even there we're seeing a decent amount of sunshine and nice breeze, everybody feeling the nice, comfortable air from canada. winds shifted out of the northwest. temperature-wise we're sitting in the mid 70s there's not too much in the way of humidity, dewpoints are down in the 50s, philadelphia, 76. allentown, 74. millville, 75. poconos, 68 degrees, everybody was up into the 90s this same time yesterday, big improvement. satellite and radar we have a few high, thin clouds to the south, jersey shore, central and southern delaware picking up cloud cover, everybody else seeing lots of sunshine. eagles taking on the jacksonville jaguars in a little less than an hour, sun and clouds, 77 degrees by 1:00 p.m. 4:00 p.m., temperatures close to 80. unfortunately it's not all smiles and sunshine in the seven-day forecast.

as a matter of fact we could see wet weather as early as tomorrow for parts of area, i'll be back in just a little bit and have the details from accuweather. >> of course the big story on "action news" is the day eagles fans have been waiting for since last january. >> it's opening day and the hopes are high that the birds go all the way. we have ducis rogers on the field at the linc and amy buckman is with tailgating fans. first we go to ducis. >> reporter: good afternoon, ladies it's been 8 long months since the eagles played a meaningful game, the long wait is over, the eagles take on the jacksonville jaguars in the 2014 season opener. a lot of questions surrounding the team. will nick foles have another good year like last year, 27 touch downs, two interceptions. the defense is it better. one thing we know for a certainty, the eagles fan will

>> reporter: only part of the excitement is on the field at lincoln financial field. if you take a look behind me, you can see the excitements starts at the -- the excitement starts in the parking lot. we have people playing bean bag, and they have great food and there's one thing that the fans know how to do. we'll have to wait for a few hours to see how the eagles perform on the field, but the fans have proven they are champion tailgaters. eagles fans know how to put out a spread. no surprise that sandwiches were on the menu with an ameroso manning the grill. >> we have pork, broccoli rob.

>> firefighters in central california continue doing battle with several wildfire, one fire has burned 300 acres and forced the evacuation of 700 homes. in another county there's been forced evacuations, but the fire at yosemite national park has been contained and the evacuation orders lifted. winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour drove the dust storm in spheen nicks. there can -- phoenix, there could be more of that and flooding rains as hurricane norbert pushes into mexico. those are crazy. >> reporter: can you imagine running into that, that's not

fog, it's sands, you can't breathe. hopefully hurricane norbert will help with that and they will get rain. go outside, there's the camden water waterfront. 76 degrees in philadelphia. trenton, # 4. poconos, 74. millville, 357. same number for dover. sea isle 75, as well. we're 20 degrees cooler than creditor. 56 in philadelphia, allentown, 53. 40 in the higher elevations, the poconos this is a very dry air mass settling in from canada. that means nice, and comfortable weather. we'll see this over the next several days. probably wednesday the humidity comes up, maybe as early as tuesday night. this is the frontal system right here that swept through that produced severe weather for the parts of the area, we did see

winds as high as 65 miles per hour. a small area of low pressure will start to develop on the front that will ride north as we get into monday. today is a nice, quiet day, tomorrow we'll see the clouds increase and then we get into the afternoon and evening hours we'll see the easterly breeze as the low develops and move into this direction here, places close to the shore will pick up low-level clouds, a chilly breeze whipping around 25 to 25 miles per hour. north and west, you'll be clear of that and you'll see a combination of sun and clouds. south and east it will be a different story. here's the forecast for today, today looks nice the rest of the way, combination of sun, those high, thin clouds. tomorrow afternoon, there's the clouds starting to roll in, they will lower and thicken across the south jersey and delaware and give way to showers and

maybe pockets of drizzle. accuweather actually thinks this is a better scenario than what you saw on the forecast model there. the more sun, actually the farther north and west you go it will be bright and sunny. him mixture of sun and clouds closer to the city. closer to the coast you'll see clouds and showers hugging places like cape may and avalon and sea isle city. today is the good beach day. cooler partial sunshine, 77 degrees on the sand. not much in the way of humidity. him if you're doing boating the waves will pick up 3 to 4 feet, so it may become choppy during the afternoon. philadelphia, cooler, less humid, sun and clouds, 80 degrees winds out of the north at 5 to 15 miles per hour. parentally cloudy overnight tonight, cooler, 53 degrees, that looks fantastic for the western suburbs. 63 in center city. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, 76 degrees

slatington, 69 degrees. tannersville, 68. quakertown, 71. chester and center city closing in on 80. glassboro, 76. gandys beach buena, 75. smyrna, 74. avalon picking up a little bit in the way of clouds, 76. surf city a delightful 74. look at these numbers, this is impressive, temperatures are anywhere from 12 to 16 degrees cooler right now than they were yesterday at this time. we were at 87 degrees this same time yesterday well on our way to that scorching 893. that doesn't even take into account how it felt with the humidity, we had feels-like temperatures close to 100 degrees in parts of the area. here's the satellite and radar composite we'll focus our attention to the south right off the coast of the carolinas, the virginia cape. next system we're watching is an area of low pressure that will develop along the front that swept through during the overnight hours. that will push north an hug the coast that means clouds for

places like avalon and sea isle city, the more in the way in the sun the farther west you go. tomorrow, most cloudy skies for the city and areas south and east. there could be a passing shower the closer to the coast you are. the winds will pick up, as well. we could see winds gusting from 25 to 35 miles per hour across south jersey and delaware. it's nice out here right now, but changes are on the way and when i step back inside i'll talk about that. >> it is almost kickoff time for the eagles season. they take on the jacksonville jaguarsmentle for -- jacksonville jaguars. for eagles fans it's about the food. people were picking up tomato pies. in roxborough, people were picking up their game time eats.

especially down the shore. it's an an enjoyable sunday around the delaware valley. this is yesterday what it felt like, 103. philadelphia itself, 100, glass borough, 100, middletown, 100, allentown, 99. this afternoon it feels-like temperatures are in the 70s. philadelphia feels like 76 degrees, 735 in wilmington. millville, 75. they are in the 60s in the poconos. real comfortable stuff is heading this way thanks to this high right there. we continue to see a north/northeasterly breeze push everything down to the south. you can see the cloud cover down here across the virginias and the carolinas. the next system we're watching is this little batch of moisture right here. your frontal system is stalled

out just like this. it will push toward the north, it will be far enough out to sea it will split the viewing area in half. east of that line you'll see clouds, and the west of that you'll see sun and clouds. the question is how much moisture does it flow back into areas of south jersey and central and southern delaware. future tracker 6, it done an lousy job up to this point, at least as other forecast moldses are suggesting. we'll see if it's right in the ends. combination of sun and clouds, monday afternoon, the low starts to approach, you can see the clouds across south jersey and delaware, north and west, lots of sunshine. that should be the trend throughout the day. accuweather thinks you'll see moisture right on the coast. east of the city, monday and tuesday, mostly cloudy skies, showers are likely, especially right there on the beach, windy at the coast, as well, we could see winds anywhere from 25 to 35 miles per hour during the peak. if you're doing boating over the
