than others. >> good morning, it's 5:30 on this tuesday. weather and traffic coming at you right now with david and karen. >> we've got some clouds still overhead as well. you can see that on satellite 6. you can see that on satellite it looks like most of the rain from that system that's just off the coast is filtering away from us to the south after we did get some of that in delaware and parts of south jersey yesterday afternoon and last evening. with that system just off the coast there is a concern about coastal flooding today and tonight at times of high tide. that would mainly be between 9 o'clock and noon and again between 9:00 p.m. and midnight tonight. it's minor flooding for the most part and we have a rip current risk. the ocean water is warm today but we'll have a lot of clouds and perhaps some spotty drizzle and some showers down the shore so not a great beach day but i wanted you to know about that. 69 degrees in philadelphia, 69 wilmington. just 59 in allentown, a little bit cooler up in the lehigh valley and towards berks. low 70's by the shore. as we're heading out the door to catch that school bus looks like it's going to be an overcast morning for the most

part, light breeze, 66 by 6 o'clock and 68 degrees by 8:00 a.m. the rest of the day a little bit warmer. in fact we spend the majority of it in the 70's. 70's degrees on the nose at 9:00 a.m., 74 at noon and your high today is 77 degrees at 3 o'clock before we slip back to 73 by 6:00. i'm posting mostly cloudy skies. there is the chance of some sunny breaks like yesterday the better chance would bely be the farther north and west you go through the region but we'll keep our eyes out for that. spotty rain and drizzle especially south of philadelphia today, karen. >> all right dave your morning commute is dry right now but not without issues here. we've had a jam-up on i-95 northbound. this is a live look at 420, some late running construction was supposed to be wrapped up. still out there and created a jam just as you head towards the airport. they've just about cleared that out. now you can see the lane's back opened and the delay is starting to thin so an improving situation on i-95. here in towamencin township we have an issue, an earlier accident brought down poles and wires so that always takes a little longer to fix and in the meantime they've shut down allentown road right at reinert road. use tomlinson road as your

alternate to avoid the delay. looking at the big picture, issues on the blue route as well with some construction. last time i showed you the speeds were in the 20's and 30's. we're back up to 55 miles an hour northbound on the blue route a better situation there, the construction is cleared. schuylkill and i-95 now in good shape, matt. >> thanks, karen. we begin with an overnight update on a shooting investigation in north philadelphia. the 17-year-old victim has died. the shooting happened on the 2400 block of west huntingdon street shortly before 9 o'clock last night. police arrived to find the teen with a gun shot wound to the chest. >> at least 19 shots were fired from a semi-automatic weapon. we know at least eight of the shots were fired from point blank range. >> he was rushed to the hospital where he later died. police do not have a suspect or a motive in this latest homicide. the search goes on for the gunman who shot a woman in the face in the city's queen village section. the action cam was on the scene late last night as police searched for clues along the 900 block of south

fifth street. the victim remains in critical condition. police gave us a further update of this investigation overnight and you will hear from them in our next half hour. >> yesterday a viral video cost running back ray rice his job with the baltimore ravens and there are questions this morning about if the fallout will and should go further. the video shows rice deliver the blows that left his then fiancé now wife knocked out on an elevator floor. "action news" reporter katherine scott is live in our satellite center and he's got more on the story. good morning. >> good morning, tam, and that fallout has been coming in a lot of different forms. stores have been pulling ray rice merchandise and there have been many questions as to whether the investigation into this incident by the nfl and the ravens was adequate and whether his punishment in the legal system was strong enough. just a note for you at home, the video you're about to see is graphic and it is violent. the video shows football star ray rice follow his then fiancé janay palm into an elevator at revel in atlantic city he punches her in the

face. she lunges toward him and then he strikes her so hard she hits a railing, falls to the floor and is knocked out cold. when the elevator doors open, he drags out her body. >> why did the video just surface with respect to the ravens seeing it for the first time. >> reporter: earlier this year video surfaced from the february incident of rice pulling her limp body from the elevator but not of the moments before. the atlantic city prosecutor's office will only say the case is settled. rice took a plea, no jail time, anger management and probation. the had handed down a two game suspension. yesterday nfl commissioner roger goodell says he never saw the video of the actual assault but did see the video of the unconscious woman being dragged out. the nfl has now suspended rice indefinitely. the ravens have terminated his contract. >> what did you think happened in the elevator before you saw the video. >> you know i don't want to get into all that. i think the team responds just the way everybody responds, you know, to these things and

again you're talking about somebody you know. >> meanwhile ray rice merchandise has been pulled from the nfl stores. no signs of the hats, jerseys and gloves on their web site. at the zone sports store in maryland sales of ray rice merchandise have been dropping since february since the news of his arrest broke. now the stores pulling what it had left to be donate d to charity. >> just going get rid of the merchandise. it's upset a lot of people and we don't want that stuff lingering around if he's not a part of the team any. >> so, the nfl and the ravens saying that they're just seeing that video of the assault for the first time but there are a lot of questions this morning as to exactly why that is. revel casino says they did release that video to police. we're live in the satellite center, katherine scott channel 6 "action news," matt. >> president obama will meet with congressional leaders as he prepares a strategy to combat the terror group isis. officials call the plan aggressive but say it will not include committing american

troops to a ground war in iraq. instead, it will rely heavily on allies to pitch in for what could be an extended campaign that could take months or 18 years to complete. president obama will lay out the offensive in a speech to the nation tomorrow. >> home depot says it's the victim of a massive hack attack. millions of its customers nationwide could be affected by this data breach. hackers busted into the payment system using the same malware that ripped off 40 million targeted shoppers. home depot says its investigation is focused on the months since april. no evidence indicates that debit card pins were stolen and online home depot customers do not appear to be victims as well but a software security expert says he's not shocked by the hack. >> the larger companies have a lot of data are often targeted more often and more heavily. >> home depot says it will cover any fraudulent charges and offer free id protection to its shoppers. home depot plans to have chip neighborhood can check outterminals at all of its

u.s. stores by the end of this year. the retailer also apologized for not notifying customers about the hack sooner. >> at least two deaths are being blamed on severe flooding in the southwest. the remnants of hurricane nor bet stranded drivers on highways in phoenix arizona along the famed las vegas strip drivers pushed through heavy ponding. another major storm system dumped flooding rains on florida with more expected today. >> you know, it's really cool out there this morning, david. i laid out shorts for the boys and now i'm thinking jeans better. >> might go back home. >> really, tam. we're in the 60's right now. storm tracker 6 live double scan shows us that we are dry and as we take a look outside we've got a fair amount of cloud cover overhead above the shore and elsewhere every now and then our sky 6 camera is bouncing a bit because like yesterday there's a bit of a breeze blowing. 69 degrees currently in philadelphia. your dewpoint is at 58 below what we would consider that threshold for humid air. winds out of the northeast at 13 miles per hour, so, yeah arc little breezy.

satellite and radar shows you how that cloud cover is still in place. a lot of it filling in overnight across most of the region. the rain that did clip a bit of delaware and jersey yesterday afternoon and evening is now pushing mainly off the coast, although we'll have to allow for a little drizzle or perhaps a spotty shower as we go through the day. in fact future tracker 6 trying to push some of that in off the ocean. how much we actually get is a little bit in question but there is the chance of a spotty shower or perhaps some drizzle especially down in south jersey and delaware. some of it might make it all the way up to philadelphia. as we roll through the day we are expecting mainly cloudy skies although i can't rule out a break through of sunshine at times. 68 degrees by 8 o'clock and then up into the 70's the rest of the way. 73 by 11 o'clock, 76 by 2 o'clock, your high of 77 around 3 o'clock today and then back to 75 degrees by 5 o'clock. your high temperatures across its region pretty even under those clouds. 75 in allentown, 76 in cape may and not too much warmer in some of our warmer spots like center city. for the phillies tonight it looks like a mainly cloudy

overcast night. a bit cool, 72 for the first pitch. 69 in the ninth inning. very similar conditions to what we had last night and it might still be a bit on the breezy side. tomorrow the low pressure center that is giving us the clouds and the spotty drizzle and showers today is going to move away and we'll see more sunshine and more warmth as the day goes on tomorrow. your exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, we're going for that high of 77 today. cloudy skies for the most part with some sunny breaks and then a spotty bit of rain or drizzle, just a touch of it at times especially south of philadelphia. we'll have to alou for it in the city as well. and then tomorrow any morning clouds give way to increased sun during the day and we get up to 80. thursday a high of 86. in the afternoon we'll have a can couple thunderstorms around maybe showers too. less humid on friday, 77 degrees and on saturday, another system comes in from the west. yesterday it was looking like we might actually get a good period of rain on saturday afternoon and night. now it's looking like it's probably just more showers. we'll keep our eyes on that for you but a bit of rain on

>> ♪ >> center city philadelphia live on sky 6 it is 5:43. it is tuesday morning and it >> let's head on over to karen rogers, she's looking out for people trying to make that commute in from the suburbs. good morning. >> if you're headed north we have a big problem just coming in right now. it's northbound on the new jersey turnpike at exit eight. a tractor-trailer fire going on right now blocking all lanes. all lanes of the new jersey turnpike. this is northbound near exit eight so if you're headed up north, headed to rutgers, going to new york and you're taking the turnpike you've got to stick instead of to the turnpike at exit eight you can use route one or 130. of course you'll quickly see a backup begin as well but this is happening right now, a tractor-trailer fire blocking all lanes.

meanwhile we'll take a little 3-d fly of the pennsylvania turnpike and we see no problem on the pennsylvania turnpike here. all the overnight construction is cleared. speeds like 65 miles an hour. looking pretty good at this hour. south jersey and delaware overview things are looking good there as well. 495, i-95 looking at 55 miles an hour and you can see in new jersey 295 is in pretty good shape as well. as well as the new jersey turnpike southbound. it's northbound near exit eight you've got the issue. outside live looking at 422, this is near 29. eastbound traffic right there not bad just yet. just a few cars out there moving along coming from collegeville or reading on 422. it's a little too early for a delay yet. roads are clear and dry out here as well so that's good municipalities on our commuter traffic report found somebody talking about some construction in plymouth meeting so watch for that one, construction zone on 476 northbound in plymouth meeting. a quick look at the temperatures. it's 69 degrees right now in philadelphia and millville. about 10 degrees cool

interallentown as you head out the door, we are dry right now, maybe a touch of rain or drizzle later on. that's the only thing that could impact your commute. matt. >> okay, thanks, karen. its search continues for the thief who stole an entire safe from a north philadelphia school. this is surveillance of the suspected thief inside mastery charter school's climber elementary. the safe contained 100 septa transit passes worth $9,200. detectives say there was no forced entry into the school. anyone with information on the theft should contact philadelphia police. >> happening today, another american diagnosed with the ebola virus is expected to arrive in atlanta for treatment. the patient is a doctor who had been working in an ebola treatment center in west africa. emory university hospital in atlanta is expected to treat the new patient. two other ebola patients dr. kent brant and nancy writebol recovered at emory as well. another u.s. doctor with ebola is being treated at a medical center in nebraska. authorities have confirmed that remains found in a rural

tennessee county do indeed belong to missing nursing students holly bobo. over the weekend people discovered a skull located near a home of a suspect in bo os murder and kidnapping. until now her remains hadn't been found. >> new this morning a seven-year-old boy from texas has been slapped with a driving citation for taking a joyride on a golf cart. it happened on a beach in galveston last week. clayton knight's mother was by his side as she let him navigate the vehicle for his birthday. she was shocked though when a police officer pulled them over and punished her boy rather than the adult who was with him. >> shocked. you know, i've never heard of a seven-year-old getting a ticket. he was worried he was going to go to jail. >> he made me write my name on the ticket thing. i was scared. >> the police chief in galveston says city law would have required the officer who issued the citation to write out one for clayton's mother.

we've got a lot of 60's on the board this morning, 64 in pottstown, 62 in saint davids. just 59 in quakertown and out in fleetwood but upper 60's in chester and center city morning. similar numbers in south jersey and delaware. hockessin is at 67. 68 in smyrna, almost 70's in dover and over 70's in woodbine, avalon and the boardwalk close to it in laces in central south jersey. if you're catching the bus or the el this morning or at any time today, here's how it's going to go. 70 degrees by 9 o'clock, 74 by noon. a high of 77 at 3 o'clock. a little bit breezy out there today like it was yesterday. and back down to 73 by 6 o'clock. mostly cloudy skies, some spotty drizzle or a little passing shower in a couple can of spots is possible but at the same time there may also be some sunny breaks so a little bit of everything today, guys. >> all right, thanks, david. new on "action news" here, a u.s. air marshal is recovering from a bizarre attack while boarding a flight from nigeria. someone injected the federal agent with a syringe filled with an unknown substance. the centers for disease control is now testing the

right leg. a rescue helicopter spotted a great white shark in the area. the man was dragged to shore but apparently had already bled to death in the water. >> a third teen now faces charges in connection with the brutal beating of a mentally challenged nan delaware. police say a 13-year-old and two 14 year old boys are among the attackers you see in that viral video. we were at new castle county police headquarters as one of the juveniles in can custody posed an ominous question to "action news" reporter david henry. >> reporter: does he have anything to say about it. >> he and another boy are free on $2,500 bail. detectives are asking the parents of other juveniles believed to be involved here to turn their children in. the victim is a 26-year-old man with a mental capacity of a seven-year-old. philadelphia police continue to sort out the details of a deadly triple shooting. this was the scene in the 4200 block of malta street in juniata park yesterday. police say a 42-year-old man
