>> reporter: rick, investigators are still trying to sort out exactly what happened on thursday night. more interviews are scheduled for later on this evening but i am told no charges are imminent. several persons of interest caught on tape have been interviewed by police. they deny that the gay couple was targeted and that they bu bumped into each other and a homophobic slur was said and then they got rough with a woman in the group and then a man punched one of the victims and a full scale fight broke out. this is one man and his lawyer spoke out. >> we are cooperating and we would all be wise to wait the outcome of it. the two victims suffered serious facial injuries, one had his jaw

cathedral in scranton. thousands who wear the uniform lined the street to say good-bye to one of their fallen brothers, friends family and dignitaries came to honor dixon and to try to find comfort. >> we gather here in sorrow and disbelief and anger. and most importantly we gather here in faith. the singular question many of us are asking is why. why did this heinous act of violence take place. >> dickson was ambushed last friday out sides of the blooming barracks but the killer has yet to be captured. but the service focused ondic son, a husband and father as one young son looked on. >> he was no ordinary trooper, you talk to his friends and colleagues that have known him throughout his career, he was someone that everyone admired.
