monday night the big story on "action news" tonight is breaking news in the war against isis.

for the first time the u.s. is launching airstrikes against isis positioned inside syria. the attacks are being led by the united states. the reports say they are also being conducted by saudi arabia and jordan against 22 targeted tonight. it's a mix of bombers and tomahawk missiles. he is disrupting and destroying the militants. it has expanded into isis's base near raqqa, syria. abc is gathering new information. stay with us after "jimmy kimmel live." a girl was shot and killed today

between the olney transportation center and the hospital. dann is live at police headquarters. you have the full story. >>reporter:they are trying to unravel the incident what led to what police say was the shooting of two innocent bystanders. killing one and critically wounding another. a fight broke out into a group of 50 to 100 young teenagers. they were standing outside of a septa train center. >> they were rowdy and unruly. they were walking south from broad and olney towards einstein hospital. that is when minutes later the shots rang out.

>>reporter:a 15-year-old school that was walking with a friend and not in the group was struck in the back by a bullet. they rushed her into the hospital. they worked on her. she was pronounced dead. a 19-year-old male is innocent bystander was struck by three bullets to the neck. there were a number of police personnel that witnessed the melee. as a result the police were able to take five people into custody for questioning. >> we are confident that the five young adults were apprehended at broad and olney were with the crowd involved in the shooting. >>reporter:they were temporarily put on lockdown. this all happened in front of the albert einstein medical center, during rush-hour is

we have breaking news tonight from the port of los angeles where a dock is on fire. the firefighters are attacking this blaze by land, sea and air right now. the fire is threating a ship and a warehouse. other boats nearby are moved to safety. it broke out at 9:45 our time. so far 150 feet of the dock has burned. he served 23 years behind bars for the rape and murder of a 77-year-old philadelphia woman. d.n.a. evidence says that the crime was committed by somebody else. live to the criminal justice center kenneth moton. what does it mean for anthony wright? >> tonight anthony wright is in a state prison i can tell you facing a re-trial. it was an emotional moment as the common pleas judge

overturned the man's 20-year-old conviction. it were a despicable crime. anthony wright who was 20 years old at the time of the arrest was convicted. he maintained his innocence. >> did you believe him? >> yes all the way through. >>reporter:he didn't know much about his father's crime until the innocence project stepped in. the d.n.a. results matched another man. now the convicted felon that slept next to the victim's home. wright and his son were in court when the judge overturned his conviction. >> it was the only thing that they were using as solid evidence. now, what else is there? >> a lot. they plan to re-try wright.
