good afternoon, sara bloomquist is off today, new details about the incident caught on camera in south carolina. and more on investigation into an accident a man is electrocuted on a job in delaware county. but the big story is a traumatizing accident in the port richmond section of the city. one minute a woman was filling up her car and the next she was on fire. katherine scott explains what happened. >> the victim has second degree being third degree burns on her body, she is in intensive care but is expected to survive. >> she was turning the cab and the car came and immediately hit her.

relatives rushed to philadelphia, after learning 21-year-old jacqueline lopez was on fire at a gas station, she was at this pump, when another car came smashing into it and the pump then ignited. >> i heard the pump hit the ground hard. >> lopez's 3-year-old daughter was in the backseat, a passenger from the striking vehicle kicked through the window and pulled her to safety. >> she is with her father, very traumatized and saddened that she had to see her mother go through this. >> lopez say student and works in customer service. she had just left her job to go to school. awi witness told police.

because the runway lights were unexpectedly turned off. it happened at wilmington international airport. the pilots came in and noticed the navigation lights were suddenly dark. there was no way to land safely and both pilots were forced to turn around and land at the cities they took off from. the faa is now investigating. jessie matthew, the man arrested in connection with the disappearance of a university of virginia student. he is headed back to virginia today, and authorities are releasing details of what led up to matthew's arrest on a galveston breach. the woman was at the beach to relax and came face-to-face with matthew. >> and he looked and did a double take and slammed on his brakes into the sand, he was

we are following a developing story out of delaware county where a man was electrocuted a short time ago. we are live with the latest and a driver suspected of being under the influence, the reaction from the shocked homeowner coming up and the suspect in the disappearance of a college student is coming up and the student is still missing. we begin developing story from havertown, a man in his 50s was electrocuted and another man was shocked. vernon odom is live on the scene of the 2100 block of winton avenue where the two men were working at the time. what can you tell us? >> reporter: hello rick, the scene is on winton avenue. we don't know the condition of the victims. they were working on a roof here in havertown this morning, they

hospitalized. vernon odom, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a woman was badly burned and her child pulled to safety after a freak accident in port richmond, it happened at 11:30 at sunoco station at aramingo avenue. jacqueline lopez was pumping gas when a vehicle hit the pump and it caused it to burst into flames. lopez is in the hospital with serious flames, the daughter of the striking vehicle said she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of brake smashing into the pump. the driver of a minivan was under the influence when he crashed into a home in claremont, delaware, the home is deemed uninhabitable. eva pilgram is live on the scene. >> reporter: yes we talked to the homeowners this morning. i want to show you the house, see the beams? they are holding the house up, the entire side of the house

there is gone and you can see straight into the house after a minivan came crashing through it at night. the driver, 30-year-old jason rain was under the influence when he lost control of the 2006 kia, minivan and crashed at darby road at 12:00 p.m. he was arrested a short time after, now this was the reaction of the home's owner, here rashi rashida mcintosh, the minivan crashed right into her children's room. mcintosh is a middle school teacher and she and her kids would normally have been home but they weren't because she had training at school. >> this is a wake-up call for him to get healing or something within his life so something

west 10th street. when firefighters arrived they were told that a woman and her child were trapped inside. the woman died and now the red cross is helping him with shelter. the woman's name has not yet been released . today marks two weeks since the ambush shootings of two state troopers at their barracks in the poconos mountains and the search for the suspect continues. they believe that self trained survivalist remains on the run in the poconos mountains. the team was sent to search an abandoned hotel in the mountain, frein was none to visit the bucks inn when it was open. the south carolina patrol officer that opened fire on a man during a routine traffic stop faces felony charges, the unarmed driver reached into his car to get his drivers license.

jones had no gun in his car. the trooper fired from the south carolina highway patrol is charged with assault and battery. >> video is critical in this case, as far as being able to make a decisive decision that the officer was in the wrong. back in 2012, gruber was involved in other shooting where the suspect fired first. >> any officer that is involved in the shooting is acutely aware that it can happen again and it may not turn out as well the second time. keeping that in mind the focus still has to be in mind is it reasonable to use deadly force and in this case it wasn't. >> the trooper has pleaded not guilty to the charges, his lawyer saying that jones aggressively reached for his drivers license, jones is recovering and he hopes that his
