and the rest of the commute. >> reporter: a much nicer morning weather wise. the rain is moving away from long island up toward new england. we have patchy fog in some of the northern and western suburbs. cool to start out, 56 degrees in philadelphia. the upper 40s in allentown. close to that in reading. 52 in trenton, 5 4r in millville. a little milder down the shore. as we held out the door to get the car started tore catch the bus. 54 degrees by 6:00. 59 by 8:00 a.m. cool and clear, sunshine coming up over the horizon later on. 62 by 9:00. cool there. up close to 70 by noon. 76 by 3:00 p.m. a high of 77 probably around 3:30 or 4:00. mid 70s by 6:00 p.m. we have a lot of stuff going on this this weekend, especially the poconos where nascar takes

to the poconos speedway. i'll have the call for all of that. >> reporter: let's get to the fatal accident that's affecting your morning commute. this is the blue route northbound which is shut down between the schuylkill expressway and ridge pike. the accident happened at 2:30. you see the crews on the scene. we have a tow truck on the scene we've got police and penndot all dealing with the investigation and cleanup after this horrible accident scene shutting down the blue route northbound for a bills chunk between the schuylkill expressway and ridge pike. let's talk about some of your alternates here to deal with this closure. we can take the schuylkill expressway and the pennsylvania turnpike as one options. take the schuylkill and 202 at main street in norristown that's another way to get around or fayette street in conshohocken. the blue route northbound is closed between the schuylkill expressway and ridge pike. as we go out live to king of prussia. this is the schuylkill expressway, 422 westbound.

we've got a disabled tractor-trailer blocking two lanes here, police are assisting with this one. that's a problem, as well. an earlier accident, downed pole and wires causing a problem in montgomery county. church street, stick to fellowship road. >> an elderly woman died in a house fire in chester, delaware county. the action cam was at the scene along the 2800 block of west 10thing street. the blaze broke out at 11:30. the woman and her son became trapped. firefighters pulled the woman out of a second story bedroom she died at the scene. the red cross is finding temporary shelter for her son. investigators are looking for the cause. >> developing this morning, a freak accident left a mother in flames at a gas station in philadelphia overnight. she also critically hurt. at least there was good news

about the woman's baby. katherine scott is live outside the gas station in port richmond. good morning, katherine. >> reporter: good morning, tam, that woman remains in the hospital with third degree burns. the baby was not injured in all this. the driver remained at the scene. investigators say it's too early to know if any charges will be filed. that's where it happened the sunoco in port richmond. the cars have been towed away that were involved. the pump was knocked on its side at aramingo own is somerset. it happened around 11:30. investigators say the woman was pumping gas when a car smashed into the gas pump and knocked it over and started fire. rescue crews smashed out the back window and pulled the baby from the car. the mother was rushed to the hospital with serious burns. one man tells us he heard the sound of the crash and the tank

was down. >> reporter: one bang, that was it. by the time i got up here, like i said they were very, very, very efficient on nipping it in the bud and making sure sure it didn't escalate. >> we're hearing that the driver told investigators that she hit the gas instead of the break and that's when she lurched into the gas tank. it's very early on in the investigation and there's no word if any charges will be filed. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> pretty scary, thank you, katherine. >> reporter: the montgomery county murder trial of raghu yandamuri continues today following a chilling first day of testimony. else charged with killing is satyavahti venna and saanvi during a botched kidnapping.

since 2:30, the blue route northbound causing problems between the be schuylkill expressway and ridge pike. a fatal accident scene involving a box truck and sedan. we're seeing a tow truck on the scene an investigation happening. we can see the right lane continues to get by on the blue route northbound. you meant to avoid the area if you can. let's go to the maps and talk about the alternates. you'll see problems continuing at this point. this is the chunk that was shut down since 2:30. now they are letting the right lane get by. if you want to avoid problems take the schuylkill expressway to the pennsylvania turnpike or the schuylkill expressway to 202 to main street in norristown or take fayette street. so a few propositions for you to deal with the closures that we're seeing this morning and the restrictions on the blue route northbound. let's take a look at visibility reports, right now we're talking about ten miles vis abbott international and much of the area. the fog is very patchy and at

this point we're seeing in reading and lancaster, .3 visibility. that's the only real weather issue affecting you though. not flying out of the philadelphia yet a problem, but something in the northwestern suburbs. something to watch as you head out early. >> investigators in boston are close to catching a teenager caught on camera train surfing. it was posted on social media on the train. police believe the teenager's friend shot the video from the train window that train surfer could face trespassing charges. >> a minivan was buried in trash after the collided with a garbage truck. the truck landed on its side spilled on the road covering the minivan. a haz/mat crew had to be called in to clean up the mess. >> washington redskins playing
