june without a contract. they depapd pay and benefits cuts. the union members say this is not about the paychecks but concerns about staffing levels here they want more nurses hired to cover patient needs. >> you go to do a simple task with patients and you don't have an alcohol -- you don't have id tubing and running off the floor and going down central supply to get things that should be staffed on a hospital floor. >> we've been putting up with short staffing on the floors and waiting for our patients in particular trying to get them ready for the next procedure. recovering them after procedures trying to get them up on the floors and with few nurses and high census we can't send them up there. >> staffing levels exceed national standards and nurses afternoon more than 100,000 a year in wages and they contracted with a company to fly in replacement nurses and claim everything is going fine during the strike with the fill-ins and before this walk out. >> our staffing levels are

before think believe she disappeared earlier saturday night september 13. >> i believe jackie matthew was the last person she was seen with before she vanished off the face of the earth. police say matthew is seen with arms around graham's waist and two traveled from one restaurant to another 1 a.m. they believe the 32-year-old bought drinks for 18-year-old graham after she was drinking quite heavily the two got into matthew's car which they searched and are testing for clues. >> we have them together after they left the restaurant. >> matthew walked into shar let'sville police headquarters saturday and asked for lawyer and spoke to one and left an hour later without answering any questions from law ep force: police say he then sped away from the station at a high speed and now they issued an arrest warrant charging him with reckless driving. over the weekend, more than 1200 people most of them uva students

meteorologist cecily tynan here. we're on the five-hour countdown. summer is gone. >> i know it's so sad. listen only more than five hours to go. we should sit by the pool or something. what are we doing in the studio. let's go. >> let's go right now sky6 looking at center city sky line and for final hours of summer a lot of sunshine few. few fair weather clouds and sky6 doing a dance shake shaking fact that winds were on the gusty side today. and temperatures already feeling like fall. 70 in philadelphia. currently 76 is formal high for this time of year and allentown, only 65. wilmington 69. millville 70 and trenton currently 68. if you look to the west, though, pittsburgh is only 57 degrees

and in buffalo only 54. part of the reason why lake effect clouds we have winds out of the norm west and over the relatively warmer waters of the great lakes and that's what's picking up moisture in the form of clouds. winds will be diminishing tonight and this will allow some good radiational cooling and our first night of fall. the autumnal equinox occurs 10:29 tonight when the sun's raise are over the equator than is beginning of fall and big changes over the next three months. we will lose two hours and 50 minutes of daylight and average highs drop from 76 degrees today to 43 degrees on our last day of fall as we head towards winter. so fall is a big transition time. temperatures tonight falling in allentown all the way down to 42. reading 44. philadelphia chilly 51 and millville overnight low of 43.

future tracker showing tomorrow, despite a lot of sunshine. temperatures again struggling to reach the low 70s. 3:00, philadelphia likely about 71 degrees and allentown 69 and reading 68. so it's going to be another cool day. the exclusive accuweather five-day forecast showing tomorrow plenty of sunshine. nice day, cool day, high of 71. wednesday, clouds increase with a high of 74. for beginning of rosh hashanah and thursday fly in the ointment looking at possibility of weak coastal storm. big question is how far west will it track could bring rain across the shore, 70. as we head towards first weekend of fall it will feel like summer. friday, sunshine is back. 78 degrees and saturday, we bump it up to 81. summer not quite over yet we'll talk more about that potential coastal storm thursday coming up in the 7-day forecast guys. >> thank you, cecily. much more ahead in the next half

continues now with the latest on breaking news out of philadelphia olney section chopper6hd over the scene of a double shooting. this happened near tabor and old york roads outside olney transportation center near einstein medical center 4 p.m.. so an hour and a half ago. "action news" learned there was a disturbance between a group of people when it broke up, bullets started flying. a 19-year-old man and 15-year-old girl were hit. they were rushed to einstein where the girl was pronounced dead. we have an action news crew at the scene. we'll have a live report in the next half hour. >> now to a dangerous situation out west warmer temperatures and shifting winds are threatening to intensify an already tense
