dealing with low-level clouds and patchy fog. the humidity has come up during the overnight hours. it will feel like summer here this afternoon. temperatures in the 60s. 60 in quakertown. 60 in martins creek, warrington, 65. same time david 61 and chester 67. one of the biggest changes it doesn't feel crisp out there. it's warm and sticky almost tropical like out there. agenda beach, 68. woodbine, 67. cinnaminson, 66 degrees. we have quite a bit of fog, some of it is thick, millville, 2 miles. .3 in lancaster they have been that way all morning. .8 in reading. five miles in philadelphia. 1.3 in beach haven. if you're traveling over the next hour or so, take it slow and keep the beams on low, both handles on the steering wheel. we expect the clouds to lift and skies will brighten up as the day wears on.

that's a coastal storm that will continue to you run up the eastern seaboard. it will throw back clouds across south jersey and delaware. west of the delaware breaking for more sunshine. so, the call from accuweather, 69 degrees, mostly cloudy skies, lunchtime we'll see the skies brighten up, 3:00 p.m., topping out at 83 degrees, we'll have changes on the way tomorrow, i'll have the details in the full forecast in just a bit. >> nurses at crozer-chester county started a two day strike. the action cam was outside the hospital at 7:00 a.m. when nurses walked the picket line. 550 nurses walked off the job. the union sailed the biggest problem that the hospital has cut the number of nurses. >> right now in crozer we have had department close, we are now 550 nurses. we were 8000 nurses a few years ago and our issue is they have

not left enough nurses to care for the patients. >> a spokesperson for the hospital said the nurses are among the highest paid in pennsylvania. the spokesperson said full time registered nurses average $100,000 a year. we'll have a live update on the strike on "action news" at noon. four men were shot and two killed in olney on the 56 block of north park avenue. police say an argument outside a nightclub ended with gunfire. dozens ran for safety. two were killed, two are in critical, but stable condition. >> there were numerous vehicles in the area that were struck with stray rounds. the whole street looks like it was a shooting gallery. >> police say they found two guns at the scene. investigators have not announced any arrests or said what the

argument was about. >> an suv is a mangled mess after an accident in kensington this morning. police say the driver lost control and hit a utility pole snapping it in half. the impact of the crash caused the four men inside to be thrown from the suv. all four were taken to the hospital there's no word on their conditions and no word if any charges will be filed against the driver. the search continues this morning for eric frein, the man wanted in a deadly ambush at a pennsylvania state police barracks last weekend. officers in bullet proof vests and armed with rifles continue to comb the area. frein is a self-taught survivalist with a grudge against police. authorities are looking for him in the area of where his parents

live. >> he wants them to come after him. he wants them to go into the woods. he knows enough how to set up a trap. i think the national guard should go out there, he wants to kill cops, don't send him cops. >> residents are allowed to return home after a shelter in place has been lifted. >> two children are recovering after being attacked by a dog yesterday in west oak lane. the 9 and 11-year-olds were bitten as they walked down beverly street. the pitbull went under the fence to get to the kids. a man who tried to help the kids was hurt. the neighbor said the attack wouldn't have happened if the dog was confiscated after it attacked his small dog two weeks ago. porter's dog had to be put down. >> they called me and said he did well through the night. they called me about an hour and

half later they called back and said it's more expensive than it was. >> annual -- animal control team said they don't confiscate dog on dog incidents. they can not be reached for comment. >> police commissioner charles ramsey said witnesses are being interviewed in the gay bashing incident this week. two men claim a group of ten to 15 people brutally beat them after asking if the men were a couple. one of the alleged attackers admits a homophobic slur was used. claims the fight wasn't based on on sexuality and claims one of the gay men was the initial aggressor. >> efforts continue in pennsylvania had hour to right

17 train also that jumped the track in altoona. nine of the cars ended up on their side and scattered across the track. those who lived near the track feared for their lives. >> terror, because i thought the one car was going to come down on top of me. i thought i was going to die. >> fortunately nobody was hurt in the derailment. the crash caused serious damage to the tracks which are the main railroads through altoona. a car parked nearby was crushed in the crash. >> paulsboro, gloucster county is getting new weather monitors in the wake of a derailment of a chemical tanker. the county won $150,000 in grants for the monitor. 7 cars derailed on the bridge we leasing a cloud of vinyl chloride gas.

threat for our weather in the delaware valley. one works out to sea, the other comes through dry. millville, 67, dover, 68. it's very soupy. temperatures are in the 60s and the dewpoints are in the 60s it's creating low level clouds and patchy dense fog. millville, 4 miles. .8 in reading and .3 in lancaster. there's the coastal low working off the virginias and the carolinas there's the cold front out to the west. this will push through in the overnight dry. this coastal storm is working north, northeast rather than up the coast. this will brush us and pass us on by to the north. this is the water vapor imaging you can get a better look at what's going on here, this is dry error sinking air on the backside of this low, as it works its way up the coast. really, what we'll see with both

systems is a little bit be of cloud cover today. the bulk of this is working out to sea. we have combination of sun and clouds, not much moisture out there. scene we get into the late afternoon and evening hours. the eagles game is fine, a combination of sun and clouds. we get the afternoon and early evening here comes the approaching cold front. by 6:00 p.m., the far western suburbs the skies are getting dark threatening looking. watch this, it falls apart. it he counter drier air and eats up the cold front. maybe a few passing showers or rumble of thunder, that's it. monday morning we'll see a combination of sun and clouds, much cooler with temperatures plummeting down into the 40s and 50s. look at these numbers, tuesday morning, 40s for everybody, with the exception of the city of philadelphia and extreme portions of southern new jersey.

meteorologist chris sowers joins us outside with a look at the accuweather forecast. today is the last full day of summer. >> reporter: it is and it is supposed to feel like summer later on. with this cloud cover, it's chilly. the humidity that's come up. temperatures wise we're sitting in the 60s. 67 in millville. philadelphia, 69. allentown, 63. poconos 61 and a pair of 66s in trenton. beach haven 68. satellite and radar composite we're watching a coastal system it's closer to the coast than expected. therefore we're seeing the clouds extend to the west. it includes the western suburbs and the lehigh valley. the wider view those with that system approaching from the south and another system approaching from the west we've a squeeze play going on. we'll see clouds this morning, hopefully breaking for sunshine this afternoon. looks like a gray and gloomy start out here, but it should brighten up as the day wears on.

83 degrees, humid this afternoon. wilmington, 82. trenton, 82. 83 in reading. 80 for millville. cooler on the shore, cape may, 77. atlantic city, 77. toms river 77 degrees. as we look ahead stays dry through the entire seven-day forecast. lots of sunshine, cooler temperatures, i'll tell you what, this is the nicest seven-day forecast i've ever put together since i've been forecasting in the philadelphia area. it reminds me of san diego weather quite honestly. i'll have the numbers in the seven day in just a bit. >> a man was hit and killed while trying to cross a philadelphia street overnight. it happened on north 5th street before midnight. a man in his 40s was hit by a pick up truck. the man was killed instantly. the driver of the truck stopped and so far no charges have been filed. five people were killed in a crash in monroe county this

weekend. police say four vehicles collided on route 115 in effort, 35 miles north of allentown. two adults and three children in one of the cars were killed. police think speed played a role in the crash. >> the investigation continues into what sparked a fire in a row home in southwest philadelphia this weekend. the action cam was on the scene of the 6700 morocco of green way avenue. firefighters were called at 5:00 p.m. and nobody was injured. a -- friends of a british man who is being held hostage by militant are pleading for his release. alan henning with as a taxi driver who voluntary went to syria to help civilians caught up in the civil war. a doctor who volunteered with him before his abduction last

this after a man got inside the white house. >> reporter: the secret service springing into action investigating on the grounds of the white house reacting to yet another intruder, the second one in less than 24 hours. the latest incident happening while security personnel canvass the grounds in the aftermath of another serious breach friday. that's when this man called the fence and raced across the north lawn to the white house, running 200 feet making it all the way to the port co-door and into the white house before he is arrested and prompting a full white house evacuation. the secret service said 42 omar gonzales from texas told them he was concerned the atmosphere was collapsing and needed to get word to the president. a complaint says he was armed with a black folding knife. a texas neighbor said he it was

guinea appeared to be getting ahead of the ebola. bodies of five health workers and three scrowrnists were dumped in the village latrine. the search continues for an inmate who escaped from a california jail. five inmates escaped all facing charges of attempted murder and armed robbery. four of the inmates have been caught. 29-year-old is at large and considered armed and dangerous. and investigation is underway into a deadly crash on a racetrack in wisconsin. 47-year-old was killed at the track last night. he was driving around the third corner when the car flipped and crashed into the concrete wall. the rest of the race program was cancelled. it was the first on-track fatality since it reopened in

composite we're watching two systems. an approaching cold front from the west. this area right here, there's a good slug of moisture with this, it's pushing northeasterly it's often moving away from delaware and jersey beaches. nont nonetheless we'll see him clouds and patchy fog, skies will break before the clouds roll back in this afternoon with the front. as we look at future tracker 6 in just just a second you'll notice there's no moisture with the system. we'll have warm, southwesterly winds ahead of it. we're in the low 80s. if we get a decent amount of sunshine this afternoon which accuweather feels we should. the front crosses the region, winds shift out of the northwest, the return of shine, and temperatures -- return of sunshine, and temperatures struggling to get into the 60s.
