life-threatening, there is still no word on what caused the crash. developing right now, some of the suspects in the brutal beating of a gay couple in rittenhouse are expected to turn themselves in. they are under pressure since police got a tip about their identifications from social media. eva pilgram is live with more on this in spring garden. >> reporter: we are still awaiting this afternoon those suspected in the brutal attack in seasoner city against a gay couple. several of their attorneys have reached out and they are expected here today and police credit social media for tracking the group down so quickly. >> this surveillance video spread quickly on social media. >> within an hour we had at least one to two suspects identify, just looking at them

from their facebook profiles. >> this was last thursday night taken just minutes after two gay men were jumped. this group of 10 or 15 people encountered the men near walnut and one man asked if they were boyfriends and homophobic slurs were thrown at them before they were brutally beaten and robbed of a wallet and cell phone. and digging by social media, helped to push the investigation forward. >> there was a tweet of the whole party, people in the video and friends. >> he says after finding this picture of the group with friends since he looked to see who was at the restaurant and clicked on links and matched pictures to the video. they say that the soesh media push hads been remarkable.

california and residents in southern arizona are preparing for the worse and sands bagging their homes as quickly as possible. we are running it down here along the straight line. >> just last week this region was rocked by deadly flooding, washing away cars and stranding drivers, now the forecasters say that 7 inches of breaking rainfall could be on the way, even more in the desert mountains. within i heard there was more rain coming in i panicked. a tropical storm dumped heavy rain in tucson for four days, it ripped apart homes and left several dead. some could have more rain than they have seen all year. for some spots it will be catastrophic flooding, so far the flooding is minimal but the wind is so powerful planes have been tossed on to car and this derail aid freight train.

like some other states in pennsylvania the laws are different. >> the surveillance video and tales of this vicious attack has spread like wild fire across the country. even after the suspected gay bashers are caught it cannot be prosecuted as a hate crime. because sexual orientation is not on the list off hate crimes in pennsylvania. >> we just legalized marriage in pennsylvania, we are not that far. we know the story, two gay men were beaten up and robbed on chancellor streets thursday night. a group of suspects 10, to 15 grabbed the victims because of self you'll orientation, once there was images, this video was tweeted and retweeted and shared again.
