accuweather says the feel of fall isn't far behind. >> meteorologist chris sowers has the a check of the accuweather forecast. >> reporter: yesterday it was beautiful. yesterday we were close to 90. we topped out at 79. today we'll be well up into the 80s. down the jersey shore the coastal system we were watching yesterday morning that is tracking closer and closer to the delaware valley. therefore we're seeing patchy fog in some locations. the jersey shore is seeing cloud cover and scattered showers. temperature wise it's milder than yesterday at this time, but not too terribly bad, 67 degrees in philadelphia. ten cooler in allentown, 5. poconos 58. millville, 65. sea isle city, 68 degrees. here's the satellite and radar composite for the most part we're seeing partly to mostly cloudy skies this morning, right there on the immediate coast we're picking up a few scattered showers. 95% of the viewing area is dry. places like atlantic city,

brigantine, lbi picking up showers and patchy drizzle. visibility is down to 2 miles on the beach. it's a gray and gloomy morning for the shorepoints, but later on accuweather as he is expect another nice day. 9:00 a.m., 69 degrees a combination of sun and clouds, that will hold true throughout the afternoon. lunchtime 77. by 3:00 p.m., 83 and 6:00 p.m., 81 forecasting a high of 83 degrees. so it's nice, warm finish to summer. fall officially arrives late in the evening tomorrow with that comes cooler temperatures. i'll have the details in the seven seven-day forecast when i come back in just a bit. >> developing this morning, an argument ended in murder outside a club in philadelphia's olney section, four men were shot around midnight in the 5600 block of north park avenue. two victims died. two more are hospitalized in critical condition. dozens of people outside and inside the club had to scramble for cover. >> there were numerous vehicles

in the area that were struck with stray rounds and numerous casings on they highway. >> police say they recovered a 45 caliber gun and another handgun, tests will be done on the guns to see if they were the weapons involved. investigators have not announced any arrests. licenses and suspicions is being called out to see if the club had a license. officers with bullet proof vests and armed with rifles continue the process of combing the woods in northeastern pennsylvania. they are looking for the man who they say ambushed two state troopers killing one of them. roman comensky used to re-enact

are seeing thick for in parts of the area. .3 in lancaster. 3 miles in reading, 4 in reading, 8 miles in millville. it's because of this area of low pressure just now coming into the picture off the coast of the virginia cape. that will continue to push to the north, as it rushes over the next several hours it pushes back the cloud cover and patchy fog. the morning will look gray and gloomy, especially areas east of delaware river. by the afternoon we're expecting a decent amount of sunshine. it should be a good looking day. just a little bit warmer. approaching 6:30, there could be scattered thunderstorms brief passing shower west to east. i think the majority of this activity will stay across upstate new york with hit or miss showers or thunderstorms. after midnight most of this clearing out and we get into tomorrow morning and we've got mostly sunny skies and the rest of the week is smooth sailing. wait until you see the 7 day

forecast. sun and clouds, lehigh valley there's a chance 67 passing shower, 82 degrees. for the jersey shore a gray and gloomy morning, patchy fog, clouds throughout the morning hours, breaking for sunshine, later on, 77 degrees is the forecasted high with winds shifting from southeast to southwest you'll start out with the ocean breeze, the wind will run parallel to the coast. sun and clouds, humid, 84 degrees is the forecasted high, winds out of the southwest at 5 to 10 miles per hour. we should reach 83 around 3:00 p.m. the start of the third quarter for the eagles game. 6:00 p.m., 81 we'll see the increase in sunshine, especially west of the delaware river those clouds will hold on longer for southern new jersey and delaware. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, i'll tell you does it get much better than this? look at all the sunshine, 83 degrees, more sun, 73.

in altoona, pennsylvania. a norfolk southern train was heading to wilmington, delaware when it derailed. 17 cars ended up on their sides, the train was hauling new vehicles. nobody was hurt. the track was badly damaged. two adults and three children were killed in a crash in monroe county, pennsylvania. all the victims were riding in the same car. police say speed may have played a role in the tragedy. no word which car may have been speeding. the investigation into an alleged gay bashing in center city could end tomorrow or tuesday. police commissioner charles ramsey said police are interviewing witnesses. the commissioner believe they will have enough evidence to present to the district attorney. one of the alleged attackers

sea. neither one of them brings us any weather. there's the low right there there's the approaching front. the low stays out to sea bringing cloud cover toward the coast. the western suburbs looks already, combination of sun and clouds, most of the energy with the front passes by to upstate new york. we'll start out with a decent amount of clouds, 69 degrees, lunchtime, increasing sunshine, 77. 5:00 p.m., 81 degrees and is combination of sun and clouds. the eagles 5k run stepped off in drexel hill benefiting the delaware regional cancer center. the this walk has raised $500,000. david murphy serveds master of ceremonies. he greet the people and posed for pictures. looks like they had fun. >> sports now, a phillies pitcher makes history, desean jackson returns to the linc.

like, monday and tuesday. there's that area of low pressure passing on by partly to mostly cloudy skies, breaking for a decent amount of sunshine later this afternoon. that's the call from accuweather, warmer and more humid with a high of 83. guys? >> chris thank you. new this morning a pickup truck hit and killed a man who was trying to cross the street in the hunting park section of philadelphia. the action cam was on the scene of north 5th street. the pick up hit the man before midnight. the driver stopped at the scene. he is being questioned by officers. there's no word on charges. a pitbull attacked and injured three people in west oak lane. neighbors say it never should have happened. "action news" reporter, chad perdelli explains. >> reporter: a man and 11-year-old and 9-year-old are being treated for by the wounds. all three are in stable condition. we're learning tonight this is not the first time this pitbull

aattacked. this is the bill bull that mauled two kids and adult. the attack happened in the alley before 6:00 p.m. after the dog escaped this yard. >> kids were screaming. adults were upset. it's scary. >> reporter: this woman heard the children's piercing screams and rushed out under a back deck. she saw a man swinging a shovel to ward off the dog. >> the little going to was bleeding through his shorts. him i'm not sure where he got bit. >> neighbor said the mauling should never have happened. he said two weeks ago the same dog attacked his pomeranian bandit. these are photos of the injuries, bandit had to be put down. they called me at 7:00 p.m., he won't make it through the night. it's more expensive than we thought it was.

>> reporter: porter said the animal control team of philadelphia told him it does not confiscate animals for dog on dog attacks it would do so only if the owner surrender the animals. >> it took a man and two kids to get bit by the same dog. >> reporter: we reached out to animal control of philadelphia, for comment, but our temperatures have been unsuccessful. >> one thousand volunteers are searching for university virginia sophomore hannah graham. the 18-year-old has been missing for a week. volunteers met at the university basketball arena yesterday before combing areas in and around charlottesville. police have spoken to a man they think was with graham in a bar on the night she disappeared. they are calling jessie matthew a person of interest. surveillance video shows her

later and him, officers searched his car and apartment. >> it's entirely possible, we believe that hannah graham may have gotten into his vehicle. now investigators say they do not have enough information at this time to arrest or detain matthew. longo would not say if he thought graham was still alive. >> all right, eva thank you. a wildfire in california has driven three thousand people from their homes. the so-called king fire has scorched 128 square miles and only 10% contained. homeowners are devastated they are losing everything they own. >> it's sickening and horrifying and sickening. it's awful. >> the man accused of setting the fire wayne alan huntsman pleaded not guilty to arson charges. he is being held on $10 million

"good morning america" weekend will have more on the california wildfire. the search for the p-a cop killer and the missing university of virginia student. that's at 8:00 a.m. after "action news." a new jersey man is under arrest for trying to enter the white house. the secret service said kevin carr from shamong, burlington county, pulled up in his vehicle and then on foot and he was arrested for ununlawful entry. prosecutors say 42-year-old omar gonzalez was carrying a 3 1/2 inch knife. he told officials he was a veteran that did three tours of duty in iraq. he said the atmosphere was collapsing. meanwhile, the first family left for a trip to camp david before the incident.

west of city later this evening. that's the view in penns landing. not only do we see the cloud cover out there, but we're now dealing with patchy fog and a pretty big increase in humidity. it doesn't feel as crisp and cool as yesterday at this time. doesn't look quite as bright, either. storm tracker 6 live double scan, most of the activity is off the coast at this point, every now and then we're getting a spritz or sprinkle on the immediate shore front from atlantic city to surf city. most of us are dry, it's gray and gloomy. 57 in allentown, millville, 65. dover, 68. visibility are all over the place. wilmington, dover, both at ten miles. we're down the to .3 in lancaster. reading, 6 miles. philadelphia, 4. millville, 3 and trenton excuse me about.8 of a mile. if you're traveling in the areas and open roads be prepared for

rapid-changing visibility. we're watching two systems out to the south and west. this is an area of low pressure that will stay off the coast. it will come close enough to throw back cloud cover until early morning hours, that's about it. this front comes through late in the day. that's our chance of moisture. but the bulk of this will pass on by to the north. we're looking at a a couple of passing showers and rump of thunder after -- rumble of thunder after 5:00 p.m. or so. there's the front bearing down, the winds ahead of it out of the west at 10 miles per hour. that will warm us up into the 80s tomorrow. tomorrow, the winds shift out of the northwest, temperatures struggle to hit 70, probably hanging out in the 60s all day. combination of sun and clouds later this afternoon after a
