sky all day long. looks like a picture-perfect start to the weekend. the normal for this time of year by the time we get into sunday is 73 degrees, we'll be ten degrees warmer than that come sunday afternoon. monday we start to cool off, 76 degrees, bigger changes arrive tuesday into wednesday. cooler temperatures another coastal system develops, i'll have the details in the seven-day forecast when i come back in just a bit. >> a young boy is in the hospital his mother is dead, both were hit by a septa bus. the details indicate they were victims of a tragic accident. they are crossing 15th and washington outside a crosswalk. they tried to outrun the route 27 bus, the mother died. her son cared for her until medics arrived. the bus driver is talking to police, no passengers were on

the bus. >> 73-year-old grandfather picked up his son from football practice, but never made it home alive. an alleged hit and run suv t-boned his car in east mount airy. the suv driver took off leaving the grandfather dead. the 13-year-old grand son was hurt, but expected to survive. police caught the suv driver and passenger nearby. police suspect they used drugs or alcohol before the crash. there's been a second arrest in the killing of a 15-year-old student who was an innocent bystander. one man has been charged with murder. police arrested a 17-year-old boy yesterday who also happens to be a star high school football player. tragically in front of the einstein medical center a group of friend of the family marched. >> the group was mindful a second young man quadire gibson direct a number of people to shoot in front of einstein when aisha abdur-rahman was killed and 19-year-old critically wounded. >> our children are killing one another. the morals are gone. they have no hope, they have no morality. >> reporter: at father judge the football team practiced without him. the arch die seals said while they can not comment on a situation of this nature involving a minor, the entire

school community is praying for those affected by the tragedy. those who gathered came on behalf of the family members who were too heart broken to attend. >> mainly for the family to encourage them to buffer them in this time of crisis. >> our hearts go out to all those in the philadelphia area who have lost young people. >> reporter: dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." >> a bus carrying a college women's softball team crashed in oklahoma killing four students. the crash happened interstate 35 about an hour's ride south of oklahoma city. the bus was taking players from north central texas college back to camp bus when it was hit by a truck. investigators say the truck crossed the median and slammed into the bus. 15 students and their coach was on the bus. there are reports of other injuries. there are no words on their conditions. police say suspect cop

killer eric frein planned his attacks for years. police found how to avoid policeman hunts on frein's hard drive. they searched the boonlded buck hill -- officers searched the banded buck hill in and did not find him. >> i didn't go out of my house or near my windows. >> frein gunned down state police corporal bryon dickson and seriously wounded another trooper. >> drivers and pedestrians in south jersey received a lesson in crosswalk safety and the penalties for breaking the rules. officers set up a check point on the white horse pike, they reminded drivers that failure to stop for a person in a crosswalk carries a 200-dollar fine and add two points to their license.

j walkers can receive a 354-dollar fine. >> some good news for heading to will also, drivers using the ac express way won't have to pay the tolls on tuesday in october. it's part of a campaign to showcase atlantic city as a place for a midweek escape. there's no word if the toll-free tuesday campaign will stretch into november. septa's sharon hill station is getting much-needed improvements to prevent weather related service eruptions. they will revamp a trolley pass. the imroomples will be funded by a federal grant awarded to septa earlier this week. a philadelphia tradition is set to attract thousands of people to center city. the puerto rican day parade is celebrating it's 52 year. we have a preview for "action

big race weekend down there, right now you're sitting at 355 degrees, the satellite and radar composite we have high pressure sliding in from the west that will provide us with sunshine today. for tomorrow, as well. as we go wider, the jet stream is all the way up here, thearls the storm track -- that's your storm track this weekend. any development along the rockies will be steered into canada and pushed on by to the northwest. we don't have to worry about any weather events in the foreseeable future until monday night into tuesday, you can see activity along the gulf-coast states this will slide over the panhandle and into the southern portion of the atlantic and we have another coastal system monday night into tuesday time frame. that stays away, things could change. high pressure firmly in control, nice breeze, lots of sunshine, temperatures in the 80s. repeat performance for sunday, maybe a degree or two higher,

and then we get into monday, the cold front starts to sneak in from the north. it will stay to our north, monday still a warm day, but we'll increase the clouds as the front drops on down, excuse me from the north. and that coastal system builds to the south. we'll get lots of clouds that increase in the afternoon. tuesday the front slides through and the potential is there for a little bit of moisture, but, again it's far away. lehigh valley, mostly sunny skies, pleasant afternoon, 80 degrees, low dewpoints that means comfortable conditions not much in the way of humidity. the jersey shore, on the beach, beautiful, sunny skies and nice, 76 degrees, again, very low humidity levels, be the waves will be choppy if you're doing boating. these will build 3 to 5 feet. philadelphia, 82 degrees, sunny skies, warm, wind out of the north at 5 miles per hour. we should reach 82 by 3:00 p.m. 76 degrees by 6:00 p.m. this afternoon. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast at 5:00 p.m.
