"action news" reporter kalesk is live now from police headquarters. she has the latest. good morning, katherine. >> police believe that pregnant woman was innocent by standner all this and her baby was delivered by emergency c-section yesterday but this morning we learned from police in the hospital that overnight the baby has died. the baby's mother was pronounced dead at the hospital yesterday and the search continues for those responsible. 26-year-old megan dodo was that victim.

almost 8 months pregnant yesterday. she was near her frankford home on the 1500 block of adams avenue a friend around 11:50 watching a neighbor's children when shots broke out a block away on grisam street. she was hit by a stray bullit and rushed to the hospital where doctors performs an emergency c-section. dodo was pronounced yesterday and the hospital and police today have confirmed that the baby died overnight. a friend sitting next to her when the shots were fired explained what happened. >> i was sitting next to her and next thing you know, she was shot in the face. she's laying face down on the ground. and first thing i did was took of my hoodie to put pressure on the wound and the neighbor called the cops. >> there's now a $20,000 reward offered in connection with this case. if you have tips homicide detectives want to hear from
